The development of technology accelerates the upgrade of products, which results in a significant number of obsolete products. This research aims to solve the multirobotic multiproduct U-shaped disassembly line balancing problem (M2UDP), in which different products are disassembled on a U-shaped model in a preset cycle time and assigned tasks to robots in each workstation reasonably. A linear mixed-integer model is established to maximize disassembly profit and minimize carbon emissions. An improved multiobjective multiverse optimizer (IMMO) that utilizes the sigmoid activation function in neural networks is proposed to find the optimal plan for the model. The improved algorithm is verified via a set of real-life instances and compared with three classical multiobjective optimization algorithms. The experimental results show that the proposed IMMO performs better than those peers in solving the M2UDP problems. © 2023 IEEE.

Fault diagnosis of rotating equipment plays a crucial role in ensuring operational reliability and minimizing downtime in industrial systems. This study proposes a novel approach that integrates personalized federated learning (PFL) with a Kolmogorov-Arnold network (KAN)-enhanced convolutional neural network (CNN) to improve diagnostic accuracy across heterogeneous operational environments. The framework is designed to address variations in equipment conditions and data distributions, providing personalized models tailored to specific clients. A comprehensive evaluation is conducted using benchmark datasets, demonstrating significant improvements in fault classification accuracy, model interpretability, and training efficiency under non-IID data settings using the KAN-enhanced CNN model. This study contributes to advancing predictive maintenance practices, paving the way for resilient and intelligent industrial systems. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, an improved Gannet optimization algorithm (DDPSA-GOA) is presented. The Gannet optimization algorithm (GOA) was formed by mathematically studying the various foraging behaviors of Gannet. GOA has had better results in the past. A framework DDPSA to improve GOA is cited in this paper. DDPSA aims to adjust population size and replace stagnant individuals with different strategies by determining the stage of the population. The framework divides the population into two stages, premature integration and evolutionary stagnation, which are two population states with stagnant individual replacement mechanisms. Optimal elimination replacement or elite replacement is adopted for different stages. The GOA algorithm in the DDPSA framework was tested against the initial GOA and other comparative algorithms in the CEC 2013 test set. In addition to its use in building and agriculture, global solar irradiance is one of the most critical aspects in designing and considering any solar station's volume. Because the Iraqi metrological organization and seismology lack exact information regarding irradiance, this project aims to use historical global data, develop numerical analysis using artificial neural networks, and forecast hourly irradiance. The test is run over Basra to determine references to their nearest places. The learning technique in this study is a forward neural network (FNN) and time series neural network. Their comparison depends on seven input variables: temperature, wind speed, wind direction, sunshine duration, and date. One of the most essential integrated and impactful events for managing the system of new and renewable energy sources in the power grid is accurate solar energy forecasting. The study offers a valuable method for forecasting solar energy generation using neural networks. It is difficult to apply neural networks to anticipate PV power generation because of the unpredictability of variations in the weather; unlike traditional mathematical models, which struggle to handle complicated nonlinear interactions and provide poor predictions, neural network approaches achieve superior prediction performance. The suggested forecasting model based on neural networks provides a practical means of raising the accuracy of PV generation estimation

The plant-model ratio, developed to diagnose model-plant mismatch present in model-based controllers, inherits the same limitations from the frequency-based analysis that the method is based on. Nonetheless, the plant-model ratio shows the capacity to counteract the effect of non-linear dynamics within processes due to the ability to diagnose parametric model-plant mismatches for first-order plus time delay models. The plant-model ratio is developed before being validated on the Wood-Berry distillation column. One of the prominent limitations of frequency analysis, the filtering effects of time constant differences, is investigated and quantified for the Wood-Berry distillation column, showing the effect of time constant differences on each parametric model-plant mismatch diagnosis.

