Energy regulation mechanism and medium-filling effect of energy-focusing blast

The energy-focusing blast is an innovative and ingenious method to achieve directional *** its energy regulation mechanism is critical to enhancing its practical effectiveness. This study investigates the energy regulation mechanism and explores the medium-filling effects within the energy-focusing blast by employing theoretical analysis, numerical simulations, and model *** findings by theoretical and numerical analysis first reveal that two stages of the fracturing and tensile stage govern the directionally crack propagation, in which the explosion energy in the non-energyfocusing direction is suppressed, compressing the borehole wall, while redirected energy produces tensile stress in the energy-focusing direction, driving the formation of directional cracks. The choice of filling medium significantly affects directional cracking due to its impact on energy distribution and regulation,and key properties such as wave impedance and compressibility of the filling medium are *** comparisons using air, sand, and water as filling media further disclose the distinct effects of the medium on energy regulation and directional crack growth of the energy-focusing blast. The maximum shaped-energy coefficients for air, sand, and water are 1.30, 4.41, and 6.12 in the energy-focusing direction, respectively. Meanwhile, the stress attenuation rate of air, sand, and water increases in that order. The higher wave impedance and lower compressibility of water support efficient and uniform energy propagation, which subtly enhances the tensile actions in the focusing direction and intensifies the overall stress impact of the energy-focusing blast. Major depressive disorder (MDD) is one of the most common and severe mental illnesses, posing a huge burden on society and families. Recently, some multimodal methods have been proposed to learn a multimodal embedding for MDD detection and achieved promising performance. However, these methods ignore the heterogeneity/homogeneity among various modalities. Besides, earlier attempts ignore interclass separability and intraclass compactness. Inspired by the above observations, we propose a graph neural network (GNN)-based multimodal fusion strategy named modal-shared modal-specific GNN, which investigates the heterogeneity/homogeneity among various psychophysiological modalities as well as explores the potential relationship between subjects. Specifically, we develop a modal-shared and modal-specific GNN architecture to extract the inter/intramodal characteristics. Furthermore, a reconstruction network is employed to ensure fidelity within the individual modality. Moreover, we impose an attention mechanism on various embeddings to obtain a multimodal compact representation for the subsequent MDD detection task. We conduct extensive experiments on two public depression datasets and the favorable results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Environmental issues have become an important challenge for human development, the application of renewable energy will greatly alleviate this problem. The introduction of renewable energy into the existing power grid will has many impacts such as energy distribution, communications and security issues, it is bound to intelligently upgrade the existing power grid. By querying relevant literature, this study summarizes and reviews the current research on smart grids from the above perspectives. At the same time, from the perspective of two emerging technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence, the application of smart grid to two emerging technologies is summarized. Finally, the possible development directions of smart grid are discussed and summarized. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a 6-layer customized convolutional neural network model(6L-CNN)to rapidly screen out patients with COVID-19 infection in chest CT *** model can effectively detect whether the target CT image contains images of pneumonia *** this method,6L-CNN was trained as a binary classifier using the dataset containing CT images of the lung with and without pneumonia as a *** results show that the model improves the accuracy of screening out COVID-19 *** to othermethods,the performance is *** addition,the method can be extended to other similar clinical conditions.

Simultaneous Speech Extraction for Multiple Target Speakers Under Meeting Scenarios

The common target speech separation directly estimates the target source, ignoring the interrelationship between different speakers at each frame. We propose a multiple-target speech separation (MTSS) model to simultaneously extract each speaker’s voice from the mixed speech rather than just optimally estimating the target source. Moreover, we propose a speaker diarization (SD) aware MTSS system (SD-MTSS). By exploiting the target speaker voice activity detection (TSVAD) and the estimated mask, our SD-MTSS model can extract the speech signal of each speaker concurrently in a conversational recording without additional enrollment audio in advance. Experimental results show that our MTSS model achieves improvements of 1.38 dB signal-to-distortion ratio (SDR), 1.34 dB scale-invariant signal-to-distortion ratio (SISDR), and 0.13 perceptual evaluation of speech quality (PESQ) over the baseline on the WSJ0-2mix-extr dataset, separately. The SD-MTSS system makes a 19.2% relative speaker dependent character error rate reduction on the Alimeeting dataset. © Shanghai Jiao Tong University 2024.

