In this paper, we carry out an experimental analysis to show how much perfectly the conceptual mining framework is working on mining process patterns and their enacted proportions from the business process enactment event histories logged with the IEEE-XES standardized format. In principle, the framework must be able to properly handle all the process patterns based upon the four types of control-flow primitives, such as linear (sequential), disjunctive (selective), conjunctive (parallel), and iterative (loop) patterns, together with the execution proportions. The paper focuses on not only verifying the conceptual feasibility of the procedural process mining framework through a series of experimental activities by using the implemented algorithmic mining framework and system, but also proving the functional correctness of the implemented process mining framework by applying to the real process instance enactment event histories of 10,000 workcases instantiated from the Large Bank Transaction process Model and visualizing the details of the analytical artifacts and results, as well.

Universal low bit-rate speech steganalysis is a cutting-edge research task addressing real-world application needs and has garnered significant attention recently. However, the existing methods are still inadequate in extracting available information from various steganographic domains and fail to deliver interpretable forensic results for specific steganographic domains containing embedded information. In view of this, we present a novel universal low bit-rate speech steganalysis approach that seamlessly combines domain-specific and domain-shared information, enabling comprehensive and effective speech steganography detection. This approach comprises two vital components: the Matching Identification Network (MIN) and the Content Alignment Network (CAN). The MIN incorporates three effective separable backbones for capturing informative domain-specific embeddings, inherently unveiling local and global dependencies. In this network, we also design a cross-domain matching module to establish correlations among steganographic domains, thereby enhancing detection performance through multi-domain collaboration and facilitating effective forensics for the embedded domains. Moreover, the CAN acquires more informative domain-shared embeddings by using a metric learning-based Siamese architecture to process pairs of naive and recompressed speech samples. Experimental results demonstrate that the presented method not only significantly surpasses the existing universal steganalysis methods, but also competes with or even surpasses dedicated steganalysis methods in certain cases. In addition, our method can provide accurate forensic results regarding the existence of hidden information within each steganographic domain without relevant supervisory information, marking a significant milestone in pursuit of speech steganalysis. Surgical guide plate is an important tool for the dental implant surgery. However, the design process heavily relies on the dentist to manually simulate the implant angle and depth. When deep neural networks have been applied to assist the dentist quickly locates the implant position, most of them are not able to determine the implant depth. Inspired by the video grounding task which localizes the starting and ending time of the target video segment, in this paper, we simplify the implant depth prediction as video grounding and develop a Texture Perceive Implant Depth Prediction Network (TPNet), which enables us to directly output the implant depth without complex measurements of oral bone. TPNet consists of an implant region detector (IRD) and an implant depth prediction network (IDPNet). IRD is an object detector designed to crop the candidate implant volume from the CBCT, which greatly saves the computation resource. IDPNet takes the cropped CBCT data to predict the implant depth. A Texture Perceive Loss (TPL) is devised to enable the encoder of IDPNet to perceive the texture variation among slices. Extensive experiments on a large dental implant dataset demonstrated that the proposed TPNet achieves superior performance than the existing methods. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. Commit messages are natural language descriptions of code changes, which are important for software evolution such as code understanding and maintenance. However, previous methods are trained on the entire dataset without considering the fact that a portion of commit messages adhere to good practice (i.e., good-practice commits), while the rest do not. On the basis of our empirical study, we discover that training on good-practice commits significantly contributes to the commit message generation. Motivated by this finding, we propose a novel knowledge-aware denoising learning method called KADEL. Considering that good-practice commits constitute only a small proportion of the dataset, we align the remaining training samples with these good-practice commits. To achieve this, we propose a model that learns the commit knowledge by training on good-practice commits. This knowledge model enables supplementing more information for training samples that do not conform to good practice. However, since the supplementary information may contain noise or prediction errors, we propose a dynamic denoising training method. This method composes a distribution-aware confidence function and a dynamic distribution list, which enhances the effectiveness of the training process. Experimental results on the whole MCMD dataset demonstrate that our method overall achieves state-of-the-art performance compared with previous methods. © 2024, CC BY.

New Natural Langauge process (NLP) benchmarks are urgently needed to align with the rapid development of large language models (LLMs). We present Xiezhi, the most comprehensive evaluation suite designed to assess holistic domain knowledge. Xiezhi comprises multiple-choice questions across 516 diverse disciplines ranging from 13 different subjects with 249,587 questions and accompanied by Xiezhi-Specialty with 14,041 questions and Xiezhi-Interdiscipline with 10,746 questions. We conduct evaluation of the 47 cutting-edge LLMs on Xiezhi. Results indicate that LLMs exceed average performance of humans in science, engineering, agronomy, medicine, and art, but fall short in economics, jurisprudence, pedagogy, literature, history, and management. © 2023, CC BY.

Background: The widespread use of electronic health records in the clinical and biomedical fields makes the removal of protected health information (PHI) essential to maintain privacy. However, a significant portion of information is recorded in unstructured textual forms, posing a challenge for deidentification. In multilingual countries, medical records could be written in a mixture of more than one language, referred to as code mixing. Most current clinical natural language processing techniques are designed for monolingual text, and there is a need to address the deidentification of code-mixed text. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness and underlying mechanism of fine-tuned pretrained language models (PLMs) in identifying PHI in the code-mixed context. Additionally, we aimed to evaluate the potential of prompting large language models (LLMs) for recognizing PHI in a zero-shot manner. Methods: We compiled the first clinical code-mixed deidentification data set consisting of text written in Chinese and English. We explored the effectiveness of fine-tuned PLMs for recognizing PHI in code-mixed content, with a focus on whether PLMs exploit naming regularity and mention coverage to achieve superior performance, by probing the developed models’ outputs to examine their decision-making process. Furthermore, we investigated the potential of prompt-based in-context learning of LLMs for recognizing PHI in code-mixed text. Results: The developed methods were evaluated on a code-mixed deidentification corpus of 1700 discharge summaries. We observed that different PHI types had preferences in their occurrences within the different types of language-mixed sentences, and PLMs could effectively recognize PHI by exploiting the learned name regularity. FABind: Fast and Accurate Protein-Ligand Binding

Modeling the interaction between proteins and ligands and accurately predicting their binding structures is a critical yet challenging task in drug discovery. Recent advancements in deep learning have shown promise in addressing this challenge, with sampling-based and regression-based methods emerging as two prominent approaches. However, these methods have notable limitations. Sampling-based methods often suffer from low efficiency due to the need for generating multiple candidate structures for selection. On the other hand, regression-based methods offer fast predictions but may experience decreased accuracy. Additionally, the variation in protein sizes often requires external modules for selecting suitable binding pockets, further impacting efficiency. In this work, we propose FABind, an end-to-end model that combines pocket prediction and docking to achieve accurate and fast protein-ligand binding. FABind incorporates a unique ligand-informed pocket prediction module, which is also leveraged for docking pose estimation. The model further enhances the docking process by incrementally integrating the predicted pocket to optimize protein-ligand binding, reducing discrepancies between training and inference. Through extensive experiments on benchmark datasets, our proposed FABind demonstrates strong advantages in terms of effectiveness and efficiency compared to existing methods.