In text mining and Natural Language Processing (NLP), extracting emotions from textual data is gaining rapid attraction. The proliferation of online content and the freedom of expression on social media platforms has compelled the advancement of more sophisticated methods for the automatic identification of unwanted content. The One-Dimensional Convolutional Neural Network (1D-CNN) performs best for feature extraction, while the Long Short-Term Memory Network (LSTM) is well-known for extracting sequential features and classification of textual data. This study proposes a novel solution by combining 1D-CNN with LSTM. Utilizing a context-aware model, this study aims to enhance the detection of immoral posts, including hate speech and other forms of immoral content on social media platforms. Various posts are extracted from social media, which are then processed using Glove word embedding models. It depicts the word representations in the text, which yields the form of a real-valued vector determining the words' meaning. The 1D convolution utilizes a filter window over the input time-series data to extract features. Relying on the acquired parameters of the filters, they act as feature extractors. This feature extraction technique allows the model to distinguish detailed patterns and nuances from the textual contents of posts. The sequential processing capabilities of the LSTM network enable an in-depth examination of the text, capturing temporal relationships and context, which is critical for successful content categorization. To validate the proposed model, we utilized a benchmark dataset, called the Twitter dataset. The proposed model achieved the highest accuracy of 95.37% and outperforms state-of-the-art works. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

This research involves the description of the newly developed acoustic communication system that can improve high data rates in the underwater channel. The problems in the conventional underwater communication techniques are being solved in the proposed system with the help of integrating the latest modulation techniques, effective transducers, and signal processing algorithms. The effectiveness of the system in achieving studies details high data rates and reasonable signal integrity and flexibility to unfavorable underwater environments during simulations and field trials. The simulated studies point to a maximum of 500kbps and practical trials a maximum of 480 kbps plus higher energy efficiency than regular systems. It still suggests that there is a need to continue with the improvements on all these areas of system performance since the system was design for varied depths and water types though there is an indication that the system performance declines in turbulent conditions. They are beneficial to develop and improve the underwater communication techniques meant to have a positive impact on technological applications such as underwater robotics, environmental and oceanographic surveys. Hence, the successful implementation of this system can be regarded as a major breakthrough towards the resolution of the problems that arise with high-speed data transmission in undersea environment. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a Secure Energy Management System (SEMS) with anomaly detection and Q-Learning decision modules for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). The anomaly detection module is a multi-task learning network to simultaneously classify suppliers and predict the real supply quantities. The Q-learning decision module can then determine operating reserve and subsidies to manage the energy grid. Experimental results illustrate that the proposed anomaly detection module has an excellent performance in classifying malicious suppliers, excels at shaping supply distribution, and outperforms the existing benchmark systems. © 2022 IEEE.

This manuscript studies the fuzzy H∞ control design problem for nonlinear time-varying delay systems in fuzzy form via adaptive event-triggered mechanism. The fuzzy model and an adaptive event-triggered controller are connected in closed-loop form. A looped-functional is established to conduct stability analysis, and the main feature of this functional can fully reflect the sampling feature of control systems. Thus, the achieved results are less conservative. The Wringter inequality is also used to further relax stability analysis. Finally, sufficient conditions are achieved for the existence of event-triggered fuzzy controller, and the resulting closed-loop system reaches an H∞ control performance. The rapid development of digital technology has brought about the challenge of ensuring information security. Cryptography and steganography are among the various techniques available to address this challenge. These techniques come in different forms and provide reliable means of securing information and communication. Despite the existence of numerous options, new variations are still emerging. This paper concentrates on Least Significant Bit (LSB) coding, which is one of the most widely recognized and frequently utilized steganography techniques. The advantages of LSB-based coding methods are high capacity and low complexity. However, predictability is an issue. Audio files' sizes and data redundancy make audio data perfect for steganography, as it is possible to embed large amounts of secret information and easily transmit the signal via various communication channels. However, the use of LSB coding in audio steganography has a drawback due to the extreme sensitivity of the human auditory system (HAS). This means that any noise added to the audio with data embedded in the LSBs can be detected by the HAS, which is dependent on the number of LSBs used. This work presents an improvement of the LSB-based approach, the XORing of LSBs method, with an emphasis on enhanced security. The method achieves this by randomly picking the pairs of bits to be XOR'd while preserving the characteristics of classic LSB methods. To verify the method, it has been implemented on the Cirrus Logic DSP, proving that it may be efficiently used in a real-Time audio environment without interfering with HAS sensitivity levels. © 2023 IEEE.
