Cryptocurrency, a novel digital asset within the blockchain technology ecosystem, has recently garnered significant attention in the investment world. Despite its growing popularity, the inherent volatility and instability of cryptocurrency investments necessitate a thorough risk evaluation. This study utilizes the Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) model combined with the Generalized Autoregressive Conditionally Heteroscedastic (GARCH) model to analyze the volatility of three major cryptocurrencies-Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Binance Coin (BNB)-over a period from January 1, 2017, to October 29, 2022. The dataset comprises daily closing prices, offering a comprehensive view of the market's fluctuations. Our analysis revealed that the value-at-risk (VaR) curves for these cryptocurrencies demonstrate significant volatility, encompassing a broad spectrum of returns. The overall risk profile is relatively high, with ETH exhibiting the highest risk, followed by BTC and BNB. The ARMA-GARCH-VaR model has proven effective in quantifying and assessing the market risks associated with cryptocurrencies, providing valuable insights for investors and policymakers in navigating the complex landscape of digital assets. © 2020 IEEE.

This study investigates the impact of digital emotional intelligence (DEI) on the achievement needs of Generation Z in Jakarta, with a focus on the interplay between digital self-awareness and digital relationship management. Utilizing a sample of 280 individuals, the method involves structural equation modelling to explore how digital relationship management mediates the relationship between digital self-awareness and the need for achievement. The objective is to highlight the necessity of integrating DEI into educational frameworks to support lifelong learning and personal development, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4). Results reveal a significant positive correlation, suggesting that effective digital relationship management enhances achievement motivations by fostering better self-regulation and interpersonal interactions in digital environments. In conclusion, this research contributes to understanding DEI's role in educational and organizational settings, emphasizing its importance in the digital age. © 2024 IEEE.

Genotyping of structural variations considering copy number variations(CNVs)is an infancy and challenging ***,a prevalent form of critical genetic variations that cause abnormal copy numbers of large genomic regions in cells,often affect transcription and contribute to a variety of *** characteristics of CNVs often lead to the ambiguity and confusion of existing genotyping features and algorithms,which may cause heterozygous variations to be erroneously genotyped as homozygous variations and seriously affect the accuracy of downstream *** the allelic copy number increases,the error rate of genotyping increases *** instances with different copy numbers play an auxiliary role in the genotyping classification problem,but some will seriously interfere with the accuracy of the *** by these,we propose a transfer learning-based method to genotype structural variations accurately considering *** method first divides the instances with different allelic copy numbers and trains the basic machine learning framework with different genotype *** maximizes the weights of the instances that contribute to classification and minimizes the weights of the instances that hinder correct *** adjusting the weights of the instances with different allelic copy numbers,the contribution of all the instances to genotyping can be maximized,and the genotyping errors of heterozygote variations caused by CNVs can be *** applied the proposed method to both the simulated and real datasets,and compared it to some popular algorithms including GATK,Facets and *** experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the others in terms of accuracy,stability and *** source codes have been uploaded at github/TrinaZ/CNVtransfer for academic use only.

As the primary cause of death globally, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) demand precise and timely prediction to enhance patient outcomes. Other examples of conventional approaches for CVD prediction include statistical models as well as machine learning models such as a single model that often struggle to address complex and comprehensive data from clinical records and Medical Imaging. To address these issues, the concept proposed here is to integrate the medical imaging data with clinical data as new apart from utilizing the hybrid CNN-GRU model to predict cardiovascular diseases with higher accuracy and interpretability. While the GRU module deals with the time sequences of clinical data including past history and other test results, the CNN module is to extract the spatial features from the medical images. Thus, by integrating these modules, it is more accurate to predict the data of the patient as a synergy of spatial and temporal arrangements. Cross-validation techniques and performance indices are used for model training and testing on a diverse data set containing imaging and other clinical-related data. Experimental results depict that the suggested hybrid CNN-GRU model performs much better than the traditional approaches and has higher levels of predicted accuracy and robustness. It is also feasible to generalize this integrated strategy to other medical disorder where multi-modal data analysis is crucial, besides enhancing the capacity to estimate CVDs. The findings underline the importance of integrating doctors' information with radiological images and applying new patterns of neural networks to augmenting clinical judgment. The suggested work is implemented using python. © 2024 IEEE.

