The sample’s hemoglobin and glucose levels can be determined by obtaining a blood sample from the human body using a needle and analyzing ***(HGB)is a critical component of the human body because it transports oxygen from the lungs to the body’s tissues and returns carbon dioxide from the tissues to the *** the HGB level is a critical step in any blood analysis *** often indicate whether a person is anemic or polycythemia *** ensemble models by combining two or more base machine learning(ML)models can help create a more improved *** purpose of this work is to present a weighted average ensemble model for predicting hemoglobin *** optimization method is utilized to get the ensemble’s optimum *** optimum weight for this work is determined using a sine cosine algorithm based on stochastic fractal search(SCSFS).The proposed SCSFS ensemble is compared toDecision Tree,Multilayer perceptron(MLP),Support Vector Regression(SVR)and Random Forest Regressors as model-based approaches and the average ensemble *** SCSFS results indicate that the proposed model outperforms existing models and provides an almost accurate hemoglobin estimate.

For doubly salient reluctance machines, the magnetic saturation effect easily occurs, thereby the saturated inductance with complex analytical expression brings difficulties to the inductance modeling procedure during position sensorless control. To tackle this issue, a direct solution from electrical machine design is introduced to regulate magnetic flux distribution. The key is to insert tangentially-magnetized-slot-permanent-magnet into stator slots, thus relieving the magnetic saturation in the stator teeth. Consequently, unsaturated inductance characteristics can be acquired through the magnetic saturation relieving effect, thereby the inductance modeling effort can be significantly decreased, and such design is friendly for doubly salient reluctance machine position sensorless drive application. © 2024 IEEE.

The novel Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has begun in China and is still affecting thousands of patient livesworldwide *** X-ray and Computed Tomography are the gold standardmedical imaging modalities for diagnosing potentially infected COVID-19 cases,applying Ultrasound(US)imaging technique to accomplish this crucial diagnosing task has attracted many physicians *** this article,we propose two modified deep learning classifiers to identify COVID-19 and pneumonia diseases in US images,based on generative adversarial neural networks(GANs).The proposed image classifiers are a semi-supervised GAN and a modifiedGANwith auxiliary *** one includes a modified discriminator to identify the class of the US image using semi-supervised learning technique,keeping its main function of defining the“realness”of tested *** tests have been successfully conducted on public dataset of US images acquired with a convex US *** study demonstrated the feasibility of using chest US images with two GAN classifiers as a new radiological tool for clinical check of COVID-19 *** results of our proposed GAN models showed that high accuracy values above 91.0%were obtained under different sizes of limited training data,outperforming other deep learning-based methods,such as transfer learning models in the recent ***,the clinical implementation of our computer-aided diagnosis of US-COVID-19 is the future work of this study.

This research introduces a new method, Fractional Order Sliding Mode control (FOSMC), to manage leg exoskele-tons during gait rehabilitation. This innovative algorithm utilizes fractional calculus principles to precisely regulate the joints of the exoskeleton. By integrating fractional order dynamics, the controller effectively handles the complexities and uncertainties inherent in human walking patterns. This leads to more precise tracking, lower energy usage, and increased comfort for patients during rehabilitation. Additionally, the application of Lyapunov theory ensures the stability of the system. The effectiveness of this control method is assessed through simulation examples in the study. © 2024 IEEE.

For scanning electronmicroscopes with high resolution and a strong electric field,biomass materials under observation are prone to radiation damage from the electron *** results in blurred or non-viable images,which affect further observation of material microscopic morphology and *** blurred images to their original sharpness is still a challenging problem in image *** can’t effectively separate image context dependency and texture information,affect the effect of image enhancement and deblurring,and are prone to gradient disappearance during model training,resulting in great difficulty in model *** this paper,we propose the use of an improvedU-Net(U-shapedConvolutional Neural Network)to achieve image enhancement for biomass material characterization and restore blurred images to their original *** main work is as follows:use of depthwise separable convolution instead of standard convolution in U-Net to reduce model computation effort and parameters;embedding wavelet transform into the U-Net structure to separate image context and texture information,thereby improving image reconstruction quality;using dense multi-receptive field channel modules to extract image detail information,thereby better transmitting the image features and network gradients,and reduce the difficulty of *** experiments show that the improved U-Net model proposed in this paper is suitable and effective for enhanced deblurring of biomass material characterization *** PSNR(Peak Signal-to-noise Ratio)and SSIM(Structural Similarity)are enhanced as well.

