Feature matching is a fundamental and critical step for many tasks of computer vision. In recent years, many methods for feature matching have been proposed. However, the image alignment algorithm used in the state-of-the-art matching method is not robust enough, and the number of the features extracted from the images are insufficient, thus the performance obtained by the state-of-the-art matching method is unsatisfactory. To address these issues, firstly, we use a more robust geometric estimation algorithm to align image pairs. Secondly, based on aligned image pairs, we design a content-aware block to more focus on effective features by using a feature extractor and a mask predictor. Experimental results show that our method achieves more superior results, and outperforms several classical and deep learning methods on the HPatches dataset. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The brain is the most sophisticated and complex organ in the human body. Nowadays, diagnosing complex and diverse brain diseases is a hot topic. Alzheimer's Disease (AD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and others are common brain diseases. With the increased usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medical image analysis, the endeavor to make AI comprehend brain images for assisting doctors in making objective diagnoses of brain diseases has gained considerable attention. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) is a widely used tool for diagnosing and analyzing brain ***, the Pearson correlation coefficient (PCC) method constructs a dynamic functional connectivity (dFC) network using a fixed window size. However, this method has limitations as it is challenging to extract potential high-level features from the dFC and determine local feature relevance. This paper presents a method for constructing dFC based on multi-scale sliding windows and proposes Multi-scale Convolutional Neural Networks (MsCNN) for learning and analyzing dFC at various scales. Finally, a deep fusion of features learned at different scales is employed for the diagnostic classification of brain *** to the rs-fMRI dataset from ADNI, the classification accuracy was 84.0% for eMCI/lMCI, 84.4% for lMCI/AD, and 58.4% for NC/eMCI/lMCI/AD. Applied to rs-fMRI data from ABIDE, the accuracy was 74.7% for ASD/NC. The proposed method exhibits robust classification performance and introduces a new approach to diagnosing other brain diseases. © 2023 IEEE.

Traditional deep learning models have limited ability to extract features from pneumonia images. This study combines convolutional attention modules with transfer learning to improve the model's feature extraction ability and simplify *** article has discovered an improved CBAM-Xception neural network pneumonia model. This network uses Xception as the main network, and combines with the convolutional attention CBAM module to enhance the expression of lesion information and suppress irrelevant information interference;At the same time, transfer learning is introduced to prevent over fitting when the sample data amount is small. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the optimization model, experimental simulation tests were conducted on the Mendeley Data public pneumonia dataset. The improved model achieves 94.2% accuracy in classifying four images of COVID-19, bacterial pneumonia, viral pneumonia and normal chest on the test set, and the optimization effect is significant. In order to further verify the performance of this method, the experiment divided the small sample data set to train the model, and divided the large sample data to test the generalization performance of the model. The results show that the model in this paper has good generalization ability. Offshore wind power transmission systems require high capacity, and LCC-based HVDC transmission systems are well-suited to meet this demand. Nevertheless, LCCs are dependent on the grid to supply commutation voltage, and in the event of voltage dips or distortions in the grid, commutation failures can readily occur. This results in significant oscillations between the AC and DC sides, thereby compromising the system’s safe and stable operation. This paper introduces a method to enhance the system’s resilience to commutation failures by integrating an MMC-based VSC-HVDC system in parallel with an LCC-HVDC inverter station. The MMC offers the advantage of decoupled control of active and reactive power, enabling it to stabilize the AC bus voltage. By maintaining the stability of the AC bus voltage, the resilience of the parallel system to commutation failures is augmented, thereby improving the overall stability of the combined transmission system. Subsequently, a parallel hybrid HVDC system model was developed in PSCAD/EMTDC to simulate AC grid faults, and a coordinated control strategy was formulated. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed control method significantly enhances the system’s capability to withstand commutation failures. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Co., Ltd. 2025.

