The infection of Plasmodium vivax is relatively less virulent than the deathliest Plasmodium falciparum. However, it still can lead to a fatal case and often induces recurring malaria due to dormant parasites in the liver. Thus, the research to study the drug to treat Plasmodium vivax is essential, where the enzyme dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) has recently become a new drug target. However, the drug-enzyme interaction study has only recently been conducted in Plasmodium falciparum (pfDHODH) due to the lack of the 3D structure of enzyme DHODH from Plasmodium vivax that is crucial for the study. Therefore, this study aimed to perform the modelling study of Plasmodium vivax DHODH (PvDHODH) to create a 3D structure as a basis for drug-protein interaction study in upcoming studies. Sequence pvDHODH (Accession: SCO68359.1) was used in homology modelling using Modeller 10.2 with the crystal structure of DHODH from DHODH (Accession: 7KZY) as a template. Overall, the model generated from the homology modelling was considered a good model, and the 3D structure was close to the native state according to several parameters, including DOPE score, GA341 score, QMEAN4 value, 3D-1D score, ERRAT2 score, and ProSA score. Ramachandran plot also revealed that almost all amino acids were distributed in the desirable and allowed area (99.1%), and only 0.9% were in generously allowed regions. Superimposition of the model with the template also indicated that the model has an almost similar structure and amino acids positioning, including in the binding pocket and active site. Therefore, the model can be used for downstream analysis in drug-protein interaction studies. Nevertheless, some improvements can still be performed to upgrade the quality of the model by deleting unaligned residues on the C-terminal and realigning the residues at the doubting site. © 2023 IEEE.

The point of Agile Methodology is continuous improvement, delivering a small feature quickly without sacrificing the feature quality;every sprint must be better than the previous sprint, and better can be fewer bugs, faster development, and testing. We will present how we reduce production bugs by customizing our sprint iteration. As we know, bugs are unavoidable, there is no software engineer that can make software without a bug;however, we can reduce bugs in production if we can find bugs in lower environments as early as possible. The case study in this paper was taken from one of technology company in Indonesia, the activity was done by the Quality Engineer (QA) Team. We will show that shift-left testing can help us reduce bugs in production. Testing is part of agile methodology, and the main idea of shift-left testing is to move testing early and could be done by any team member, not only QA. We include shift-left testing in our agile methodology for one year in 2022 and compare the result in the previous year. © 2023 IEEE.

The primary aim of identifying the binding motifs in gene regulation is to understand the transcriptional regulation molecular mechanism systematically. In this study, the (, d) motif search issue was considered which entails finding the length motifs which differ by at most d substitutions. However, identifying the high-quality pattern (, d) is challenging. It is intended to address the above problem with motif discovery and handle it using the proposed algorithm S2F (Segmentation to Filtration) based on the qPMS (quorum Planted Motif Search) algorithm model. From the entire DNA sequences, five percent are chosen at random to be used in the motif discovery process. This random sub segment (subseg) portion is split up into base, sub k-mers, and its sizes (motif length ()) are determined by the iterative approach. Corresponding to the sizes of and d (mutations), the k-mers are chosen which participated in filtration techniques and the base k-mer count and frequency are updated. The highest frequency of k-mer is recognized as the motif. The algorithm’s performance was evaluated using the two real datasets Escherichia coli cyclic AMP receptor protein (CRP) and mouse Embryonic Stem Cell (mESC) ChIP-seq (Chromatin Immuno Precipitation) dataset. Results from the experiments show that S2F can identify the motifs and appear faster compared to previous state-of-the-art PMS (Planted Motif Search) and qPMS algorithms. In today's world the internet has ingrained itself deeply into our lives, and web searching has become essential for people of all ages, locations, and occupations. However, due to the rise in internet usage, there has been a rise in spoofing attacks through malicious websites. Online purchases, reservations, recharges, and various other transactions are now commonly conducted online. Internet users are increasing;it has become crucial to develop automatic URL detection systems to protect users. This proposed research aims to compare different categorization models like Decision Tree, Random Forest and Logistic Regression to determine which one achieves finest accuracy in distinguishing among genuine websites and False websites. Objective is to identify attacking sites effectively and determine the artificial intelligence algorithm that provides the best accuracy for this use. © 2024 IEEE.

The concept of object-oriented (OO) serves is a fundamental approach in the development of models. The stages associated with this method contribute significantly to ensuring that the resulting model is both lucid and transparent. The primary objective of the study is to create a decision model for evaluating student performance. Floating fuzzy logic (FFL) is employed as a technique to handle fluctuating data within the model. Moreover, OO conception plays a central role in analyzing, designing, and constructing the model through the utilization of four distinct types of Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams: object, activity, state-machine, and sequence diagrams. The model itself is crafted using the Python programming language and executed in the Google Colab platform. Additionally, this model has the capability to simulate changes in students' performance on a semester-by -semester basis, exhibiting a variance of 15 % when compared to the conventional fuzzy logic model. © 2023 IEEE.

