A blockchain-enabled wiki framework based on participatory design

The 5G mobile Internet facilitates contents generation for online communities and platforms through human-to-human ***,a well-known online community,uses wiki technology to build an encyclopedia through collective intelligence and *** wiki systems adopt a centralized implementation,and while existing studies have optimized the efficiency of the wiki systems'centralized implementation,these systems still suffer from a lot of problems,for example,opacity and *** the years,blockchain has brought a flurry of fervour and decentralization to the system architecture,meanwhile giving users a sense of trust and ***,an innovative blockchain-enabled wiki framework called DecWiki is proposed to build one transparent,truthful,collaborative and autonomous *** several participatory design iterations,we present DecWiki's detailed architecture and its implementation in the form of a smart contract and use the interplanetary file system to complement the big data ***,we use the trusted execution environment to secure sensitive information in the wireless ***,the system overhead and the acceptance of the prototype are *** experiments present its significant performance.

On convergence of covariance matrix of empirical Bayes hyper-parameter estimator

Regularized system identification has become the research frontier of system identification in the past *** related core subject is to study the convergence properties of various hyper-parameter estimators as the sample size goes to *** this paper,we consider one commonly used hyper-parameter estimator,the empirical Bayes(EB).Its convergence in distribution has been studied,and the explicit expression of the covariance matrix of its limiting distribution has been ***,what we are truly interested in are factors contained in the covariance matrix of the EB hyper-parameter estimator,and then,the convergence of its covariance matrix to that of its limiting distribution is *** general,the convergence in distribution of a sequence of random variables does not necessarily guarantee the convergence of its covariance ***,the derivation of such convergence is a necessary complement to our theoretical analysis about factors that influence the convergence properties of the EB hyper-parameter *** this paper,we consider the regularized finite impulse response(FIR)model estimation with deterministic inputs,and show that the covariance matrix of the EB hyper-parameter estimator converges to that of its limiting ***,we run numerical simulations to demonstrate the efficacy of ourtheoretical results.

Toward Secure Trajectory Similarity Range Query Under Multiuser Setting

The widespread availability of similarity queries over trajectory data has led to numerous real-world applications, such as traffic management and path planning. With the proliferation of trajectory data, data owners often outsource storage and computation tasks to the cloud due to limited computing and storage resources. However, this scenario raises sharp security concerns, where it is critical to ensure both the integrity of query results and privacy during query processing. Furthermore, most existing works assume a single-user setting where all query users share the same key, which may lead to query privacy leakage. Therefore, in this article, we take the first step in studying the issue of multiuser and secure trajectory similarity range query (MSRQ). Specifically, inspired by the M-tree, we propose a secure index based on a distributed two-trapdoor public-key cryptosystem (DT-PKC), called M*-tree, and devise secure protocols to support multiuser query processing. We also carefully design a filtering strategy and verification scheme to ensure fast search and integrity guarantees. Finally, we theoretically analyze the security and complexity and empirically evaluate the performance and feasibility of our proposed approach. © 2014 IEEE.

Modernization and intense industrialization have led to a substantial improvement in people’s quality of life. However, the aspiration for achieving an improved quality of life results in environmental contamination. A primary consequence of environmental degradation is air pollution, resulting from rising levels of poisonous chemicals in the atmosphere, which may induce detrimental health conditions in humans. It is harmful to both humans and agriculture. Given that the effects of air pollution on plants may not be readily apparent, it is important to analyse the necessary data and compute the outcomes. Farmers prioritise on pests and plant diseases, frequently neglecting the detrimental impacts of air pollution. Some plant species can withstand high amounts of pollution from suspended particulate matter and accumulated gases, while others are more susceptible to harm. Therefore, plants’ reaction to air pollution is influenced by the kind of harmful compounds, their levels, and the plant’s susceptibility to them. The LSTM +CNN Proposed Ensemble method may be used to analyse the impact of air pollution on agriculture by examining trends in crop production over time and predicting which crop is more resistant based on the pollution data. The initiative created for this aim may assist farmers in determining the most suitable crop to cultivate in their fields to minimize the impact of air pollution on agricultural yield. The findings show deep learning algorithms correctly predict hourly pollutant concentrations such as carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ground-level ozone, and particulate matter 2.5, along with the hourly Air Quality Index (AQI) for California. A proposed model used test RMSE values as a measure to evaluate prediction performance, achieving the best possible results. © 2025 SCPE.

