In recent years, fully digital substation systems complying with the IEC 61850 standard at the station bus and process bus levels have been applied worldwide. Discussion of the application and practical use as well as development of process bus-based systems have been progressing in Japan. Tokyo Electric Power Co. Power Grid has applied its first process bus-based system at the Chiba Inzai 275kV substation. The IEC 61850 standard is applied in Process Interface Units (PIUs) and process level communication is digitalized with Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs). We evaluated and took measures using a failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) method to ensure system reliability. We also considered environmental withstand in terms of impulse voltage which would affect PIUs installed closed to the switchgear. Satisfactory tests results were obtained through type test of each requirement. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2024.

Currently, devices for fast automatic bus transfer (FABT) are widely used. The reaction time of the FABT algorithms is on the order of 4-:-10 ms, which is why the behavior of starting, approving and blocking organs, for example, power direction relays (PDR) in transient modes, is very important for them. The paper investigates the behavior of the PDR when using signals from Rogowski coils (RC) and electromagnetic current transformers (CT), taking into account the possible saturation of the magnetic circuit, when modeling emergency modes. The PDR study was performed using the Simulink simulation environment of the Matlab software package. Hodographs of the PDR vector for internal and external circuits are constructed, which show the advantage of using signals received from the RC, including at saturation of CT. Based on the conducted research, the conclusion is made about the advantages of using RC for FABT. The successful operation of FABT devices with the use of RC on a real object has also been demonstrated. © 2024 IEEE.

Currently, devices for fast automatic bus transfer (FABT) are widely used. The reaction time of the FABT algorithm is about 4÷10 ms, as a result, the nature of the behavior of measuring elements, for example, the power direction relay (PDR) in transient state, is important for them. This work provides analytical comparison of the behavior of the amplitude and angle of the first harmonic of the output signals of current transformers (CT) with a closed core and Rogowski coils (RC) during short circuits (SC). Both primary converters in this study were assumed to be ideal (without current conversion errors). The amplitude and angle of the signals were determined using the standard discrete Fourier transform function in the MATLAB software package. A numerical estimate of the time of the transient process of the amplitude value of the first harmonic of the output signals of the primary converters was carried out for various SC parameters. It was found that in all simulated cases, the time of onset of the steady-state mode of the amplitude value of the first harmonic of the output signal of the RC is significantly less or does not differ from the similar parameter of the CT signal. In addition, the secondary signal of the RC does not have a long-term (lasting several periods of industrial frequency) oscillation, characteristic of the output signal of a CT. Based on the research carried out, a conclusion was made about the prospects of using the RC as a primary current converter for FABT devices. © 2024 IEEE.

Lake eutrophication in cold and arid regions is showing a deepening trend in recent years,posing a serious threat to the regional ecological *** occurrence characteristics,bioavailability,sorption-desorption characteristics,and release risk of sediment nitrogen in the Ulanor Wetland,located in the Hulun Lake basin of China,were investigated by combining field investigation,laboratory simu-lation experiments,and multiple technologies,including diffusive gradients in thin films and high-resolution dialysis *** total nitrogen(TN)in the water overlying the sediment bed(i.e.,overlying water)ranged from 1.44 to 2.65 mg/*** inorganic nitrogen was the main form of TN in overlying water,and ammonia nitrogen(NH4+-N)in the pore water at the sediment-water interface was higher than that in the overlying *** sediment TN content ranged from 695.37 to 2,344.77 mg/kg,with acid-dissolved nitrogen as the main component,and can cause the lowest level of ecotoxic effect The maximum and equilibrium adsorption amounts of sediment NH4+-N ranged from 0.269 to 1.017 mg/g and 0.0132-0.0382 mg/g,*** bioavailability and transport capacity of sediment nitrogen were relatively weak,but a release risk was still observed.

Fixed-Time prescribed performance fault-Tolerant control for quadrotor UAV based on ESO

Considering the need for high precision control in the flight process of quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a kind of fault-Tolerant control strategy based on fixed-Time prescribed performance control (FXTPPC) and extended state observer (ESO) is designed to solve the control problem of quadrotor UAV in the case of external disturbance, output error constraint and fault. Firstly, a simplified model of quadrotor UAV is established. Secondly, a double closed-loop fixed-Time continuous output feedback controller based on inner loop attitude control and outer loop position control is designed. The actuator fault, sensor fault and external disturbance are estimated and compensated by ESO in real time to effectively solve the quadrotor stability control problem. Further, a FXTPPC function is introduced to convert the original constrained nonlinear system into the equivalent unconstrained nonlinear system. Finally, the stability analysis shows that the designed controller can guarantee the stability of system. Simulation results also verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. The tracking error can converge rapidly to the range specified by the performance function within the fixed time. © 2023 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

With the increase in power system load, the number of switch cabinets increases rapidly, and the accidents caused by DC operating circuits become more and more obvious. Abnormal detection has become an important part of the DC operating circuit. Abnormal data, mainly voltage measurement, often contain important information. Finding and analyzing these abnormal data can give early warning for circuit failure or failure. However, abnormal data is often difficult to obtain and lacks marks, that is, the problem of sample imbalance and unsupervised problems, resulting in abnormal detection methods that can not meet the increasing accuracy and efficiency requirements. Generative adversarial network (GAN) is an unsupervised deep learning model, which has been successfully applied to unsupervised time series anomaly detection. However, GAN has technical difficulties in the anomaly detection process, and there is still room for optimization in accuracy. In this paper, the unsupervised time series anomaly detection method based on GAN is studied, and an anomaly detection method of a DC operating circuit combined with LSTM and GAN is designed. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In the article, the values of the formation permeability coefficient Kf are determined depending on the down hole pressure during well operation, the thickness of the formation and the viscosity of the oil, and a device that implements the results of this method is developed.A trial selection of the petroleum liquid is carried out, it is subjected to separation from the accompanying water and gas, and the intensity of the infrared radiation falling and passing through the layer of separated oil is measured. The optical density of oil is calculated and the coefficient of permeability at the initial moment of time K0 of the optical density D is determined based on the exponential dependence, the absolute permeability Kfi is determined by the value of the coefficient of dynamic viscosity μn of oil, which characterizes the optical density Dx, after which the hydraulic conductivity of the layer is calculated. The results of the obtained calculations show that the proposed method really reflects the process of filtration in the oil layer. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Black carbon(BC)is considered the second largest anthropogenic climate forcer,but the radiative effects of BC are highly correlated with its combustion ***-road vehicles are an important source of anthropogenic ***,there are major uncertainties in the estimates of the BC emissions from on-road light-duty passenger vehicles(LDPVs),and results obtained with the portable emissions measurement system(PEMS)method are particularly *** developed a PEMS platform and evaluated the on-road BC emissions from ten in-use *** demonstrated that the BC emission factors(EFs)of gasoline direction injection(GDI)engine vehicles range from 1.10 to 1.56 ***^(-1),which are higher than the EFs of port fuel injection(PFI)engine vehicles(0.10–0.17 ***^(-1))by a factor of *** BC emissions during the cold-start phase contributed 2%–33%to the total emissions.A strong correlation(R^(2)=0.70)was observed between the relative BC EFs and average vehicle speed,indicating that traffic congestion alleviation could effectively mitigate BC ***,BC and particle number(PN)emissions were linearly correlated(R^(2)=0.90),and compared to PFI engine vehicles,the instantaneous PN-to-BC emission rates of GDI engine vehicles were less sensitive to vehicle specific power-to-velocity(VSPV)increase in all speed ranges.
