The nuclear power industry is currently a strategic sector in the national economy, along with nuclear energy being considered to be an essential source of national power supply and security. Under such circumstances, nuclear power plants (NPPs) have been constructed globally in recent decades, providing stable and large amounts of electricity to many countries and regions for quite a long time. However, due to the specialty of NPPs, safety management is always the top priority in their daily operations, like fault diagnosis and monitoring. At the same time, with the great development of artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning methods have been infiltrating lots of disciplines and resulting in more intelligent transformations in real industries. By the strength of better performance, machine learning and deep learning models have been introduced into research and practice of safety management in NPPs, not only producing more academic papers but also ensuring stable and safe operations of NPPs. Focusing on the safety management of NPPs, this article starts with the common trend of data analytics, also the evolving process of algorithms applied in academia and real practice, which is from model-driven methods to data-driven approaches. Then detailed applications of conventional machine learning, advanced deep learning and other related intelligent approaches used in the safety management of NPPs are comprehensively categorized and reviewed. Further, we make necessary summaries and discussions, proposing new ideas and perspectives to better promote the theoretical and practical development of safety management in NPPs.

Ontology is the kernel technique of semantic web, which can be used to describe the concepts and their relationships in a particular domain. However, different domain experts would construct the ontologies according to different requirements, and there exists a heterogeneity problem among the ontologies, which hinders the interaction between ontology-based intelligent systems. Ontology matching technique can determine the links between heterogeneous concepts, which is an effective method for solving this problem. Semantic similarity measure is a function to calculate to what extent two concepts are similar to each other, which is the key component of ontology matching technique. Generally, multiple semantic similarity measures are used together to improve the accuracy of the concept recognition. How to combine these semantic similarity measures, i.e., the ontology meta-matching problem, is a challenge in the ontology matching domain. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a new ontology meta-matching technique, which applies a novel combination framework to aggregate two broad categories of similarity measures. The experiment uses the famous benchmark provided by the Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative (OAEI). Comparing results with the participants of OAEI shows the effectiveness of the proposal. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

Authentication schemes are used to authenticate the identity of communication parties and widely applied to several environments. Recently, Wu et al. proposed an anonymous message authentication scheme in smart grid. This study suggests a solution to the routing optimization insufficiency based on the reverse elite sparrow search algorithm (RESSA) for energy balancing and network lifetime prolonging in wireless sensor networks (WSN). The node’s consumption and the remaining energy priority to balance consumption in the data forwarding to the cluster head are considered the optimal path evaluation function. The obtained results of the experimental the suggested scheme are compared with the other methods show that the proposed scheme increases data forwarding round numbers and consumes less energy, the remaining energy more, and higher efficiency of node energy consumption. © The Authors.

Recent progress in material data mining has been driven by high-capacity models trained on large ***,collecting experimental data(real data)has been extremely costly owing to the amount of human effort and expertise ***,we develop a novel transfer learning strategy to address problems of small or insufficient *** strategy realizes the fusion of real and simulated data and the augmentation of training data in a data mining *** a specific task of grain instance image segmentation,this strategy aims to generate synthetic data by fusing the images obtained from simulating the physical mechanism of grain formation and the“image style”information in real *** results show that the model trained with the acquired synthetic data and only 35%of the real data can already achieve competitive segmentation performance of a model trained on all of the real *** the time required to perform grain simulation and to generate synthetic data are almost negligible as compared to the effort for obtaining real data,our proposed strategy is able to exploit the strong prediction power of deep learning without significantly increasing the experimental burden of training data preparation.

Biomedical ontology matching dedicates to find two heterogeneous ontologies' alignment and address their heterogeneity problem. Typically, a biomedical ontology has various biomedical concepts that are described with various labels and datatype property names, which forms a lexical space where each label or datatype property represents one dimension. Therefore, it is an effective way to present two biomedical concepts in a vector space, and use the cosine distance to measure their similarity. In this work, we present two biomedical concepts in a lexical vector space which is constructed with their inner and context concepts' lexical information, and then utilize two vector's cosine distance to measure similarity value. Then, we propose a compact Evolutionary Algorithm (cEA) to find the concept correspondences. The experiment uses Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative (OAEI)'s testing cases, and the expeirmental results with Vector space Based Ontology Matcher (VBOM), Genetic Algorithm based Ontology Matcher (GAOM) and OAEI's participants show the effectiveness of our proposal. © 2020 - IOS Press and the authors. Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) emerges as maximization problem is formulated to facilitate RIS discrete an efficient and promising technology for the next wireless phase design and RIS placement optimization, which is subject generation networks and has attracted a lot of attention owing to coverage probability constraint. Simulation results validate to the capability of extending wireless coverage by reflecting that better coverage performance and higher travel distance signals toward targeted receivers. In this paper, we consider can be achieved with deployment of RIS. The impacts of some a RIS-assisted high-speed train (HST) communication system key system parameters including transmission power, signal-to-to enhance wireless coverage and improve coverage probability. noise ratio threshold, number of RIS elements, number of RIS First, coverage performance of the downlink single-input-single- quantization bits, horizontal distance between base station and output system is investigated, and the closed-form expression RIS, and speed of HST on system performance are investigated. of coverage probability is derived. In healthcare wireless sensor networks, there are a large number of sensors, which need to transmit a lot of information in real time. The aggregate signature scheme combines a great deal of signatures signed by different signers on different messages into one short signature, which greatly improves the efficiency of data transmission. In this paper, we present a scheme of certificate based aggregate signature, and prove its security in the random oracle model. The performance analysis shows that the scheme is efficient in sign and verify phase, and suitable for healthcare wireless sensor networks. © 2021, Taiwan Ubiquitous information. Internet of Things (IoT) has attracted extensive interest from both academia and industries, and is recognized as an ultimate infrastructure to connect everything at anytime and anywhere. The implementation of IoT generally faces the challenges from energy constraint and implementation cost. In this paper, we will introduce a new green communication paradigm, the ambient backscatter (AmBC), that could utilize the environmental wireless signals for both powering a tiny-cost device and backscattering the information symbols. Specifically, we will present the basic principles of AmBC, analyze its features and advantages, suggest its open problems, and predict its potential applications for our future IoT.

Background:Neuroblastoma(NB)is a heterogeneous disease with respect to genomic abnormalities and clinical *** recent advances in our understanding of the association between the genetic aberrations and clinical features,it remains one of the major challenges to predict prognosis and stratify patients for determining personalized therapy in this *** aim of this study was to develop an effective prognosis prediction model for NB ***:We integrated diverse computational analyses to define gene signatures that reflect MYCN activity and chromosomal aberrations including deletion of chromosome 1p(Chr1p_del)and chromosome 11q(Chr11q_del)as well as chromosome 11q whole loss(Chr11q_wls).We evaluated the prognostic and predictive values of these signatures in seven NB gene expression datasets(the number of samples ranges from 94 to 498,with a total of 2120)generated from both RNA sequencing and microarray ***:MYCN signature was a more effective prognostic marker than MYCN amplification status and MYCN ***,the Chr1p_del score was more prognostic than Chr1p *** activity scores of MYCN,Chr1p_del and Chr11q_del were associated with poor prognosis,while the Chr11q_wls score was linked to good *** integrated the activity scores of MYCN,Chr1p_del,Chr11q_del,and Chr11q_wls and clinical variables into an integrative prognostic model,which displayed significant performance over the clinical variables or each genomic aberration ***:Our integrative gene signature model shows a significantly improved forecast performance with prognostic and predictive information,and thereby can be served as a biomarker to stratify NB patients for prognosis evaluation and surveillance programs.