In the contemporary era of information technology, the exponential surge in data has rendered colossal potential value, which would be fully unlocked through data circulation and sharing. However, when the data contains sensitive information, special attention must be paid to the data privacy and security problem for data sharing. A feasible solution is to incorporate blockchain technology into the data sharing system, and the new challenge is how to provide fair rewards for data owners to motivate them to contribute data. To address this challenge, in this paper, we first design a blockchain-based data sharing system to enhance the trust and reliability of the data shared among participants. Then we propose an incentive allocation method based on the Shapley value, which comprehensively incorporates each participant’s contribution while ensuring fairness for the allocation. Finally, multiple numerical simulations are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

To remove image haze and make haze image scene clear, we proposed an image dehazing network based on multi-scale feature extraction (MSFNet) in this paper. The MSFNet first directly performs feature extraction on hazy images with three different resolutions to obtain fine feature maps and concatenates them with the rough feature maps extracted in the downsampling process for fusing and obtaining richer image information. Then, the fused feature maps are put into a network module composed of ResNeXt building blocks for network learning. Next, the feature maps extracted by upsampling are sequentially concatenated with the feature maps learned by the ResNeXt module for obtaining the residual image. Finally, the learned residual image is added to the input hazy image to obtain the image dehazing result. The experimental results on the SOTS dataset show that the MSFNet improves effectiveness of image dehazing. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

One of the most critical problems facing the blockchain technology industry right now is how to protect the privacy of users’ data on the blockchain in a way that is both effective and cheap. Based on the Pedersen commitment and the Schnorr protocol, this study comes up with a secure multi-party computing protocol (BPLSM). By making the structure of the protocol and doing formal proof calculations, it has been shown that the protocol can be used in the blockchain network to combine private messages for efficient signing while keeping people’s identities secret. Furthermore, by looking at the nature and security of the protocol, it is also possible to find that the BPLSM protocol on the blockchain has a low cost of computing and a high level of information secrecy. Furthermore, it was found that the BPLSM protocol takes less time to check than the current mainstream BLS signature in a simple multi-party transaction with a fixed number of participants. © 2024 The Author(s).

With the continuous deepening of Artificial Neural Network(ANN)research,ANN model structure and function are improving towards diversification and ***,the model is more evaluated from the pros and cons of the problem-solving results and the lack of evaluation from the biomimetic aspect of imitating neural networks is not inclusive ***,a new ANN models evaluation strategy is proposed from the perspective of bionics in response to this problem in the ***,four classical neural network models are illustrated:Back Propagation(BP)network,Deep Belief Network(DBN),LeNet5 network,and olfactory bionic model(KIII model),and the neuron transmission mode and equation,network structure,and weight updating principle of the models are analyzed *** analysis results show that the KIII model comes closer to the actual biological nervous system compared with other models,and the LeNet5 network simulates the nervous system in ***,evaluation indexes of ANN are constructed from the perspective of bionics in this paper:small-world,synchronous,and chaotic ***,the network model is quantitatively analyzed by evaluation indexes from the perspective of *** experimental results show that the DBN network,LeNet5 network,and BP network have synchronous *** the DBN network and LeNet5 network have certain chaotic characteristics,but there is still a certain distance between the three classical neural networks and actual biological neural *** KIII model has certain small-world characteristics in structure,and its network also exhibits synchronization characteristics and chaotic *** with the DBN network,LeNet5 network,and the BP network,the KIII model is closer to the real biological neural network.
