Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is an advanced, non-invasive imaging technique. Automatic segmentation of vascular networks in retinal OCTA images is essential for the early diagnosis and progression assessment of various vision-related diseases. However, most existing methods for OCTA image vessel segmentation rely on encoder-decoder architectures, which typically involve a high number of parameters and result in slower inference speeds. In this paper, we introduce FRNet V2, an accurate and efficient neural network specifically designed for retinal vessel segmentation in OCTA images. This is achieved by integrating a modified recursive ConvNeXt V2 block and a recursive HAAM attention mechanism into a full-resolution convolutional network framework. We evaluate our proposed method on two large public datasets: ROSSA and OCTA-500. Experimental results demonstrate that our network achieves performance on par with other methods, while boasting significantly fewer parameters and faster inference speeds. This makes it highly suitable for practical industrial applications.

Currently, new energy industries such as electric vehicles and energy storage batteries are experiencing rapid growth throughout the world. As a recognized ideal energy storage element, lithium batteries have also attracted considerable interest. To improve image contrast, the industry employs image preprocessing algorithms. Due to the high requirement of image consistency in the template matching method, which is difficult to meet in practice, and the large apparent difference between defects, it is challenging to design features. Therefore, the framework for defect detection is based on a method of deep learning with strong feature expression capability. In light of the severe imbalance in the number of samples in defect detection, data augmentation and generation methods are used to simulate real samples in order to improve the training effect of deep neural networks and alleviate the burden of data annotation to some extent. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. Improving Software Defined Network controllers in a Multi-Vendor Environment

Software Defined Networking (SDN) is an emerging networking paradigm with the potential to foster innovation through programmable networks. SDNs are characterized by the separation of control and data planes where, in a logically centralized controller, it’s possible to make routing decisions on behalf of forwarding elements. For this, there are different protocols used like Open Flow, Forward and control Element Separation (FORCES), Path Computation Element Protocol (PCEP), Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF), and Interface to Routing System (IRS). Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is one such protocol that can enable the network programmability promised by SDNs. The controllers used in BGP as control plane protocol leverages RESTCONF (RFC 8040) as management plane protocol to interact with physical routers, switches, and network service firewalls. Therefore, the aim of this work is to improve the performance of SDN controllers using BGP enabling a multi-vendor environment without requiring infrastructure upgrade showcasing how interoperability can be achieved. The proposed system is implemented using OpenDaylight controllers. The performance of the prototype is evaluated using Latency, Throughput, CPU consumption, and TTL (Time to Live). Based on the simulation results it is observed that the SDN controllers that use BGP show improvements in terms of Latency and Throughput. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With the advancement of industrial automation and artificial intelligence technology, unmanned port autonomy has gained increasing attention. Port automatic driving technology is a critical component of unmanned autonomous systems, enabling rubber tire gantry cranes (RTGs) to autonomously navigate by detecting port lanes and implementing control commands. In this study, a deep learning-based method is proposed for detecting port lanes in complex port scenes. The method employs the Inception module and attention mechanism to enhance lane feature extraction, and a structural loss is introduced to explicitly constrain the detection results and incorporate the prior characteristics of port lanes. A novel Mixed Feature Attention Network (MFANet) is proposed to implement the method for port lane detection. Experimental results demonstrate that MFANet effectively improves the accuracy of port lane detection while maintaining high computational efficiency. Furthermore, the performance of MFANet is evaluated in a real-world application scenario.

