Strangeness S=-2 baryon-baryon interactions and femtoscopic correlation functions in covariant chiral effective field theory

We study the baryon-baryon interactions with strangeness S=-2 and corresponding momentum correlation functions in leading order covariant chiral effective field *** relevant low energy constants are determined by fitting to the latest HAL QCD simulations,taking into account all the coupled *** the so-obtained strong interactions to the physical point and considering both quantum statistical effects and the Coulomb interaction,we calculate the ΛΛ and Ξ^(-)p correlation functions with a spherical Gaussian source and compare them with recent experimental *** find a good agreement between our predictions and the experimental measurements by using the source radius determined in proton-proton correlations,which demonstrates the consistency between theory,experiment,and lattice QCD ***,we predict the Σ^(+)Σ^(+),Σ^(+)Λ,and Σ^(+)Σ^(-) interactions and corresponding momentum correlation *** further investigate the influence of the source shape and size of the hadron pair on the correlation functions studied and show that the current data are not very sensitive to the source *** experimental measurements of the predicted momentum correlation functions will provide a non-trivial test of not only SU(3) flavor symmetry and its breaking but also the baryon-baryon interactions derived in covariant chiral effective field theory.

Partial least squares(PLS) regression is an important linear regression method that efficiently addresses the multiple correlation problem by combining principal component analysis and multiple regression. In this paper, we present a quantum partial least squares(QPLS) regression algorithm. To solve the high time complexity of the PLS regression, we design a quantum eigenvector search method to speed up principal components and regression parameters construction. Meanwhile, we give a density matrix product method to avoid multiple access to quantum random access memory(QRAM)during building residual matrices. The time and space complexities of the QPLS regression are logarithmic in the independent variable dimension n, the dependent variable dimension w, and the number of variables m. This algorithm achieves exponential speed-ups over the PLS regression on n, m, and w. In addition, the QPLS regression inspires us to explore more potential quantum machine learning applications in future works.

Multiple classifier system exhibits strong classification capacity compared with single classifiers,but they require significant computational *** ensemble system aims to attain equivalent or better classification accuracy with fewer ***,current methods fail to identify precise solutions for constructing an ensemble *** this study,we propose an ensemble classifier design technique based on the perturbation binary salp swarm algorithm(ECDPB).Considering that extreme learning machines(ELMs)have rapid learning rates and good generalization ability,they can serve as the basic classifier for creating multiple candidates while using fewer computational ***,we introduce a combined diversity measure by taking the complementarity and accuracy of ELMs into account;it is used to identify the ELMs that have good diversity and low *** addition,we propose an ECDPB with powerful optimizing ability;it is employed to find the optimal subset of *** selected ELMs can then be used to forman ensemble *** on 10 benchmark datasets have been conducted,and the results demonstrate that the proposed ECDPB delivers superior classification capacity when compared with alternative methods.

Eu3+ co-doped broadband yellow-emitting BaZnSiO4: Bi3+ phosphors for multifunctional applications

Bi3+-activated phosphors have received increasing attention due to their abundant emission properties. In this paper, a series of BaZnSiO4: Bi3+ phosphors have been synthesized and structurally characterized, and the correlations between their structure and luminescence were also studied systematically. Under 306 nm excitation, the phosphors show broadband yellow emission centered at 559 nm with a full width at half-maximum (FWHM) of 123 nm, resulting from the 3P1/1P1 → 1S0 transition of Bi3+. Thermal stability spectroscopy of BaZnSiO4: Bi3+ phosphor was found to have the potential for application in optical temperature sensing with a Sr value of 2.2 % K−1. BaZnSiO4: Bi3+ phosphors were also used to explore flexible display and lighting. In addition, the color change function is realized by Eu3+ co-doping, which shows good potential application value in the field of anti-counterfeiting. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.

Automated API recommendation technology can help developers quickly find target APIs that meet their require-ments. Some retrieval-based API recommendation approaches, such as BIKER and CLEAR, adopt an indirect API recommen-dation strategy. Although these approaches have shown good performance, we observed two limitations in these approaches: (1) These approaches heavily relies on the coverage of the collected question titles proposed by developers;(2) These approaches ignore the API source code information. To overcome the two limitations, we propose an approach named AnsAPIRec (Answer- directed API Recommendation), which leverages a pre-trained model and joint-attention mechanism in this paper. In addition to the fully qualified name of the API, AnsAPIRec extracts the corresponding source code from the JDK as an additional feature. AnsAPIRec adopts a direct API recommendation strategy, which directly calculates the similarity between user queries and API features, i.e., API fully qualified name and API source code, to find the target API, alleviating the reliance on question titles. To further enhance AnsAPIRec's ability to understand the semantics of the inputs, we propose a joint-attention mechanism to learn the interdependent representations between the queries and API features. This deep semantic fusion mechanism enables AnsAPIRec to perform well in understanding user intent and API functionality. We reused the APIBench-Q dataset, containing 5885 queries for training and 653 queries for testing. The experimental result shows that AnsAPIRec achieved an MRR of 0.473, significantly outperforming the baseline approaches, BIKER and CLEAR. © 2024 IEEE.

