Driven by the rapid development of wireless communication system, more and more vehicular services can be efficiently supported via vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications. In order to allocate radio resource with the reasonable implementation complexity in dense urban intersection, a two-stage allocation algorithm is proposed in this paper, whose main objective is to minimize delay and ensure reliability. In particular, as for the first stage, the allocation policy is based on traffic density information (TDI), which is different from utilizing channel state information (CSI) and queue state information (QSI) in the second stage. Moreover, in order to reflect the influence of TDI on delay, a macroscopic vehicular mobility model is employed in this paper. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can acquire an asymptotically optimal performance with the acceptable complexity.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a malignant tumor, and contains three major subtypes which are difficult to be distinguished at early stages of NSCLC. Many pathways work together to perform certain functions in cells. One might expect the high level of co-appearance or repression of pathways to distinguish different subtypes of NSCLC. However, it is difficult to detect coordinated regulations of pathways by existing methods. In our work, the coordinated regulations of pathways are detected using modified higher logic analysis of gene expression data. Specifically, we identify the genes whose regulation obeys a logic function by the modified higher logic analysis, which focuses on the relationships among the gene triplets that are not evident when genes are examined in a pairwise fashion. Then, the relationships among genes are mapped to pathways to predict the coordinated regulated relationships among pathways. By comparing coordinated regulations of pathways, we find that the regulation patterns of pathways which are associated with cell death are different in three subtypes of NSCLC. This method allows us to uncover co-appearance or repression of pathways in high level, and it has a potential to distinguish the subtypes for complex diseases.

In recent years, methods from network science are gaining rapidly interest in economics and finance. A reason for this is that in a globalized world the interconnectedness among economic and financial entities are crucial to understand and networks provide a natural framework for representing and studying such systems. In this paper, we are surveying the use of networks and network-based methods for studying economy related questions. We start with a brief overview of graph theory and basic definitions. Then we discuss descriptive network measures and network complexity measures for quantifying structural properties of economic networks. In this paper, we propose a sampling approach of reference points used for performance metrics of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms. Traditional reference point sampling methods, such as the Das and Dennis method, usually sample the reference points via a set of uniformly distributed weight vectors generated on an ideal hyper-plane in objective space, which however often ignore the geometric shape of a specific Pareto front. Therefore, we propose a novel reference point sampling approach by taking the specific shape of the Pareto optimal front to be tackled into account for measuring the performance of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms. The performance of the proposed reference point sampling method against the other two state-of-the-art sampling methods is tested on six test instances in various conditions, which clearly demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed sampling method.

This paper presents view synthesis optimization for 3D-HEVC based on a new texture smoothness process. In the original method, all pixels are exhaustively rendered to get distortions from synthesized views. Since not all pixels from the distorted depth map may cause distortions in the synthesized view, it brings unnecessary coding complexity. In this paper, lines of pixels are skipped based on the analysis of pixel regularity from smooth texture regions. It is due to the fact that the distorted disparity may not have much effect on the synthesized view in smooth texture regions. The proposed method can reduce the coding complexity of view synthesis optimization without significant performance loss. © 2015 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose an improved InSAR phase filter in frequency domain based on the Goldstein filter. Firstly, we use different window size determined by the coherence to suppress phase noise. Secondly, we use fringe frequencies compensation to eliminate the effect of the terrain topography. Thirdly, we excute the phase filtering procedure pixel by pixel with a new filtering parameter. Another obvious difference is that we use the Fourier transformation of a small window to deal with the power spectrum of InSAR phase patches. The effectiveness of the improved InSAR phase noise filtering method is investigated by both simulated and real data sets.

A new approach of highly squinted SAR sub-aperture data processing is proposed in this paper. Under the condition of the sub-aperture characteristics, this paper presents a frequency phase correction algorithm (FPCA) for focusing SAR sub-aperture data acquired at a high squint angle and wide azimuth swath width. By introducing a disturbing phase in the azimuth frequency domain, the FPCA eliminates the azimuth-dependent frequency modulation (FM) rate and improves the final image quality effectively. The whole procedure only involves fast Fourier transforms (FFTs) and complex multiplications, with interpolation free, simulated results and raw data processing validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

A new adaptive CFAR detection algorithm

Aim to solve the problem of lower detection probability and the false alarm probability exceeding the design value, a new method is proposed for the randomness interference number in CFAR (Constant False Alarm Rate) detection. This method estimates the background noise power levels based on the reference variance statistics. Therefore it can automatically adjust the detection threshold, varying with the background noise level change. The computer simulation results show that it needn't sort the samples like order statistics OS (k), and be subject to the specified K value restrictions. And the method can not only adaptively adjust the threshold according to the interference number, but also retain the optimal detection performance of the ML method in a homogeneous detection environment. It has good usability and is easy to implement. Copyright © 2015 Binary Information Press.

The performance analysis of high-speed railway (HSR) network has attracted broad attention in recent years. The characteristics of HSR scenario, compared with traditional public network scenario, mainly lies in the special traffic between trains and stations, i.e., train control traffic, video monitoring traffic and passenger traffic in general. Since the performance analysis of traffic in HSR, especially train control traffic and video monitoring traffic, can better guarantee the safety and improvement of railway, thus this paper researches and analyzes the performance bounds of HSR railway uplink traffic. The work is carried out based on a group of actual nscasiircnscnt data gathered Irons Cisinese Train control System (CTCS) and an advanced performance analysis tool stochastic network calculus (SNC). Finally, by means of the measurement data in the uplink direction, the stochastic backlog and delay hounds of train control traffic and video monitoring traffic under different violation probabilities and hit rates are derived and compared.
