Cellular systems are typically designed to provide high coverage in a certain region with low blocking probability (0.02 or lower) in order to provide an adequate Quality of Service (QoS). However, when traffic peaks occur, this blocking probability increases beyond this acceptable value and the system offers an unacceptable QoS. In order to avoid the installation of additional channels in the base station, that would be active all the time, even when the traffic load is low, the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) can reduce energy consumption and alleviate traffic from the base station temporarily. We believe that this alternative is aligned with Green Communication networks while efficiently solving the problem of higher traffic loads due to abnormal user concentrations. UAVs can also be used to assist WSNs by gathering information directly from the nodes, avoiding expensive transmissions to a fix far away sink. To this end, we develop a simulation model to calculate the hovering times of different commercial UAVs to evaluate the possibility of using these mobile base stations and sinks in future applications in wireless communications systems. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In recent years, group communication has become more and more popular. In the current data center network, multicast plays an extremely important role in group communication. Traditional data center network is designed based on wires. Researchers have proposed Dcell, Bcube and other data center topologies successively. However, in the traditional data center network, the wired topology structure has the disadvantages of high overhead, complex deployment, high maintenance cost, slow heat dissipation and so on. Moreover, the existing wireless data center Flyways structure and Graphite structure have the problems of low connectivity and poor scalability. So this paper proposes and designs a new data center network topology Comb structure (Comb model is a multi-layer cellular structure model, which is a multi-layer structure composed of single-layer honeycomb-like structure interlaced with each other). The structure can effectively improve the connectivity of the data center, shorten the routing path, reduce the probability of node failure in the network, and ensure the smooth network. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2020.

A data center is a cluster of servers, which is typically an organic collection of tens of thousands of servers. The sheer number of servers determines how well its performance is related to how it is interconnected. Just like the topology of Ethernet determines its network capacity and communication characteristics, the network structure of the data center has a great impact on its performance and capacity. The research object ExCCC-DCN in this paper has excellent node capacity, and its construction cost and operating energy consumption are relatively low, which is very suitable for deploying large-scale data centers. However, ExCCC-DCN is deployed on a wired link, and a large number of wired links can make maintenance and upgrade of the data center more difficult. Therefore, this paper utilizes the advantages of high transmission rate, strong anti-interference and high security of 60 GHz millimeter wave to wirelessly transform ExCCC-DCN, making it more flexible in the case of maintaining communication efficiency. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2020.

Smart contracts are programs that run on a blockchain, where Ethereum is one of the most popular ones supporting them. Due to the fact that they are immutable, it is essential to design smart contracts bug-free before they are deployed. However, various defects have been found in the deployed smart contracts, causing huge economic losses and lowing people's trust. Writing secure smart contracts is far from trivial, where developers tend to engage in reliable resources or social coding platforms to reuse code. This leads to a large number of similar contracts with potential security risks. Therefore, detecting similarity of smart contracts helps to avoid vulnerabilities, identify threats, and improve the security of Ethereum. In this paper, we design a learning-effective and cost-efficient model, called SmartSD, for Ethereum smart contract similarity detection. Different from the current research efforts, SmartSD is performed on a bytecode level and leverages deep neural networks to learn the latent representations from the opcode sequences for smart contract bytecodes, where the representation learning and similarity measurement are supervised via siamese neural networks. The experimental evaluations demonstrate that SmartSD outperforms EClone's 93.27% accuracy, achieving 98.37% high detection accuracy and 0.9850 F1-score, which is computationally tractable and effectively mitigates the interference caused by compilers. © 2022 Knowledge Systems Institute Graduate School. Multiphase flows are of great importance for the sustainable utilization of geological resources and ecological protection. Numerical simulation, as a general and powerful approach for multiphase flow modeling, faces great computational challenge for large scale and heterogeneous problems. This study explores the possibility of a hybrid modeling architecture for nonlinear multiphase flow, which integrates physical modeling and deep learning approaches. By breaking down the coupled system into pressure and saturation equations, we construct novel solvers using a physics-guided U-net and Fourier Neural Operator instead of the traditional time-consuming implicit pressure solver. The coupling of our carefully designed solver for pressure and explicit solver for saturation provides a new perspective for modeling large scale complex multiphase flows. Our results demonstrate that this hybrid modeling architecture exhibits superior predictive performance for pressure and saturation, with relative error about 0.2% and 0.6%, respectively. More importantly, our hybrid solver can improve computational efficiency by several orders of magnitude compared to traditional numerical simulation workflows. Our work showcases that the proposed hybrid modeling approach incorporating physical modeling and deep learning is promising to provide a more flexible and powerful alternative for multiphase flow modeling in geological formations. © 2023 84th EAGE Annual Conference and Exhibition. In advanced vehicular networks, Roadside Unit (RSU)-based amplify-and-forward (AF) relay and passive Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) are two potential helpers to enhance the vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications when the direct link experiences poor quality. This paper presents a comprehensive comparison of the two enhancement modes from the outage performance perspective. In the presence of both direct link and enhanced link, the analytical expressions of the outage probability (OP) for the V2V communication under the two enhancement modes are derived respectively. Moreover, considering the co-channel interference caused by relay/RIS, the OP of the neighbouring vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication is also derived. Additional analysis compares the diversity order and the strength of interference created by the V2V communication under the two enhancement modes. Further discussions are presented on the effect of the channel estimation error and phase quantization error under the RIS mode. Finally, the pros and cons of the two enhancement modes are demonstrated by both the analytical and numerical results. © 1972-2012 IEEE.

The rapidly increasing popularity of mobile devices has changed the methods with which people access various network services and increased net-work traffic *** the past few decades,network traffic identification has been a research hotspot in the field of network management and security ***,as more network services use encryption technology,network traffic identification faces many *** classic machine learning methods can solve many problems that cannot be solved by port-and payload-based methods,manually extract features that are frequently updated is time-consuming and *** learning has good automatic feature learning capabilities and is an ideal method for network traffic identification,particularly encrypted traffic identification;Existing recognition methods based on deep learning primarily use supervised learning methods and rely on many labeled ***,in real scenarios,labeled samples are often difficult to *** paper adjusts the structure of the auxiliary classification generation adversarial network(ACGAN)so that it can use unlabeled samples for training,and use the wasserstein distance instead of the original cross entropy as the loss function to achieve semisupervised *** results show that the identification accuracy of ISCX and USTC data sets using the proposed method yields markedly better performance when the number of labeled samples is small compared to that of convolutional neural network(CNN)based classifier.

With the proliferation of online video, measuring the quality of the video service has become a vital aspect for improving user’s experience. Recent work shows that measurable quality metrics such as buffering, bitrate, and video resolutions impact user’s experience, but none of them reveal the real relationships between these metrics and user’s actual experience. This paper attempts to solve the problem above. We use IQIYI as the sample, and our large-scale dataset consists of 7 days real Internet traffic in a northern city of China. We quantify user’s experience at per-video level (or view). Using Apache Spark, we extract some video events and calculate several quality metrics. In order to investigate the relationship between the metrics and user’s experience, we use the FP-Growth algorithm to mining the implicit association rules and get some interesting results. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2018.