Detecting brain tumours is complex due to the natural variation in their location, shape, and intensity in images. While having accurate detection and segmentation of brain tumours would be beneficial, current methods still need to solve this problem despite the numerous available approaches. Precise analysis of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is crucial for detecting, segmenting, and classifying brain tumours in medical diagnostics. Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a vital component in medical diagnosis, and it requires precise, efficient, careful, efficient, and reliable image analysis techniques. The authors developed a Deep Learning (DL) fusion model to classify brain tumours reliably. Deep Learning models require large amounts of training data to achieve good results, so the researchers utilised data augmentation techniques to increase the dataset size for training models. VGG16, ResNet50, and convolutional deep belief networks networks extracted deep features from MRI images. Softmax was used as the classifier, and the training set was supplemented with intentionally created MRI images of brain tumours in addition to the genuine ones. The features of two DL models were combined in the proposed model to generate a fusion model, which significantly increased classification accuracy. An openly accessible dataset from the internet was used to test the model's performance, and the experimental results showed that the proposed fusion model achieved a classification accuracy of 98.98%. Finally, the results were compared with existing methods, and the proposed model outperformed them significantly.

Personalized recommendation is becoming increasingly important in online information systems in the current era of information explosion. In real-world scenarios, when a user considers which items to consume, the decision choice may be affected by her friends. For example, she may ask her friends for suggestions or be attracted by products purchased by one friend. As such, to provide satisfactory recommendation service, it is important to account for the evidence in social relations when they are available to use. Several prior efforts have been made to leverage social relations to build the recommender system and verified their utility. However, most existing methods, such as the well-known TrustSVD, leverage only first-order social relations, i.e., the direct neighbors that are connected to the target user. The high-order social relations, e.g., the friends of friends, which are very informative to reveal user preference, have been largely ignored. © 2023 IEEE.

Temporal Knowledge Graph (TKG) reasoning, aiming to predict future unknown facts based on historical information, has attracted considerable attention due to its great practical value. Insight into history is the key to predict the future. However, most existing TKG reasoning models singly capture repetitive history, ignoring the entity's multi-hop neighbour history which can provide valuable background knowledge for TKG reasoning. In this paper, we propose Multi-Granularity History and Entity Similarity Learning (MGESL) model for Temporal Knowledge Graph Reasoning, which models historical information from both coarse-grained and fine-grained history. Since similar entities tend to exhibit similar behavioural patterns, we also design a hypergraph convolution aggregator to capture the similarity between entities. Furthermore, we introduce a more realistic setting for the TKG reasoning, where candidate entities are already known at the timestamp to be predicted. Extensive experiments on three benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed model. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Graph Laplacian is a fundamental tool in various fields such as spectral clustering, network analysis, image processing, and, deep learning recently for studying message passing in graph neural network models. To support the theoretical use of the graph Laplacian in these fields, in this work, we study the continuity of the Moore-Penrose generalized inverse of the graph Laplacian. We provide a graph-theoretical proof of this continuity in terms of the connectivity of the underlying graph associated with a given graph Laplacian matrix. © 2024 IEEE.

This article presents an in-depth exploration of the acoustofluidic capabilities of guided flexural waves(GFWs)generated by a membrane acoustic waveguide actuator(MAWA).By harnessing the potential of GFWs,cavity-agnostic advanced particle manipulation functions are achieved,unlocking new avenues for microfluidic systems and lab-on-a-chip *** localized acoustofluidic effects of GFWs arising from the evanescent nature of the acoustic fields they induce inside a liquid medium are numerically investigated to highlight their unique and promising *** traditional acoustofluidic technologies,the GFWs propagating on the MAWA’s membrane waveguide allow for cavity-agnostic particle manipulation,irrespective of the resonant properties of the fluidic ***,the acoustofluidic functions enabled by the device depend on the flexural mode populating the active region of the membrane *** demonstrations using two types of particles include in-sessile-droplet particle transport,mixing,and spatial separation based on particle diameter,along with streaming-induced counter-flow virtual channel generation in microfluidic PDMS *** experiments emphasize the versatility and potential applications of the MAWA as a microfluidic platform targeted at lab-on-a-chip development and showcase the MAWA’s compatibility with existing microfluidic systems.

This study explores the efficacy of Instagram's augmented reality (AR) features in enhancing brand awareness and electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM) within Indonesia's bottled tea industry. The research uses a cross-sectional survey and partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to focus on how AR can transform consumer engagement and interaction on social media platforms. Findings from a sample of 260 bottled tea consumers in Greater Jakarta indicate that AR significantly enhances brand awareness, substantially influencing e-WOM. The integration of AR into Instagram marketing not only captivates and engages users but also fosters stronger consumer-brand relationships and promotes brand loyalty through interactive and immersive digital experiences. The study's implications underscore AR's role in revolutionising marketing strategies by providing immersive experiences that are shown to increase brand visibility and influence purchasing decisions. Limitations and future research directions are discussed, highlighting the potential for broader applications of AR in different market segments and its impact on various consumer demographics. © 2024 IEEE.