A Novel Thermal Analysis Method for Tubular PM Linear Motors Based on Transfer Learning

Thermal modeling and analysis are critical for permanent magnet linear synchronous motors (PMLSMs), particularly in multiphysical analysis and motor design optimization. This article proposes a new method for thermal steady state modeling and analysis based on transfer learning (TL), which combines the thermal mechanism model with the data-driven model to achieve high-precision temperature analysis with small number of finite element analysis (FEA) samples. First, an equivalent thermal circuit (ETC) model is established for PMLSMs based on the structural parameters and heat transfer principles. Second, a hybrid model based on TL is developed: the model is pretrained by a large sample set generated from the ETC in the source field (mechanism analytical model), and then, the trained model is transferred to the target field (FEA data-driven model). The parameters of the neural network in the target field are optimized by a few FEA sample sets with higher precision to improve the prediction accuracy of the target model. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly boosts the performance of the deep neural network (DNN) model, particularly when training sets are small. The root mean square error (RMSE) of the DNN model decreases by 0.901 in the 5:5 (training/testing) dataset and 1.726 in the 2:8 dataset;and the corresponding R^data and maximal absolute error of motor performances are significantly decreased. The smaller the proportion of the training set, the better performance of the hybrid modeling will achieve. Furthermore, a temperature rise experiment conducted on a prototype motor validates the efficacy and precision of the proposed hybrid modeling methodology. © 2015 IEEE.

Vehicle trajectory prediction plays a crucial role in IoT-based intelligent transportation systems, which can effectively address key issues, such as driving safety and multivehicle collaboration. However, the sensitivity of trajectory data and the reluctance of data holders to share it constrain the prediction model’s ability to capture vehicle behavior patterns in different scenarios. To address the above problems, we propose a blockchain-enabled asynchronous federated proximal policy optimization framework (BE-AFPPO) for the trajectory prediction of self-driving vehicles. First, we propose a curiosity proximal policy optimization (C-PPO) algorithm. The method utilizes a driven exploration strategy to actively motivate the intelligent agent to explore the unknown state space. The avoidance policy model reaches a local optimum when processing trajectory data. In addition, we design historical gated recurrent unit (GRU) and future GRU as input layers. The target’s historical motion features and future trajectory features are extracted, respectively. Then, various data is received through asynchronous federated learning. This model can fully learn the vehicle’s behavior patterns in different scenarios, which improves prediction accuracy. Based on this, we develop a blockchain-based dynamic group practical Byzantine fault tolerance (DG-PBFT) consensus algorithm. This enhances the credibility and integrity of the data while enriching the sources of trajectory data. Finally, we perform the experiments on the publicly available dataset nuScenes. The results demonstrate that the proposed method improves the robustness and accuracy of trajectory prediction. © 2014 IEEE.

The rapid development of multi-modal large language models (MLLMs) has positioned visual storytelling as a crucial area in content creation. However, existing models often struggle to maintain temporal, spatial, and narrative coherence across image sequences and frequently lack the depth and engagement of human-authored stories. To address these challenges, we propose Story with Large Language and Vision Assistant (StoryLLaVA), a novel framework for enhancing visual storytelling. Our approach introduces a Topic-Driven Narrative Optimizer (TDNO) that improves both the training data and MLLM models by integrating image descriptions, topic generation, and GPT-4-based refinements. Furthermore, we employ a preference-based ranked story sampling method that aligns model outputs with human storytelling preferences through positive-negative pairing. These two phases of the framework differ in their training methods: the former uses supervised fine-tuning, while the latter incorporates reinforcement learning with positive and negative sample pairs. Experimental results demonstrate that StoryLLaVA outperforms current models in visual relevance, coherence, and fluency, with LLM-based evaluations confirming the generation of richer and more engaging narratives. Tax risk behavior causes serious loss of fiscal revenue,damages the country’s public infrastructure,and disturbs the market economic order of fair *** recent years,tax risk detection,driven by information technology such as data mining and artificial intelligence,has received extensive *** promote the high-quality development of tax risk detection methods,this paper provides the first comprehensive overview and summary of existing tax risk detection methods *** specifi-cally,it first discusses the causes and negative impacts of tax risk behaviors,along with the development of tax risk *** then focuses on data-mining-based tax risk detection methods utilized around the *** on the different principles employed by the algorithms,existing risk detection methods can be divided into two categories:relationship-based and non-relationship-based.A total of 14 risk detection methods are identified,and each method is thoroughly explored and ***,four major technical bottlenecks of current data-driven tax risk detection methods are analyzed and discussed,including the difficulty of integrating and using fiscal and tax fragmented knowledge,unexplainable risk detection results,the high cost of risk detection algorithms,and the reliance of existing algorithms on labeled *** investigating these issues,it is concluded that knowledge-guided and datadriven big data knowledge engineering will be the development trend in the field of tax risk in the future;that is,the gradual transition of tax risk detection from informatization to intelligence is the future development direction.
