Blockchain's immutability, while a core feature, can pose challenges in cases involving sensitive information or compliance with legal regulations, hindering its development. Many subsequent works designed editable blockchains based on the chameleon hash function proposed by H. Krawczyk et al. to solve the above problems. However, existing editable blockchain solutions lack security and are inefficient. To address the security and efficiency issues, we introduce the novel concept of Chameleon hashing based on Schnorr threshold signatures (CHSTS). The CHSTS scheme has double trapdoors, the publisher of the message owns the long-term trapdoor, and the editorial committee owns the ephemeral trapdoor. Message publishers can collaborate with the editorial committee to modify their published information, preventing the exposure of private data, facilitating oversight during the editing process, and enabling the tracking of malicious users. We have designed an updatable ephemeral trapdoor based on Schnorr signatures, effectively avoiding the inefficiencies associated with bilinear pairing. Experimental results show that our CHSTS scheme has a significant advantage in computational cost. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, semantic segmentation has been continuously developing, but there are still problems such as incomplete image understanding, incomplete contextual information extraction, imbalanced data samples, and uneven object distribution. A semantic segmentation algorithm based on an improved Dynamic Multi scale Network (DMNet) is proposed to address the current issues. An attention mechanism is added to the decoder to make the network pay more attention to the target to be detected;Using online difficult sample mining to improve the problem of sample imbalance in the dataset;Utilize the CrossEntropyLoss+Lovasz SoftmaxLoss joint loss function and the Adam with decoupled weight Decay (AdamW) optimizer to improve network training effectiveness and segmentation accuracy. The algorithm achieves 85.01% mIoU and 90.30% mAcc, effectively optimizing the model structure and improving segmentation accuracy, thus providing a certain technical foundation and application reference for semantic understanding of maritime channel scenes. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, oriented object detection technology has made significant progress. Most oriented object detectors represent oriented bounding boxes by adding additional angle information to the horizontal bounding box representation, which leads to serious angle periodicity issues. To address these issues, this paper proposes double midpoint vectors (DMvectors) to represent oriented objects. For any oriented bounding box, we align the center point with the origin in the Cartesian coordinate system, and evenly distribute the midpoints of the box edges across the four quadrants. We use the midpoint of the first and second quadrants, as well as the width and height of the box, to represent the oriented bounding box. DMvectors solve the periodic problem of angles by implicitly including angle information in vectors. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method, we conducted extensive experiments on two common remote sensing datasets (DOTA and HRSC2016), and our method achieved competitive results. © 2023 IEEE.

Water contamination is a major concern worldwide due to its impact on the global ecology. Accurate forecasting of water quality parameters is crucial for effective water contamination control. However, existing models face challenges in accurately predicting water quality series due to their nonlinearity and non-stationarity. Additionally, further investigation is needed to find out the performance of the Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory network (BiLSTM) when combined with optimization of signal processing and adjustment of hyperparameters. In this article, we introduce a novel hybrid approach named CEEMDAN-QPSO-BiLSTM, which combines three techniques-Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise (CEEMDAN), Quantum behaved Particle Swarm optimization (QPSO), and BiLSTM-for predicting water quality parameters. To evaluate the effectiveness of this hybrid model, we developed four benchmark models, namely LSTM, BiLSTM, PSO-BiLSTM, and QPSO-BiLSTM, and compared their predictive accuracy with that of our hybrid approach. The training and testing of these models utilized actual water quality data from the Chinese National Marine Environmental Monitoring Center's official system, specifically focusing on Dissolved Oxygen (DO), pH value, and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) parameters. The experimental results show that the CEEMDAN-QPSO-BiLSTM surpasses the baseline models, providing better error performance and prediction accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

Chart understanding enables automated data analysis for humans, which requires models to achieve highly accurate visual comprehension. While existing Visual Language Models (VLMs) have shown progress in chart understanding, the lack of high-quality training data and comprehensive evaluation benchmarks hinders VLM chart comprehension. In this paper, we introduce EvoChart, a novel self-training method for generating synthetic chart data to enhance VLMs’ capabilities in real-world chart comprehension. We also propose EvoChart-QA, a noval benchmark for measuring models’ chart comprehension abilities in real-world scenarios. Specifically, EvoChart is a unique self-training data synthesis approach that simultaneously produces high-quality training corpus and a high-performance chart understanding model. EvoChart-QA consists of 650 distinct real-world charts collected from 140 different websites and 1,250 expert-curated questions that focus on chart understanding. Experimental results on various open-source and proprietary VLMs tested on EvoChart-QA demonstrate that even the best proprietary model, GPT-4o, achieves only 49.8% accuracy. Moreover, the EvoChart method significantly boosts the performance of open-source VLMs on real-world chart understanding tasks, achieving 54.2% accuracy on EvoChart-QA. 3D medical image segmentation is an essential task in the medical image field, which aims to segment organs or tumours into different labels. A number of issues exist with the current 3D medical image segmentation task: existing models cannot simultaneously obtain the space correlation and depth correlation of 3D slices;previous models suffer from local detail loss of positional embedding in 3D images;previous approaches often have blurring of boundaries in segmenting 3D images. To solve these shortcomings, we propose a 3D medical image segmentation model named TPM-SAM. In our model, we design a twinchannel image encoder to simultaneously capture the space correlation and depth correlation of 3D slices through a multi-head attention mechanism and improved adapters. Furthermore, we design a prompt encoding generator, which divides the volumetric image into small blocks and better captures the local detail information. In addition, we introduce a multi-layer aggregation decoder by employing U-Net with multi-level skip connection to solve the blurring of boundaries in processing 3D images. Finally, we experimented and evaluated our model on KiTS21 and LiTS17 datasets to compare with other baseline models. © 2024 IEEE.

