To address the problem of high delay due to the explosive growth of mobile data traffic in consumer electronics network (CEN), in this paper, we investigate the multiple-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-enabled CEN content caching problem, focusing on minimizing content access delay by jointly optimizing UAV deployment, ground user (GU) access, and content caching while satisfying other resource constraints. We propose an algorithm based on alternating optimization for the scenario where multiple UAVs and base station (BS) collaborate to provide caching services. The algorithm attains a sub-optimal solution with a convergence guarantee by iteratively solving the three sub-problems derived from the decomposition of the target problem. First, a convex difference-based algorithm solves the UAV deployment sub-problem. Second, a greedy-based algorithm is used to solve the content caching sub-problem. Then, a continuous convex approximation algorithm based on the penalty function is used to solve the user access sub-problem. Finally, the above procedure is repeated to obtain a sub-optimal solution to the target problem. The proposed joint optimization algorithm is shown to outperform the benchmark algorithms in terms of average content access delay and cache hit ratio, as evidenced by numerical results. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Over the past decade, the dominance of deep learning has prevailed across various domains of artificial intelligence, including natural language processing, computer vision, and biomedical signal processing. While there have been remarkable improvements in model accuracy, deploying these models on lightweight devices, such as mobile phones and microcontrollers, is constrained by limited resources. In this survey, we provide comprehensive design guidance tailored for these devices, detailing the meticulous design of lightweight models, compression methods, and hardware acceleration strategies. The principal goal of this work is to explore methods and concepts for getting around hardware constraints without compromising the model's accuracy. Additionally, we explore two notable paths for lightweight deep learning in the future: deployment techniques for TinyML and Large Language Models. The agent-based financial market simulators serve as an important validation tool for trading strategies. For high-fidelity simulation, it is pivotal to calibrate the parameters of a simulator so that the generated simulation data resembles the observed real market data of interest. In traditional calibration methods, it is typical that the parameters of the simulator are set to be time-invariant. However, the dynamic nature of the real financial market introduces various variability into the behaviors of the market participants over different time intervals, posing in-herent limitations to the traditional methods. A more reasonable approach might involve employing a simulator with time-variant parameters. This suggests that the model parameters can be dynamically adjusted at different stages of the simulation to adapt to the evolving market. Consequently, the calibration problem of the financial market simulators can be treated as a dynamic optimization problem. To dynamically calibrate the simulators, we introduce an Evolutionary Dynamic Optimization (EDO) framework. By monitoring the changes of the best fitness, the whole simulation time interval is adaptively divided into multiple stages. Then the Negatively Correlated Search (NCS) algorithm is employed to effectively adjust the parameters at different simulation stages to better simulate the real financial market. Empirical results on both synthetic and real data verify that our dynamic calibration framework significantly outperforms traditional calibration methods that fixing a parameter for the whole simulation interval. The proposed strategy of detecting dynamic changes is also shown to be more reliable than the naive method of manually segmenting stages. In terms of calibration time, our proposed method significantly improves by nearly 93% compared to the fixed parameter setting, and approximately 61% compared to manual segmentation calibration.

Document-level Relation Extraction with Relation Correlations

Document-level relation extraction faces two overlooked challenges: long-tail problem and multi-label problem. Previous work focuses mainly on obtaining better contextual representations for entity pairs, hardly address the above challenges. In this paper, we analyze the co-occurrence correlation of relations, and introduce it into DocRE task for the first time. We argue that the correlations can not only transfer knowledge between data-rich relations and data-scarce ones to assist in the training of tailed relations, but also reflect semantic distance guiding the classifier to identify semantically close relations for multi-label entity pairs. Specifically, we use relation embedding as a medium, and propose two co-occurrence prediction sub-tasks from both coarse- and fine-grained perspectives to capture relation correlations. Finally, the learned correlation-aware embeddings are used to guide the extraction of relational facts. Substantial experiments on two popular DocRE datasets are conducted, and our method achieves superior results compared to baselines. Chinese spirits is a distilled liquor with a long history, and its quality is largely determined by the quality of the distillation process. Therefore, all liquor enterprises regard distillation as the top priority of the whole brewing process. Traditionally, experienced brewers manually judge the quality of the distillation process, which has a huge and unstable workload, and will seriously affect the production efficiency and quality. This paper collects the image datasets of Chinese spirits in different distillation stages, and achieved 86.8% distillation bubble segmentation recognition rate through label datasets and semantic segmentation algorithm, so as to improve the intelligent level of distillation process discrimination, and make a useful exploration to improve the production efficiency and quality of Chinese spirits. This paper fills the gap of domestic related research. © 2022 IEEE.

