This paper investigates the time-triggered control for double channel transmission networked switched systems (NSSs) under denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. For NSSs, the information of the sensor and controller needs to be transmitted through the network, which increases the risk of packet loss due to network attacks. The resulting packet loss will greatly degrade the system performance. To address this problem, this paper proposes a double channel transmission scheme and a novel control strategy. Firstly, based on the traditional time-triggered control framework, the transmission link is extended to two channels. At each triggered instant, the sensor selects one of the channels to transmit and the attacker can only select one of the channels to attack. In this way, the packet loss rate caused by DoS attacks can be effectively reduced. Secondly, the control strategy is designed to combine hold-input and zero-input according to the actual packet loss situation. Under this control strategy, sufficient conditions for the asymptotically mean-square stability of the NSSs are obtained by dwell time switching, and the solution of controller gain is solved. Finally, the feasibility of this study is verified by aeroengine model. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The booming development of rare earth industry and the extensive utilization of its products accompanied by urban development have led to the accelerated accumulation of rare earth elements(REEs)as emerging pollutants in atmospheric *** this study,the variation of REEs in PM_(2.5)with urban(a non-mining city)transformation was investigated through five consecutive years of sample *** compositional variability and provenance contribution of REEs in PM_(2.5)were characterized,and the REEs exposure risks of children and adults via inhalation,ingestion and dermal absorption were also *** results showed an increase in the total REEs concentration from 46.46±35.16 mg/kg(2017)to 81.22±38.98 mg/kg(2021)over the five-year period,with Ce and La making the largest *** actual increment of industrial and traffic emission source among the three pollution sources was 1.34 ng/m^(3).Coal combustion source displayed a downward *** was the main exposure pathway for REEs in PM_(2.5)for both children and *** contributed the most to the total intake of REEs in PM_(2.5)among the population,followed by La and *** exposure risks of REEs in PM_(2.5)in the region were relatively low,but the trend of change was of great *** was strongly recommended to strengthen the concern about traffic-related non-exhaust emissions of particulate matter.

PIQP: A Proximal Interior-Point Quadratic Programming Solver

This paper presents PIQP, a high-performance toolkit for solving generic sparse quadratic programs (QP). Combining an infeasible Interior Point Method (IPM) with the Proximal Method of Multipliers (PMM), the algorithm can handle ill-conditioned convex QP problems without the need for linear independence of the constraints. The open-source implementation is written in C++ with interfaces to C, Python, Matlab, and R leveraging the Eigen3 library. The method uses a pivoting-free factorization routine and allocation-free updates of the problem data, making the solver suitable for embedded applications. The solver is evaluated on the Maros-Mészáros problem set and optimal control problems, demonstrating state-of-the-art performance for both small and large-scale problems, outperforming commercial and open-source solvers. Multi-agent path planning is one of the most challenging problems in the field of artificial intelligence. In this paper, an improved generative adversarial network model with hybrid attention mechanism for data-driven path planning is proposed. Firstly, by introducing spatial attention mechanism, positional attention mechanism and channel attention mechanism, a hybrid attention module is designed. This module not only establishes feature relationship between different locations, but also provides adaptive feature weights to highlight key information. Next, by embedding the hybrid attention module into the generative adversarial network, an improved generative adversarial network model is developed. The proposed model can capture effective feature information in the image and ensures that the generated path can evade obstacles accurately. Finally, some simulation results are provided to verify the superiority and accuracy of the model in path planning. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Remaining useful life (RUL) prediction can improve the availability and efficiency of equipment or system by providing timely maintenance suggestions. In this paper, an improved hybrid attention learning system for RUL prediction is developed. By introducing adaptive weighting, a hybrid attention mechanism with self attention and external attention is designed. The mechanism enhances the attention to samples with similar performance degradation patterns, and improves the feature extraction ability of the learning system for sensor data with strong temporal correlation. Finally, we conducted a series of simulation experiments on the commercial modular aviation propulsion system simulation (C-MAPSS) dataset to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method in RUL prediction. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

In this paper, a systematic motion planning algorithm for planar under-actuated hyper-redundant snake robots in viscous environments is presented. The proposed algorithm generates shape trajectories, i.e., continuous trajectories in the base (shape) space of the snake, that ensure the tracking of desired trajectories defined in the fiber (motion) space of the snake. The proposed motion planning algorithm is formulated as an optimization problem which minimizes the joint velocities. This cost function is also utilized to avoid singular configurations. Finally, the proposed algorithm is validated through simulations using a five-link snake robot. © 2022 American Automatic control Council.

We formulate a mathematical framework for designing a self-tuning network control architecture, and propose a computationally-feasible greedy algorithm for online architecture optimization. In this setting, the locations of active sensors and actuators in the network, as well as the feedback control policy are jointly adapted using all available information about the network states and dynamics to optimize a performance criterion. We show that the case with full-state feedback can be solved with dynamic programming, and in the linear-quadratic setting, the optimal cost functions and policies are piecewise quadratic and piecewise linear, respectively. Our framework is extended for joint sensor and actuator selection for dynamic output feedback control with both control performance and architecture costs. For large networks where exhaustive architecture search is prohibitive, we describe a greedy heuristic for actuator selection and propose a greedy swapping algorithm for joint sensor and actuator selection. Via numerical experiments, we demonstrate a dramatic performance improvement of greedy self-tuning architectures over fixed architectures. Our general formulation provides an extremely rich and challenging problem space with opportunities to apply a wide variety of approximation methods from stochastic control, system identification, reinforcement learning, and static architecture design for practical model-based control. © 2024, CC BY-NC-ND.

This paper addresses state estimation for discretetime semi-Markovian jump piecewise-affine (PWA) systems. To handle uncertainties caused by unknown disturbances, we propose an analysis method that considers all transfer paths between different regions within the same mode. We then examine the mean-square exponential stability and L∞ performance of the error dynamic system by constructing Lyapunov functions that depend on mode, region, and sojourn time. The related criteria are derived using ellipsoidal outer approximation. Based on these criteria, we design L∞ observers. Finally, we demonstrate the applicability of our method through a numerical example. © 2024 IEEE.

As smart cities continue to develop, they require scalable and efficient traffic monitoring systems. This paper presents a modular detection system that switches between monocular and multimodal modes, depending on the available sensors. The monocular mode, based on the MonoLSS algorithm, offers a cost-effective vehicle detection solution using a single camera, ideal for simpler or low-budget setups. In contrast, the multimodal mode integrates camera and LiDAR data via the MVX-Net model, enhancing 3D accuracy in complex traffic scenarios. This dual-mode flexibility allows smart cities to adapt the system to their infrastructure and budgetary needs, ensuring scalability as urban demands evolve. Inference results demonstrate the superior accuracy of the multimodal approach in challenging environments while validating the efficiency of the monocular mode for simpler settings. Therefore, the modular detection system offers a flexible solution that optimizes both cost and performance, effectively addressing the varied requirements of smart city traffic management.
