The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been widely deployed for the emergency communication recovery in 6G-enabled internet of vehicles (IoV) networks for Industry 5.0 due to its advantages such as high mobility,low cost and on-demand deployment. However,in a practical three-dimensional (3D) space urban road scenario,the obstructions from the buildings or interchange bridges,as well as the limited transmit power and quantity of UAVs,cannot satisfy the vehicles' communication quality of service (QoS) for UAV-assisted IoV networks. To address these challenges,we propose a QoS-aware UAVs 3D coverage deployment algorithm (QUCDA) to maximize the number of vehicles covered by UAVs based on the machine learning algorithms. The QUCDA takes into account the unique 3D urban environment characteristics and the QoS requirements of IoV networks,which are crucial factors that traditional optimization algorithms often overlook. More specifically,the proposed QUCDA improves on traditional genetic algorithm (GA) and consists of two key steps: first,a novel approach is developed to generate the initial population utilizing the K-means clustering algorithm to improve the quality of the solution. Subsequently,we propose the K-means initialized grey wolf optimization (KIGWO) algorithm to improve the diversity through a random replacement strategy. The experimental evaluation is conducted using a realistic 3D urban environment dataset,including the road locations,heights,and other environment details. Abundant simulation results demonstrate that,compared with the traditional GA,the particle swarm optimization (PSO) and the sine cosine algorithm (SCA),the proposed QUCDA can make the communication coverage reach 100%,effectively improve the system capacity and the coverage rate. The result is expected to be useful for achieving future smart city in 6G-enabled IoV networks for Industry 5.0. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

In the context of dual-carbon policies, the energy system of industrial parks is moving towards zero-carbon. Zero-carbon parks aim to reduce the portion of the energy system that is generated by traditional fossil fuels, and one important way to do this is to clean up the energy supply. With the development of demand response, the source-side characteristics of demand-side flexible resources are exploited. In this paper, a comprehensive evaluation system is constructed from the perspectives of dispatchable capacity, response speed, economy, and carbon reduction effect of demand-side flexible resources to provide a basis for evaluating the dispatchable potential of demand-side flexible resources. At the same time, a set of real-time evaluation model calculation methods is constructed based on this evaluation system using analytic hierarchy process. In addition, based on this system, the particle swarm optimization algorithm used for scheduling is improved, and a particle swarm optimization algorithm with variable step size in the region is proposed. Finally, taking a conference center in Xiong'an New Area as an example, based on the index evaluation system, we constructed a real-time evaluation model of its demand-side flexible resources and carried out the optimized scheduling a few days ago with the improved PSO algorithm on the basis of the evaluation, which confirms the feasibility of the system and the improved optimization-seeking algorithm.

Full driving automation imposes to date unmet performance requirements on camera and computer vision systems, in order to replace the visual system of a human driver in any conditions. So far, the individual components of an automotive camera have mostly been optimized independently, or without taking into account the effect on the computer vision applications. We propose an end-to-end optimization of the imaging system in software, from generation of radiometric input data over physically based camera component models to the output of a computer vision system. Specifically, we present an optimization framework which extends the ISETCam and ISET3d toolboxes to create synthetic spectral data of high dynamic range, and which models a state-of-the-art automotive camera in more detail. It includes a state-of-the-art object detection system as benchmark application. We highlight in which way the framework approximates the physical image formation process. As a result, we provide guidelines for optimization experiments involving modification of the model parameters, and show how these apply to a first experiment on high dynamic range imaging. © This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. In this study, we investigate the robust feedback stability problem for multiple-input-multiple-output linear time-invariant systems involving sectored-disk uncertainty, namely, dynamic uncertainty subject to simultaneous gain and phase constraints. This problem is thereby called a sectored-disk problem. Employing a frequency-wise analysis approach, we derive a fundamental static matrix problem that serves as a key component in addressing the feedback stability. The study of this matrix problem heavily relies on the Davis-Wielandt (DW) shells of matrices, providing a profound insight into matrices subjected to simultaneous gain and phase constraints. This understanding is pivotal for establishing a less conservative sufficient condition for the matrix sectored-disk problem, from which we formulate several robust feedback stability conditions against sectored-disk uncertainty. Finally, several conditions based on linear matrix inequalities are developed for efficient computation and verification of feedback robust stability against sectored-disk uncertainty. EchoTrack: Auditory Referring Multi-Object Tracking for Autonomous Driving