Class-incremental learning poses a significant challenge under an exemplar-free constraint, leading to catastrophic forgetting and sub-par incremental accuracy. Previous attempts have focused primarily on single-modality tasks, such as image classification or audio event classification. However, in the context of Audio-Visual Class-Incremental Learning (AVCIL), the effective integration and utilization of heterogeneous modalities, with their complementary and enhancing characteristics, remains largely unexplored. To bridge this gap, we propose the Multi-Modal Analytic Learning (MMAL) framework, an exemplar-free solution for AVCIL that employs a closed-form, linear approach. To be specific, MMAL introduces a modality fusion module that re-formulates the AVCIL problem through a Recursive Least-Square (RLS) perspective. Complementing this, a Modality-Specific knowledge Compensation (MSKC) module is designed to further alleviate the under-fitting limitation intrinsic to analytic learning by harnessing individual knowledge from audio and visual modality in tandem. Comprehensive experimental comparisons with existing methods show that our proposed MMAL demonstrates superior performance with the accuracy of 76.71%, 78.98%, and 76.19% on AVE, Kinetics-Sounds, and VGGSounds100 datasets, respectively, setting new state-of-the-art AVCIL performance. Notably, compared to those memory-based methods, our MMAL, being an exemplar-free approach, provides good data privacy and can better leverage multi-modal information for improved incremental accuracy. © 2024 ACM.

This paper addresses distributed computation Sylvester equations of the form AX+XB=C with fractional order *** partitioning parameter matrices A,B and C,we transfer the problem of distributed solving Sylvester equations as two distributed optimization models and design two fractional order continuous-time algorithms,which have more design freedom and have potential to obtain better convergence performance than that of existing first order ***,rewriting distributed algorithms as corresponding frequency distributed models,we design Lyapunov functions and prove that proposed algorithms asymptotically converge to an exact or least squares ***,we validate the effectiveness of proposed algorithms by providing a numerical example.

Software systems often encounter various errors or exceptions in practice, and thus proper error handling code is essential to ensure the reliability of software systems. Unfortunately, error handling code is often bug-prone, while sufficiently testing them is challenging as such code often cannot be triggered under normal conditions. Motivated by this, recent studies have proposed to leverage software fault injection (SFI) based fuzzing to discover potential bugs in complicated error handling code. Despite the promising results achieved, their effectiveness and efficiency are still compromised in practice due to the huge search space of error sites, inadequate fuzzing guidance, and the overhead induced by context-sensitive SFI. To achieve effective and efficient testing of error handling code, this study presents AFL-FI, which first utilizes a similarity-based method to identify suspicious error sites, and then incorporates the idea of error site coverage to guide the fuzzing process. Finally, the design of lightweight context-sensitive SFI enables AFL-FI to execute test cases efficiently. We evaluate AFL-FI on eight large-scale open-source projects, and the results show that it can outperform existing state-of-the-art fuzzing tools significantly in terms of branch code coverage. More importantly, AFL-FI has discovered 13 previously unknown bugs, and all of them have been confirmed while 12 of them have been fixed. Besides, our evaluation also demonstrates that all the key designs of AFL-F I are effective that contribute significantly to its overall performance. © 2024 IEEE.

An optical microscope algorithm with precise focusing strategy and migration strategy with application in 3D path planning

The optical microscope algorithm (OMA) has garnered significant attention due to its clear mechanism and effectiveness in solving various optimization problems. However, the approach demonstrates vulnerabilities to premature convergence and local solution attraction, particularly in complex, high-dimensional problem spaces. Therefore, this paper proposes OMA with a precise focusing strategy and migration strategy (PMOMA). Firstly, a multi-fusion strategy will be proposed to enhance the initial population quality. Secondly, an introduction of the precise focusing strategy enhances the exploration ability of the algorithm and accelerates convergence speed. Finally, introducing a migration strategy prevents the algorithm from falling into local optima, resulting in improved solution accuracy. To evaluate PMOMA’s performance, we compare it with 9 other algorithms in CEC 2017 benchmark functions, Virtual Library of Simulation Experiments, and NLtoolbox. Additionally, PMOMA was implemented for solving engineering applications and 3D path planning to further validate its effectiveness. Overall, PMOMA demonstrated superiority in both numerical benchmarks and practical experiments.
