Deep learning has recently become a viable approach for classifying Alzheimer's disease(AD)in medical ***,existing models struggle to efficiently extract features from medical images and may squander additional information resources for illness *** address these issues,a deep three‐dimensional convolutional neural network incorporating multi‐task learning and attention mechanisms is *** upgraded primary C3D network is utilised to create rougher low‐level feature *** introduces a new convolution block that focuses on the structural aspects of the magnetORCID:ic resonance imaging image and another block that extracts attention weights unique to certain pixel positions in the feature map and multiplies them with the feature map ***,several fully connected layers are used to achieve multi‐task learning,generating three outputs,including the primary classification *** other two outputs employ backpropagation during training to improve the primary classification *** findings show that the authors’proposed method outperforms current approaches for classifying AD,achieving enhanced classification accuracy and other in-dicators on the Alzheimer's disease Neuroimaging Initiative *** authors demonstrate promise for future disease classification studies.

A recent line of works showed regret bounds in reinforcement learning (RL) can be (nearly) independent of planning horizon, a.k.a. the horizon-free bounds. However, these regret bounds only apply to settings where a polynomial dependency on the size of transition model is allowed, such as tabular Markov Decision Process (MDP) and linear mixture MDP. We give the first horizon-free bound for the popular linear MDP setting where the size of the transition model can be exponentially large or even uncountable. In contrast to prior works which explicitly estimate the transition model and compute the inhomogeneous value functions at different time steps, we directly estimate the value functions and confidence sets. We obtain the horizon-free bound by: (1) maintaining multiple weighted least square estimators for the value functions;and (2) a structural lemma which shows the maximal total variation of the inhomogeneous value functions is bounded by a polynomial factor of the feature dimension. © 2024 12th International Conference on Learning Representations, ICLR 2024. Rapid developments in digital technology have expedited the dissemination of information on social media platforms like as Twitter, Facebook, and Weibo. Unverified information can create protests and mislead the public. It can also cause significant issues for governmental entities and society at large. Unverified content is frequently shared as text, images, audio, or video. This paper introduces a novel Self-Guided Edge Attention-Focused Transformer Slimmable Network improved by Osprey Optimization (SGEAFTSN-OO) for the purpose of identifying fake news. This system operates using the Politifact and Gossipcop databases. Text and visual data are preprocessed using NLP Stemming Self-Guided Filtering (NLPS-SGF). To extract features, the Multilayer Edge Attention with Focused Transformer (MEAFT) is then applied. Lastly, Slimmable Pruned Neural Network with Osprey Optimization (SP-Net-OO) algorithm is employed to identify fake news events. Metrics including accuracy, recall, precision, and F1-score are compared with those of the existing approaches in order to assess the effectiveness of the suggested strategy. The proposed model achieved 99.21% accuracy, 99.15% precision, and 99.12% F1-score based on experimental data. ©2024 IEEE.

At the moment, weather data is crucial for supporting neighborhood activities. The economy and trade are both centered in Jakarta, which is also Indonesia's capital. Therefore, it is crucial to have access to weather information so that these activities don't get disrupted, which would then hinder commercial and trade activity. Social media has been a very popular tool for spreading information recently. Particularly on Instagram, where users favor taking images and sharing the information they encounter. @jktinfo is the Instagram account that posts information about the situation in Jakarta and the area, including the current weather. The escalating demand for skilled IT professionals underscores the increasing significance of the recruitment process. Traditional methods often fall short in identifying individuals poised for success in the dynamic technology industry. This paper aims to address the challenges in recruiting proficient applicants by proposing an interpretable machine learning model for assessing IT job candidates. The study conducts experiments comparing various machine learning algorithms, including Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and Decision Tree, using data from the ‘IT job applicant’ public dataset. Evaluation methods such as the confusion matrix, accuracy, recall, and precision are employed to assess the model's performance. The findings reveal that the decision tree exhibits an accuracy exceeding 99.8%, establishing it as the top-performing model. The key contributing factor to this accuracy is identified as the 'computerSkills' feature. Additionally, within the decision tree, *** and Microsoft SQL Server are highlighted as influential factors positively impacting individual decision interpretation.

Indonesia's tourism sector, boosted by its captivating landscapes, has seen a rise in the popularity of Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) like Traveloka, ***, and Agoda. To effectively assist tourists, OTAs are anticipated to comprehend tourists' needs and interests, with insights gathered through scraping data from the Google Play Store. Through topic extraction from customers' reviews, this research aims to optimize the tourist experience and offer actionable insights for the tourism industry's marketing strategies. Furthermore, it endeavors to eliminate the reliance on brute force approaches in determining the candidate number of topics. To achieve the research goal, this research employs topic modeling, specifically Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) enhanced through the K- means elbow method. The evaluation of the optimal topic number utilizes a coherence score, while human judgement serves as a quantitative metric for overall performance, with a remarkable validity rate across three platforms: Agoda (91%), *** (88%), and Traveloka (94%). This highlights the approach's effectiveness in accurately identifying and categorizing topics. In conclusion, the model accurately discerned essential topics, revealing that the majority of the reviews on these OTAs focus on the transaction and refund systems on each platform. Furthermore, this model offers promising recommendations to enhance the understanding and response to customers' reviews, facilitating faster and more effective responses. These insights are invaluable for continuous development and improvement strategies within the dynamic changes in the tourism industry across these influential platforms.

Metasurface-based holograms,or metaholograms,offer unique advantages including enhanced imaging quality,expanded field of view,compact system size,and broad operational ***-channel metaholograms,capable of switching between multiple projected images based on the properties of illuminating light such as state of polarization and angle of incidence,have emerged as a promising solution for realizing switchable and dynamic holographic ***,existing designs typically grapple with challenges such as limited multiplexing channels and unwanted crosstalk,which severely constrain their practical ***,we present a new type of waveguidebased multi-channel metaholograms,which support six independent and fully crosstalk-free holographic display channels,simultaneously multiplexed by the spin and angle of guided incident light within the glass *** employ a k-space translation strategy that allows each of the six distinct target images to be selectively translated from evanescent-wave region to the center of propagation-wave region and projected into free space without crosstalk,when the metahologram is under illumination of a guided light with specific spin and azimuthal *** addition,by tailoring the encoded target images,we implement a three-channel polarization-independent metahologram and a two-channel full-color(RGB)***,the number of multiplexing channels can be further increased by expanding the k-space’s central-period region or combing the k-space translation strategy with other multiplexing techniques such as orbital angular momentum *** work provides a novel approach towards realization of high-performance and compact holographic optical elements with substantial information capacity,opening avenues for applications in AR/VR displays,image encryption,and information storage.

It is possible to tell a lot about a person just by looking at their handwriting. The way someone writes might tell you a lot about who, they are as a person. There has been a lot of study on the possibility of deducing aspects of a person’s character from their handwriting. In this piece, we’ll look at the different personality qualities and how they might be utilized to make an evaluation. The report includes a dataset showing a correlation between several traits of personality. The Big Five Personality Traits are mapped using handwritten personality data. It was suggested that a comparison table should be used to spot distinctive character quirks. The article includes a review of previous studies and an assessment of the current status of the topic.