Test-time adaptation (TTA) is a task that continually adapts a pre-trained source model to the target domain during inference. One popular approach involves fine-tuning model with cross-entropy loss according to estimated pseudo-labels. However, its performance is significantly affected by noisy pseudo-labels. This study reveals that minimizing the classification error of each sample causes the cross-entropy loss's vulnerability to label noise. To address this issue, we propose a novel Decoupled Prototype Learning (DPL) method that features prototype-centric loss computation. First, we decouple the optimization of class prototypes. For each class prototype, we reduce its distance with positive samples and enlarge its distance with negative samples in a contrastive manner. This strategy prevents the model from overfitting to noisy pseudo-labels. Second, we propose a memory-based strategy to enhance DPL's robustness for the small batch sizes often encountered in TTA. We update each class's pseudo-feature from a memory in a momentum manner and insert an additional DPL loss. Finally, we introduce a consistency regularization-based approach to leverage samples with unconfident pseudo-labels. This approach transfers feature styles of samples with unconfident pseudo-labels to those with confident pseudo-labels. Thus, more reliable samples for TTA are created. The experimental results demonstrate that our methods achieve state-of-the-art performance on domain generalization benchmarks, and reliably improve the performance of self-training-based methods on image corruption benchmarks. When some application scenarios need to use semantic segmentation technology, like automatic driving, the primary concern comes to real-time performance rather than extremely high segmentation accuracy. To achieve a good trade-off between speed and accuracy, two-branch architecture has been proposed in recent years. It treats spatial information and semantics information separately which allows the module to be composed of two networks both not heavy. However, the process of fusing features with two different scales becomes a performance bottleneck for many nowaday two-branch models. In this research, we design a new fusion mechanism for two-branch architecture which is guided by attention computation. To be precise, we use the Dual-Guided Attention (DGA) module we proposed to replace some multi-scale transformations with the calculation of attention which means we only use several attention layers of near linear complexity to achieve performance comparable to frequently-used multi-layer fusion. To ensure that our module can be effective, we use Residual U-blocks (RSU) to build one of the two branches in our networks which aims to obtain better multi-scale features. Extensive experiments on Cityscapes and CamVid dataset show the effectiveness of our method. On Cityscapes, our light version network without pretrain weight can achieve 71.1% mIoU at 163 FPS on a single Nvidia RTX 3070 using full resolution images(1024×2048pix). And the large version can achieve 77.9% mIoU with a speed of 43 FPS which still reaches the real-time criterion. In recent years, person re-identification (Re-ID) as a widely studied computer vision task, has reached a saturation state under closed-world setting, which encourages researchers to further explore more realistic scenarios. Among them, person Re- Idin aerial imagery is proposed and improved due to its unique practical importance in public security. However, since the aerial person images are taken by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV s), influenced by camera height and angle of view, there are more serious problems such as weak appearance feature and occlusion than ground person images. Most of the current state-of-the-art person Re-ID methods on closed-world datasets are based on local convolution neural network, and hardly works well when applying them to aerial person Re- Idtasks directly. In this paper, we improve the emerging vision transformer (ViT) and apply it to the person Re- Idin aerial imagery. It should be noted that a large amount of data is required to be pretrained for ViTs to achieve competitive performance. Considering the limitations of data, computing power and flexibility in practical scenarios, we improve the pre-training process based on self-supervised learning, and achieve training ViTs from scratch with limited data. Specifically, in pre-training stage, the self-supervised paradigm based on parameter instance discrimination is applied to capture feature alignment and instance similarity, which alleviates the data-hungry of ViTs caused by the lack of inductive bias. Extensive comparative evaluation experiments are conducted on the aerial Re- Iddataset. Our method achieves a Rank-1 accuracy of 65.29% and a mean average precision (mAP) of 57.31%, which proves its effectiveness in aerial person Re-ID tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

Facial expression recognition is the ability to interpret human feelings from facial features. Teachers can use it to visualize the state of emotion and estimate students' learning effects to take corresponding intervention strategies to improve teaching. The current technology has shortcomings such as network performance degradation and feature information loss, which cannot meet the needs of sentiment analysis of student feedback. Therefore, RFMNet, a novel network model based on deep learning theory, is proposed in this paper. Featuring higher extraction ability, it is conducive to accurately analysing students' expressions. First of all, this model introduces a relation-aware global attention (RGA) module to better integrate the more discriminative expression features in the image and achieve more refined sentiment analysis. Second, the Mish activation function and the focal loss function are employed. The Mish activation function is introduced to avoid disappearing feature information due to neuron deactivation when the ReLU gradient is 0. The model achieves an average recognition accuracy of 89.62%, as confirmed through a sequence of trials conducted on the public dataset FERPlus. The model helps achieve intelligent processing of teaching information and obtaining real-time feedback by detecting, extracting, and analysing the students' facial expressions. © 2023 IEEE.
