Image acquisition conditions and environments can significantly affect high-level tasks in computer vision, and the performance of most computer vision algorithms will be limited when trained on distortion-free datasets. Even with updates in hardware such as sensors and deep learning methods, it will still not work in the face of variable conditions in real-world applications. In this paper, we apply the object detector YOLOv7 to detect distorted images from the dataset CDCOCO. Through carefully designed optimizations including data enhancement, detection box ensemble, denoiser ensemble, super-resolution models, and transfer learning, our model achieves excellent performance on the CDCOCO test set. Our denoising detection model can denoise and repair distorted images, making the model useful in a variety of real-world scenarios and environments. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. It remains a challenge to effectively control the emotion rendering in text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis. Prior studies have primarily focused on learning a global prosodic representation at the utterance level, which strongly correlates with linguistic prosody. Our goal is to construct a hierarchical emotion distribution (ED) that effectively encapsulates intensity variations of emotions at various levels of granularity, encompassing phonemes, words, and utterances. During TTS training, the hierarchical ED is extracted from the ground-truth audio and guides the predictor to establish a connection between emotional and linguistic prosody. At run-time inference, the TTS model generates emotional speech and, at the same time, provides quantitative control of emotion over the speech constituents. Both objective and subjective evaluations validate the effectiveness of the proposed framework in terms of emotion prediction and control. © 2024, CC BY.

Accurate and fast timing prediction at early design stages is crucial for achieving timing closure in very-large-scale integration (VLSI) design. Machine learning (ML) based approaches have been widely adopted for timing prediction to pursue both of accuracy and speed. Unfortunately, these approaches fail to fully exploit the layout features which can significantly impact the timing metrics, thus leading to great accuracy degradation. In this paper, we propose LE-Timing, an end-to-end explainable and layout-aware timing prediction approach that can achieve better accuracy by leveraging important layout information. The key insight is that crucial information about coupling capacitance between routing wires can significantly impact timing metrics, and fully exploiting this layout information in the timing prediction model can substantially improve its accuracy. However, efficiently leveraging layout features while maintaining accuracy and interpretability poses three key challenges: node-level layout-graph integration, interpretability and training efficiency. To address these, we further propose three key technologies specially designed for LE-Timing correspondingly, including a layout-encoding net model, an explainable cell model, and an explicit-message-passing scheme. Experimental results on 14 open-source designs with advanced 7-nm technology node demonstrate that LE-Timing achieves R2 score 0.92 for arrival time prediction and represents strong interpretability. © 2024 Copyright is held by the owner/author(s).

Blockchain platform Ethereum has involved millions of accounts due to its strong potential for providing numerous services based on smart *** massive accounts can be divided into diverse categories,such as miners,tokens,and exchanges,which is termed as account diversity in this *** benefit of investigating diversity are multi-fold,including understanding the Ethereum ecosystem deeper and opening the possibility of tracking certain abnormal ***,the exploration of blockchain account diversity remains *** the most relevant studies,which focus on the deanonymization of the accounts on Bitcoin,can hardly be applied on Ethereum since their underlying protocols and user idioms are *** this end,we present the first attempt to demystify the account diversity on *** key observation is that different accounts exhibit diverse behavior patterns,leading us to propose the heuristics for classification as the *** then raise the coverage rate of classification by the statistical learning model Maximum Likelihood Estimation(MLE).We collect real-world data through extensive efforts to evaluate our proposed method and show its ***,we make an in-depth analysis of the dynamic evolution of the Ethereum ecosystem and uncover the abnormal arbitrage *** for the former,we validate two sweeping statements reliably:(1)standalone miners are gradually replaced by the mining pools and cooperative miners;(2)transactions related to the mining pool and exchanges take up a large share of the total *** latter analysis shows that there are a large number of arbitrage transactions transferring the coins from one exchange to another to make a price difference.

