With the emerging technology for distributed generation and urge of improving quality of service of power supply for energy users, more and more Microgrids (MGs) are integrated into the distributed networks to serve the energy users. These Microgrids are gradually formulating a Multi-Microgrid System (MMGS, Multi-Microgrid System), which will play an important role for the future energy supply. Building a centralized control center not only increases the expense of investment, but also brings the issues of maintaining fairness among energy users. To address these problems, this paper proposes a peer-to-peer method for energy trading of MMGS, based on the idea of decentralized trading. An auction-based trading mechanism suitable for peer-to-peer energy trading is proposed first. For this mechanism, the MGs firstly declare their energy buying bids or selling quotations. Then, the market-clearing price is determined by using a unified weight clearing algorithm in a decentralized manner. By applying the edge technology of Blockchain, the implementation of the proposed peer-to-peer energy trading method, including the architecture, procedures, security check, etc., is also discussed. The proposed Blockchain-based energy trading platform can realize the decentralized and autonomous energy trading of MGs within an MMGS. A case study with an MMGS with 10 MG units is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

This paper discusses the position control problem for the active magnetic bearing (AMB) suspension system under external disturbance. The command filtered approach is applied for the controller design to reduce the complexity for repeatedly calculating the analytic derivatives of the virtual control with less computation effort compared to standard backstepping. The adaptive law and robust terms are obtained through Lyapunov theory and asymptotic stability can be guaranteed for the filtered tracking errors. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is adopted to adjust the control parameters with guaranteed dynamic performance. Finally, the simulation results illustrate the tracking performance can be made arbitrarily close to the solution of standard backstepping. © 2018 IEEE.

Computational models of emotional learning observed in the mammalian brain have inspired diverse self-learning control approaches. These architectures are promising in terms of their fast learning ability and low computational cost. In this paper, the objective is to establish performance–guaranteed emotional learning–inspired control (ELIC) strategies for autonomous multi–agent systems (MAS), where each agent incorporates an ELIC structure to support the consensus controller. The objective of each ELIC structure is to identify and compensate model differences between the theoretical assumptions taken into account when tuning the consensus protocol, and the real conditions encountered in the real system to be stabilized. Stability of the closed-loop MAS is demonstrated using a Lyapunov analysis. Simulation results based on the consensus task of a group of inverted pendulums demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed ELIC for stabilization of nonlinear MAS.

This study introduces rotor-edge current control concerning stator-edge power behavior based on the online tuned Resonant Proportional-Integral Regulator using Discrete-BAT optimization Algorithm (DPIR-ON-DBAT) for the DFIG-WPGS as a Recurrent Artificial Neural Network (RANN). The DPIR-ON-DBAT is designed to control the distorted system with several dynamic positions and control goals. The +dq rotor-edge current components, swings of electromagnetic torque and stator-edge power, are regulated by the proposed control with a resonant part oscillated at 6-times the main system frequency. Consequently, these variables are instantly regulated by the DPIR-ON-DBAT technique without extra succession disassembling the segments. The simulation results are implemented using Matlab-Simulink for the introduced control of a 2MW DFIG-WPGS, which gave a better dynamic behavior than the customary PIR-Naslin and PI control principle.

The problem of control object with the use of feedback loop is extremely relevant, because only this method provides for the accurate control. It happened that the theory of automatic control paid much attention to the methods of regulators design based on mathematical transformations, using a mathematical model of the object. It describes the transformation of an input signal into an output signal inside the object. The methods were imperfect, so one of the following simplification methods was the most frequently used: the mathematical model of the object was simplified, or the calculations were carried out with approximation, for example, the oscillations in the system were studied by the amplitude and phase of the first harmonic only. Therefore, the result of using such regulators in practice did not exactly correspond to the theory provisions. To get mathematical and experimental basis of system developer tool, a solution of the elementary sub-problems was required. Among them there are tasks of the control of an object of the first and second order. Today the situation has changed. There is a means of sufficiently accurate mathematical modeling of the behavior of the system consisting of the loop with an object and a regulator. There are software and mathematical means for regulator calculating by the method of numerical optimization. Now there is sufficient software for calculating the regulators of the object, having a rather complex mathematical model. However, this did not change the situation. A lot of articles are still published, in which it is suggested performing additional fine tuning to achieve the required parameters after calculating the regulator and its technical implementation. Quite a big number of articles is still being published;they consider the methods of the empirical tuning of regulators based on the parameters of the transient process with a given fixed gain coefficient. Expected for many promising applications in the field of electronics and optoelectronics, a reliable method for the characterization of graphene electrical transport properties is desired to predict its device performance or provide feedback for its ***, the commonly used methods of extracting carrier mobility from graphene field effect transistor or Hall-bar is time consuming, expensive, and significantly affected by the device fabrication process other than graphene *** we reported a general and simple method to evaluate the electrical transport performance of graphene by the van der Pauw–Hall *** annealing graphene in vacuum to remove the adsorbed dopants and then exposing it in ambient surroundings, carrier mobility as a function of density can be measured with the increase of carrier density due to the dopant re-adsorption from the ***, the relationship between the carrier mobility and density can be simply fitted with a power equation to the first level approximation, with which any pair of measured carrier mobility and density can be normalized to an arbitrary carrier density for *** experimentally demonstrated the reliability of the method, which is much simpler than making devices and may promote the standard making for graphene characterization.

Modern power systems are evolving into sociotechnical systems with massive complexity, whose real-time operation and dispatch go beyond human capability. Thus,the need for developing and applying new intelligent power system dispatch tools are of great practical significance. In this paper, we introduce the overall business model of power system dispatch, the top level design approach of an intelligent dispatch system, and the parallel intelligent technology with its dispatch applications. We expect that a new dispatch paradigm,namely the parallel dispatch, can be established by incorporating various intelligent technologies, especially the parallel intelligent technology, to enable secure operation of complex power grids,extend system operators' capabilities, suggest optimal dispatch strategies, and to provide decision-making recommendations according to power system operational goals.

"Magneto-optical" effect refers to a rotation of polarization plane, which has been widely studied in traditional ferromagnetic metal and insulator films and scarcely in two-dimensional layered materials. Here we uncover a new nonreciprocal magneto-inelastic light scattering effect in ferromagnetic few-layer CrI3. We observed a rotation of the polarization plane of inelastic light scattering between -20o and +60o that are tunable by an out-of-plane magnetic field from -2.5 to 2.5 T. It is experimentally observed that the degree of polarization can be magnetically manipulated between -20% and 85%. This work raises a new magneto-optical phenomenon and could create opportunities of applying 2D ferromagnetic materials in Raman lasing, topological photonics, and magneto-optical modulator for information transport and storage. © 2020, CC BY-NC-SA.

This paper presents a new release of A Robust Exact Differentiator Toolbox for Matlab®/Simulink® proposed in [1]. This release features a new discrete-time realization of the continuous-time robust exact differentiator. The implemented discretization scheme is less sensitive to gain overestimation and does not suffer from the discretization chattering effect. Hence, the single tuning parameter of the new version of the implemented differentiator is more intuitive to tune. Furthermore, it shows superior estimation performance in the case of large sampling times in comparison to the previous release. This is confirmed by the presented results obtained by numerical simulations and a real world application. © 2018 IEEE.