Wind power is one of the sustainable ways to generate renewable *** recent years,some countries have set renewables to meet future energy needs,with the primary goal of reducing emissions and promoting sustainable growth,primarily the use of wind and solar *** achieve the prediction of wind power generation,several deep and machine learning models are constructed in this article as base *** regression models are Deep neural network(DNN),k-nearest neighbor(KNN)regressor,long short-term memory(LSTM),averaging model,random forest(RF)regressor,bagging regressor,and gradient boosting(GB)*** addition,data cleaning and data preprocessing were performed to the *** dataset used in this study includes 4 features and 50530 *** accurately predict the wind power values,we propose in this paper a new optimization technique based on stochastic fractal search and particle swarm optimization(SFSPSO)to optimize the parameters of LSTM *** evaluation criteria were utilized to estimate the efficiency of the regression models,namely,mean absolute error(MAE),Nash Sutcliffe Efficiency(NSE),mean square error(MSE),coefficient of determination(R2),root mean squared error(RMSE).The experimental results illustrated that the proposed optimization of LSTM using SFS-PSO model achieved the best results with R2 equals 99.99%in predicting the wind power values.

Color Prompting for Data-Free Continual Unsupervised Domain Adaptive Person Re-Identification

Unsupervised domain adaptive person re-identification (Re-ID) methods alleviate the burden of data annotation through generating pseudo supervision messages. However, real-world Re-ID systems, with continuously accumulating data streams, simultaneously demand more robust adaptation and anti-forgetting capabilities. Methods based on image rehearsal addresses the forgetting issue with limited extra storage but carry the risk of privacy leakage. In this work, we propose a Color Prompting (CoP) method for data-free continual unsupervised domain adaptive person Re-ID. Specifically, we employ a light-weighted prompter network to fit the color distribution of the current task together with Re-ID training. Then for the incoming new tasks, the learned color distribution serves as color style transfer guidance to transfer the images into past styles. CoP achieves accurate color style recovery for past tasks with adequate data diversity, leading to superior anti-forgetting effects compared with image rehearsal methods. Moreover, CoP demonstrates strong generalization performance for fast adaptation into new domains, given only a small amount of unlabeled images. Extensive experiments demonstrate that after the continual training pipeline the proposed CoP achieves 6.7% and 8.1% average rank-1 improvements over the replay method on seen and unseen domains, respectively. Selecting the most relevant subset of features from a dataset is a vital step in data mining and machine *** feature in a dataset has 2n possible subsets,making it challenging to select the optimum collection of features using typical *** a result,a new metaheuristicsbased feature selection method based on the dipper-throated and grey-wolf optimization(DTO-GW)algorithms has been developed in this *** can result when the selection of features is subject to metaheuristics,which can lead to a wide range of ***,we adopted hybrid optimization in our method of optimizing,which allowed us to better balance exploration and harvesting chores more *** propose utilizing the binary DTO-GW search approach we previously devised for selecting the optimal subset of *** the proposed method,the number of features selected is minimized,while classification accuracy is *** test the proposed method’s performance against eleven other state-of-theart approaches,eight datasets from the UCI repository were used,such as binary grey wolf search(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf,and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bMGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bMVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hysteresis optimization(bHy),and binary hysteresis optimization(bHWO).The suggested method is superior 4532 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 and successful in handling the problem of feature selection,according to the results of the experiments.

In this study, by examining the effects of the optimal carbon-nitrogen ratio and other factors on the composting effect, the optimal composting parameters of municipal sludge and kitchen waste were determined, and the carbon emissions were calculated at the same time, It had reference value for carbon neutralization and carbon peak. This paper introduces a testbed to study distributed sensing problems of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) exhibiting swarm intelligence. Several Smart City applications, such as transport and disaster response, require efficient collection of sensor data by a swarm of intelligent and cooperative UAVs. This often proves to be too complex and costly to study systematically and rigorously without compromising scale, realism and external validity. With the proposed testbed, this paper sets a stepping stone to emulate, within small laboratory spaces, large sensing areas of interest originated from empirical data and simulation models. Over this sensing map, a swarm of low-cost drones can fly allowing the study of a large spectrum of problems such as energy consumption, charging control, navigation and collision avoidance. The applicability of a decentralized multi-agent collective learning algorithm (EPOS) for UAV swarm intelligence along with the assessment of power consumption measurements provide a proof-of-concept and validate the accuracy of the proposed testbed.