To get accurate data prediction results, it requires not only the right machine learning model, but also hyperparameters. Hyperparameters play an important role in shaping and optimizing the performance of machine learning models. Determining the right combination of model and hyperparameters is often a challenge. This research will use a hyperparameter search method, namely grid search. The aim of this research is to find out optimization best results from hyperparameters for several machine learning models using the Grid Search method and see the performance impact of using the grid search method for heart disease classification. Heart disease is a disease that has the potential to be fatal for humans if not treated quickly. Early detection can be done by utilizing machine learning models that are able to analyze data patterns from studied data sets. By training machine learning to study data sets related to heart disease, it is hoped that it will be able to carry out early detection of heart disease. © 2024 IEEE.

Online streaming feature selection(OSFS),as an online learning manner to handle streaming features,is critical in addressing high-dimensional *** real big data-related applications,the patterns and distributions of streaming features constantly change over time due to dynamic data generation ***,existing OSFS methods rely on presented and fixed hyperparameters,which undoubtedly lead to poor selection performance when encountering dynamic *** make up for the existing shortcomings,the authors propose a novel OSFS algorithm based on vague set,named *** main idea is to combine uncertainty and three-way decision theories to improve feature selection from the traditional dichotomous method to the trichotomous ***-Vague also improves the calculation method of correlation between features and ***,OSFS-Vague uses the distance correlation coefficient to classify streaming features into relevant features,weakly redundant features,and redundant ***,the relevant features and weakly redundant features are filtered for an optimal feature *** evaluate the proposed OSFS-Vague,extensive empirical experiments have been conducted on 11 *** results demonstrate that OSFS-Vague outperforms six state-of-the-art OSFS algorithms in terms of selection accuracy and computational efficiency.

In recent times, there has been considerable attention directed towards Facial Expression Recognition (FER) due to its extensive utility across diverse domains. However, the universality of facial expressions has been challenged by studies suggesting that cultural backgrounds significantly influence the perception and recognition of emotions. This paper addresses the need for culturally specific datasets in FER tasks, particularly in underrepresented regions like Indonesia. The study introduces dynamic images as an alternative input representation for facial expression recognition tasks, aiming to assess their efficacy using the Indonesian Mixed Emotions dataset (IMED). Through experimentation using EfficientNet model, the performance of dynamic images is compared with static image and video inputs. Results indicate that dynamic images exhibit promising performance, with an accuracy of 94.28%. These results outperform static image datasets and nearly match the performance of video-based models, which achieved an accuracy of 97.93 %, despite using fewer data. Nonetheless, challenges such as data imbalance and the quality of generated dynamic images persist, suggesting avenues for further research and model refinement. This study provides valuable insights into methodological advancements in FER, particularly in limited dataset conditions, laying the groundwork for future developments in dynamic image-based facial expression recognition algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

In the realm of wireless communications and task allocations, where agents need to travel to perform tasks, a new challenge has emerged. This challenge involves efficiently distributing tasks among agents while considering their preferences and priorities. Unfortunately, many existing solutions rely on centralized systems, making them susceptible to various vulnerabilities, including privacy concerns and security threats. To address these issues, this paper introduces a novel solution named SEPP-TAP-a secure and privacy-preserving decentralized framework for multi-agent task allocation problems, harnessing the power of blockchain technology. SEPP-TAP not only protects agents' privacy and location information but also strengthens network security by mitigating threats like the Sybil attack and network flooding. Our approach employs innovative anonymization techniques to ensure that agents' identities remain concealed throughout successive task requests, breaking any associations between tasks performed by a particular agent. © 2024 IEEE.