From a Social Cognitive Perspective: Context-aware Visual Social Relationship Recognition

People's social relationships are often manifested through their surroundings, with certain objects or interactions acting as symbols for specific relationships, e.g., wedding rings, roses, hugs, or holding hands. This brings unique challenges to recognizing social relationships, requiring understanding and capturing the essence of these contexts from visual appearances. However, current methods of social relationship understanding rely on the basic classification paradigm of detected persons and objects, which fails to understand the comprehensive context and often overlooks decisive social factors, especially subtle visual cues. To highlight the social-aware context and intricate details, we propose a novel approach that recognizes Contextual Social Relationships (ConSoR) from a social cognitive perspective. Specifically, to incorporate social-aware semantics, we build a lightweight adapter upon the frozen CLIP to learn social concepts via our novel multi-modal side adapter tuning mechanism. Further, we construct social-aware descriptive language prompts (e.g., scene, activity, objects, emotions) with social relationships for each image, and then compel ConSoR to concentrate more intensively on the decisive visual social factors via visual-linguistic contrasting. Impressively, ConSoR outperforms previous methods with a 12.2% gain on the People-in-Social-Context (PISC) dataset and a 9.8% increase on the People-in-Photo-Album (PIPA) benchmark. Furthermore, we observe that ConSoR excels at finding critical visual evidence to reveal social relationships. © 2024, CC BY.

Deep learning has achieved great success in various areas and its success is closely linked to the availability of massive data. But in general, a large dataset could include sensitive data and therefore the model should have the capability to avoid privacy leakage. To achieve this aim, many works apply the famous privacy framework named differential privacy into deep learning to preserve privacy. In this article, we propose a novel perturbed iterative gradient descent optimization (PIGDO) algorithm and prove that this algorithm satisfies the differential privacy. Besides, we propose a modified moments accountant (MMA) method to conduct the privacy analysis and obtain a tighter bound of privacy loss compared with the original moments accountant method. A number of experiments demonstrate that our optimization algorithm can not only improve the model accuracy and training speed, but also achieve better privacy guarantees over the state-of-the-art algorithm while reaching the equivalent accuracy. FFCI: A Camera and IMU Sensors Based Multi-modal Neural Network for Activity Recognition in Smart Factory

Worker activity recognition is an important aspect of the construction of smart factory. The development of deep neural networks and the widespread distribution of sensors in the smart factory have brought opportunities for the recognition of workers' activities. The existing methods based on camera and IMU sensors respectively have problems of visual occlusion and difficulty in recognition of similar activities, which result in the reduction of recognition accuracy. Therefore, we propose a feature-level fusion based on camera and IMU sensor (FFCI) for activity recognition in smart factory. The FFCI employs an optimized multi-modal fusion strategy to integrate the visual information and the action information of workers' activities. In order to verify the effectiveness of FFCI, we define a simple yet fine-grained assembly task and collect six common operations. Furthermore, we add visual occlusion and similar activity data to get closer to the smart factory. Finally, we evaluate the FFCI on the collected dataset and achieve a recognition accuracy of 98.17%, demonstrating its effectiveness in accurately classifying workers' activities. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

This paper explores the parameter model of Vir-Tual Reality (short as VR) equipment evaluation, it focuses on the comfortable feeling of VR users. Because the keyword comfortable feeling has strong personal subjective imagination, therefore in this research, we draw on existing methods such as comfortable feeling evaluation model of vehicle or other riding equipment, also the existing and traditional VR evaluation method was referred. According to the current experience and past achievement, a new evaluation model by parameter was establish. In the model, three macro directions (Image, Sound, Tactile) and six influence parameters (Sound delay, Horizon, Picture delay, Weight, Pressure, Sound source deviation) were included. Based on these parameters and thus the calculation of algorithm's area, we can get a relatively objective and reasonable evaluation of the performance of VR devices. © 2022 IEEE.

Multi-hop reasoning has been widely studied for its important application values in the domain of intelligent search and question answering. Real-world applications are often dominated by natural language input, and it is difficult to directly model the relation semantics in natural language to fit the multi-hop reasoning model. In addition, the extremely large scale and complex structure of knowledge graphs increase the challenge. We propose a natural language and knowledge graph fusion model (NLKGF) for multi-hop reasoning. NLKGF embeds knowledge graph by fusing natural language semantics during the graph propagation process and adds a relation attention mechanism to enable entity representations to perceive the contribution of different relations. A relation path encoder is designed to encode the relation path by an improved recurrent neural network, the reasoning entity is obtained by calculating the correlation score with the natural language. We tested the performance of the NLKGF model on two datasets requiring multi-hop reasoning. The experimental results show that NLKGF beats advanced benchmark models in multi-hop reasoning tasks, which proves superiority of our model. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