Detecting fake news in the digital era is challenging due to the proliferation of misinformation. One of the crucial is-sues in this domain is the inherent class imbalance, where genuine news articles significantly outnumber fake ones. This imbalance severely hampers the performance of machine and deep learning models in accurately identifying fake news. Consequently, there is a compelling need to address this problem effectively. In this study, we delve into fake news detection and tackle the critical issue of imbalanced data. We investigate the application of Easy data Augmentation (EDA) techniques, including back-translation, random insertion, random deletion, and random swap to mitigate the adverse effects of imbalanced data. This study focuses on employing these techniques in conjunction with a deep learning framework, specifically a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) architecture. The results of the EDA techniques will be systematically compared to see their effectiveness and their impacts on model performance. This study reveals that various EDA techniques, when coupled with a BiLSTM architecture, yield significant improvements in fake news detection. Among the experiments, it shows that Random Insertion, with an impressive accuracy rate of 81.68%, a precision score of 89.38%, and an F1-Score of 87.77% emerges as the most promising technique. The study also highlights the exceptional potential of Back-translation stands out with an 87.16% recall performance. © 2023 IEEE.

Many companies are redefining their business strategies to improve the business output. Business over internet provides the opportunity to customers and partners where their products and specific business can be found. Web usage mining is the type of web mining activity that involves the automatic discovery of user access patterns from web servers. A real-world challenging task of the web master of an organization is to match the needs of user and keep their attention in their web site. So, web pages can capture the intuition of the user and provide them with the recommendation list. Personalize e-commerce website is done after knowing the habits and behavior patterns of customers e-commerce website using web usage mining with association rules mining apriori algorithms. The method used is a method of analysis and design. In the method of analysis, research variables are determined, and data of sales are collected. In addition, the method of analysis is also performed to measure the accuracy of the apriori algorithm. Designing apriori, program design, and the design of the screen is done in the design method. Results are achieved in the form of an e-commerce website that is personalized using association rules mining apriori algorithm that can recommend the goods in accordance with the preferences and needs of the user. The conclusion of this study is to obtain patterns of association, it takes the data transactions made by customers and the recommendations given by the apriori algorithm would be more accurate if the transaction data is processed more, the categories of goods are fewer, the limit minimum value of support and the limit minimum value of confidence are high. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

An integrated approach is necessary for implementing a model that involves multiple actors. One effective way to achieve this is through a service-oriented approach. The objective of the study was to develop a service-oriented fuzzy model, which combines the functional-structural plant modelling (FSPM) method for the plant computational model (PCM) and the fuzzy logic method for both PCM and the decision support model (DSM). This combined method aims to model the plant behaviour morphologically and propose investment decisions in agriculture, specifically for the hydroponic cultivation of Bok Choy, a green-leaf vegetable. The accuracy of the interconnected model application based on the service concept, known as the service-oriented fuzzy smart model (SOFSM), reached 94.33%. © 2023 IEEE.

Graph-based methods, pivotal for label inference over interconnected objects in many real-world applications, often encounter generalization challenges, if the graph used for model training differs significantly from the graph used for testing. This work delves into Graph Domain Adaptation (GDA) to address the unique complexities of distribution shifts over graph data, where interconnected data points experience shifts in features, labels, and in particular, connecting patterns. We propose a novel, theoretically principled method, Pairwise Alignment (Pair-Align) to counter graph structure shift by mitigating conditional structure shift (CSS) and label shift (LS). Pair-Align uses edge weights to recalibrate the influence among neighboring nodes to handle CSS and adjusts the classification loss with label weights to handle LS. Our method demonstrates superior performance in real-world applications, including node classification with region shift in social networks, and the pileup mitigation task in particle colliding experiments. For the first application, we also curate the largest dataset by far for GDA studies. Our method shows strong performance in synthetic and other existing benchmark datasets. In an effort to bolster the healthcare system in Thailand, particularly in remote areas with limited access to pharmacists, this study proposes a novel drug recommendation system based on drug details. This system aims to address the challenge of medication selection in resource-constrained settings by providing physicians with informed recommendations tailored to patient *** proposed system utilizes drug data sourced from ***, encompassing approximately 34,284 drug entries. To ensure high-quality recommendations, the data undergoes a rigorous preprocessing phase involving null value imputation and feature extraction using techniques like TF-IDF. Following preprocessing, a combination of Drug Recommendation with cosine similarity and the Bee Algorithm is employed. Cosine similarity establishes a baseline for drug similarity, while the Bee Algorithm optimizes the selection process by considering additional factors beyond just similarity, such as potential side effects and cost-effectiveness. © 2024 IEEE.