Passive metal reflectors for communication enhancement have appealing advantages such as ultra low cost, zero energy expenditure, maintenance-free operation, long life span, and full compatibility with legacy wireless systems. To unleash the full potential of passive reflectors for wireless communications, this paper proposes a new passive reflector architecture, termed flexible reflector (FR), for enabling the flexible adjustment of beamforming direction via the FR placement and rotation optimization. We consider the multi-FR aided area coverage enhancement and aim to maximize the minimum expected receive power over all locations within the target coverage area, by jointly optimizing the placement positions and rotation angles of multiple FRs. To gain useful insights, the special case of movable reflector (MR) with fixed rotation is first studied to maximize the expected receive power at a target location, where the optimal single-MR placement positions for electrically large and small reflectors are derived in closed-form, respectively. It is shown that the reflector should be placed at the specular reflection point for electrically large reflector. While for area coverage enhancement, the optimal placement is obtained for the single-MR case and a sequential placement algorithm is proposed for the multi-MR case. Moreover, for the general case of FR, joint placement and rotation design is considered for the single-/multiFR aided coverage enhancement, respectively. Numerical results are presented which demonstrate significant performance gains of FRs over various benchmark schemes under different practical setups in terms of receive power enhancement. Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-assisted terahertz (THz) communication is emerging as a key technology to support ultra-high data rates in future sixth-generation networks. However, the acquisition of accurate channel state information (CSI) in such systems is challenging due to the passive nature of RIS and the hybrid beamforming architecture typically employed in THz systems. To address these challenges, we propose a novel low-complexity two-phase channel estimation scheme for RIS-assisted THz systems with beam split effect. In the proposed scheme, we first estimate the full CSI over a small subset of subcarriers, then extract angular information at both the base station and RIS. Subsequently, we recover the full CSI across remaining subcarriers by determining the corresponding spatial directions and angle-excluded coefficients. Theoretical analysis and simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves superior performance in terms of normalized mean-square error while significantly reducing computational complexity compared to existing algorithms. Context-Aware Interaction Network for RGB-T Semantic Segmentation

RGB-T semantic segmentation is a key technique for autonomous driving scenes understanding. For the existing RGB-T semantic segmentation methods, however, the effective exploration of the complementary relationship between different modalities is not implemented in the information interaction between multiple levels. To address such an issue, the Context-Aware Interaction Network (CAINet) is proposed for RGB-T semantic segmentation, which constructs interaction space to exploit auxiliary tasks and global context for explicitly guided learning. Specifically, we propose a Context-Aware Complementary Reasoning (CACR) module aimed at establishing the complementary relationship between multimodal features with the long-term context in both spatial and channel dimensions. Further, considering the importance of global contextual and detailed information, we propose the Global Context Modeling (GCM) module and Detail Aggregation (DA) module, and we introduce specific auxiliary supervision to explicitly guide the context interaction and refine the segmentation map. Extensive experiments on two benchmark datasets of MFNet and PST900 demonstrate that the proposed CAINet achieves state-of-the-art performance. The code is available at https://***/YingLv1106/CAINet. With the rise of automated network operations, network telemetry has become increasingly important. Optical networks play a key role in modern communication systems because of their high bandwidth, low latency, and low loss. To better manage and monitor Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) over optical networks, programmable data planes (PDP) are used to achieve flexible data collection. Meanwhile, to solve the scalability problem of the control plane in the software-defined network (SDN), segment routing over IPv6 (SRv6) is introduced. By programming the source node on the path, SRv6 wisely instructs packets to collect the appropriate telemetry data at the segment nodes to balance the trade-off between bandwidth usage and monitoring coverage. To efficiently achieve the observability of IPv6 over optical networks, we model the system and propose an SRv6-based in-band network telemetry (INT) algorithm. Simulation results verify the performance of our algorithm.