This paper introduces the task of Auditory Referring Multi-Object Tracking (AR-MOT), which dynamically tracks specific objects in a video sequence based on audio expressions and appears as a challenging problem in autonomous driving. Due to the lack of semantic modeling capacity in audio and video, existing works have mainly focused on text-based multiobject tracking, which often comes at the cost of tracking quality, interaction efficiency, and even the safety of assistance systems, limiting the application of such methods in autonomous driving. In this paper, we delve into the problem of AR-MOT from the perspective of audio-video fusion and audio-video tracking. We put forward EchoTrack, an end-to-end AR-MOT framework with dual-stream vision transformers. The dual streams are intertwined with our Bidirectional Frequency-domain Cross-attention Fusion Module (Bi-FCFM), which bidirectionally fuses audio and video features from both frequency- and spatiotemporal domains. Moreover, we propose the Audio-visual Contrastive Tracking Learning (ACTL) regime to extract homogeneous semantic features between expressions and visual objects by learning homogeneous features between different audio and video objects effectively. Aside from the architectural design, we establish the first set of large-scale AR-MOT benchmarks, including Echo-KITTI, Echo-KITTI+, and Echo-BDD. Extensive experiments on the established benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed EchoTrack and its components. Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a neurological condition that can cause severe physical and mental disabilities or death. One of the serious consequences of TBI is intracranial hematoma that can be diagnosed through early and proper analysis of the brain CT images. Proper estimation of hematoma volume is essential for envisaging the 30-day outcome. The Tada formula is the gold standard used by radiologists to quantify the hematoma volume in CT images which will provide accurate results only for symmetrical hematoma configurations. Manual volume assessment is further subjective and time-consuming, especially in real-time acute clinical care set-up. Hence a computer-aided scheme that uses image processing techniques for rapid, precise, and reliable assessment of hematoma volume is developed. The CT images are pre-processed using histogram equalization and gray matter is further extracted using thresholding and morphological operations. Then the hematoma regions are extracted using thresholding and the 3D hematoma volume for the entire CT scan is computed by multiplying the image width and the total area of hematoma in all CT images. The obtained hematoma volumes are clinically validated by radiologist and the proposed approach achieved an average accuracy of 89.51%. A 3D modeling of the hematoma regions in a CT scan was further generated to provide an extensive visual aid for improved hematoma interpretation and strategic analysis. The entire process of automated hematoma volume computation and generation of 3D volume in a CT scan took around 13 seconds using standalone system. The outcomes of the experiment show that the proposed method can be used as a medical support system for rapid and accurate diagnosis of hematoma.

The operating state assessment is an important task in distribution network, result of which can offer support on the safety analysis and control decision. With the deployments of advanced supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and micro-phasor measurement units (µPMU), massive amount of measurement data is collected, which makes it possible for the real-time operating state assessment of the entire system. In this paper, a data-driven approach is proposed for real-time operating state assessment in distribution networks. Firstly, spatio-temporal data set is formulated by arranging highdimensional synchrophasor measurements in chronological order. Based on the empirical spectral analysis of signal plus noise matrix using the Ring Law in the RMT, the mean spectral radius (MSR) is introduced to indicate the system state in macroscopic. The developed approach is sensitive to the variation of the system state and robust against random fluctuations and measurement errors. Cases on the synthetic data generated from IEEE standard test system validate the effectiveness of the approach.

A combination of two shared input splitting capacitor banks and varying number of individualized inverter-leg flying-capacitors characterized topological feature of a large group of 5L ANPC inverters configurations. The inconveniences in the provision of these per phase flying-capacitors make these configurations less attractive in most applications. The 5L E-type inverter, characterized by four shared input capacitor banks, becomes a viable alternative topology. However, the high blocking-voltage rating of the constituent switches still places restrictions on the use of the 5L E-type inverter within this voltage range. In view of this, this paper presents a reconfiguration of the 5L E-type inverter. To lessen the voltage stress on the switching devices used here, the common node of the E-type inverter’s bidirectional switch is investigated. Inverter costs and losses are influenced by the decreased voltage stress. The carrier-overlapped pulse-width modulation, or COPWM, perspective serves as the foundation for the inverter control technique. Simulated results of the inverter performances are presented together with an analysis of the cost competitiveness of the proposed inverter power circuit. A 17.68% reduction in loss dissipation and a 13.61% cost savings were recorded by using the proposed power circuit. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Most places in the world have seen rapid increases in the need for power. It is essential to look for alternatives and energy-saving technologies because traditional fossil fuel power plants emit pollution in addition to the electricity they produce. This work considers a multi-generational heating system with the hybrid Electric/Solar Water Heaters (ESWHs) to replace electric water heaters (EWH)by combining the ESWH with an Aluminum reflector. This work experimental discusses the performance of the ESWH and the influence of placing a reflector plate underneath the evacuated tubes in Baghdad-Iraq. A test procedure to heat the water to a specified heating temperature over the whole day period was conducted to analyze the daily power consumption profile of the system. Four operational scenarios have been conducted including the mode;the ESWH as a solar water heater, ESWH as an electric water heater, ESWH without a reflector, and ESWH with a reflector plate. The experimental analysis confirmed that the presented multi-generational heating configuration could contribute to energy sustainably. The developed multi-generational heating system achieved an improvement in annual energy consumption of 15.4% over the hybrid electric/solar water heater and 46.2% over the traditional electrical water heater. © 2023, The Authors. To deal with low efficiency of existing Web service composition algorithms under dynamic environment, this paper proposes a Top-k QoS-optimal service composition algorithm based on QWSC-K static algorithm. The algorithm first considers the influence of dynamic environment on the existing service composition and service dependency graph, and classifies the changed services in dynamic environment. Moreover, different strategies are adopted to obtain the intermediate results of service composition for different categories of services. The influence of different service categories on the service dependency graph is analyzed to realize the updating of the service dependency graph. Finally, based on the updated service dependency graph and the intermediate results of the service composition, the adaptive incremental update can be applied to change the original service composition results, avoiding the time-consuming re-query process. Experiments show that the algorithm is efficient and accurate in dynamic environment. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