The load on a power station varies from time to time due to uncertain demands of the consumers and is known as variable load on the station. Also it is known to have an effect on the performance of a power system stabilizer while damping inter-area oscillation. In this paper conventional lead lag PSS and PSS2B are assessed on real case studies;Peerdawod Gas power station in north of Iraq- Erbil. The PSS utilizes the local rotor speed and power as its input. To investigate the effects of dynamic loads on power systems stability, the effectiveness of PSS is tested and compared with the variation of loads during and after sadden faults. The simulation software that used MatlabTM/Simulink;and results of this paper contribute to the understanding of how load variations influence the system damping based on PSS. © 2023 IEEE.

The structure of the rocket-borne model is inherently complex, with processed images exhibiting high resolution and generating substantial amounts of data and calculations. Achieving robust real-Time computing on an embedded platform poses significant challenges due to strictly limited resources, power consumption constraints, and size limitations. Our review of rocket-borne applications reveals considerable variability in the design resources of different devices, indicating a need for expanded design approaches. Upon evaluating existing methods, we identified two primary drawbacks. First, certain operators within the high-resolution target detection model are difficult to parallelize, resulting in significant inference delays that hinder the ability to meet task requirements. Although existing methods have been extended, there remains significant potential for performance enhancement in core scheduling for poor acceleration. This paper proposes an optimized architecture for the target detection algorithm accelerator designed for high-resolution images, along with a novel highly parallel data pre-processing and post-processing module implemented on FPGA to address these issues. Compared to the ARM implementation, this architecture demonstrates an improved performance of 24.64x. Furthermore, to ensure flexible application across various rocket launch scenarios, we introduce an optimization structure for convolution, pooling, and fusion operators and a multi-core expansion optimization method. This approach yields a 1.29x improvement in computing unit utilization compared to state-of-The-Art multi-core scaling efforts. Finally, we assessed the accelerator architecture across multiple FPGA platforms, achieving a peak processing element utilization rate of 99.71% for a single core and layer. Traffic prediction of wireless networks attracted many researchersand practitioners during the past decades. However, wireless traffic frequentlyexhibits strong nonlinearities and complicated patterns, which makes it challengingto be predicted accurately. Many of the existing approaches forpredicting wireless network traffic are unable to produce accurate predictionsbecause they lack the ability to describe the dynamic spatial-temporalcorrelations of wireless network traffic data. In this paper, we proposed anovel meta-heuristic optimization approach based on fitness grey wolf anddipper throated optimization algorithms for boosting the prediction accuracyof traffic volume. The proposed algorithm is employed to optimize the hyperparametersof long short-term memory (LSTM) network as an efficient timeseries modeling approach which is widely used in sequence prediction *** prove the superiority of the proposed algorithm, four other optimizationalgorithms were employed to optimize LSTM, and the results were *** evaluation results confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed approachin predicting the traffic of wireless networks accurately. On the other hand,a statistical analysis is performed to emphasize the stability of the proposedapproach.

Learning behavior in legged robots presents a significant challenge due to its inherent instability and complex constraints. Recent research has proposed the use of a large language model (LLM) to generate reward functions in reinforcement learning, thereby replacing the need for manually designed rewards by experts. However, this approach, which relies on textual descriptions to define learning objectives, fails to achieve controllable and precise behavior learning with clear directionality. In this paper, we introduce a new video2reward method, which directly generates reward functions from videos depicting the behaviors to be mimicked and learned. Specifically, we first process videos containing the target behaviors, converting the motion information of individuals in the videos into keypoint trajectories represented as coordinates through a video2text transforming module. These trajectories are then fed into an LLM to generate the reward function, which in turn is used to train the policy. To enhance the quality of the reward function, we develop a video-assisted iterative reward refinement scheme that visually assesses the learned behaviors and provides textual feedback to the LLM. This feedback guides the LLM to continually refine the reward function, ultimately facilitating more efficient behavior learning. Experimental results on tasks involving bipedal and quadrupedal robot motion control demonstrate that our method surpasses the performance of state-of-the-art LLM-based reward generation methods by over 37.6% in terms of human normalized score. More importantly, by switching video inputs, we find our method can rapidly learn diverse motion behaviors such as walking and running. © 2024 The Authors.
