Zero-shot multi-intent detection is capable of capturing multiple intents within a single utterance without any training data, which gains increasing attention. Building on the success of large language models (LLM), dominant approaches in the literature explore prompting techniques to enable zero-shot multi-intent detection. While significant advancements have been witnessed, the existing prompting approaches still face two major issues: lacking explicit reasoning and lacking interpretability. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce a Divide-Solve-Combine Prompting (DSCP) to address the above issues. Specifically, DSCP explicitly decomposes multi-intent detection into three components including (1) single-intent division prompting is utilized to decompose an input query into distinct sub-sentences, each containing a single intent;(2) intent-by-intent solution prompting is applied to solve each sub-sentence recurrently;and (3) multi-intent combination prompting is employed for combining each sub-sentence result to obtain the final multi-intent result. By decomposition, DSCP allows the model to track the explicit reasoning process and improve the interpretability. In addition, we propose an interactive divide-solve-combine prompting (Inter-DSCP) to naturally capture the interaction capabilities of large language models. Experimental results on two standard multi-intent benchmarks (i.e., MIXATIS and MIXSNIPS) reveal that both DSCP and Inter-DSCP obtain substantial improvements over baselines, achieving superior performance and higher interpretability. Semantic parsing converts natural language utterances into structured logical expressions. We consider two such formal representations: Propositional Logic (PL) and First-order Logic (FOL). The paucity of labeled data is a major challenge in this field. In previous works, dual reinforcement learning has been proposed as an approach to reduce dependence on labeled data. However, this method has the following limitations: 1) The reward needs to be set manually and is not applicable to all kinds of logical expressions. 2) The training process easily collapses when models are trained with only the reward from dual reinforcement learning. In this paper, we propose a scoring model to automatically learn a model-based reward, and an effective training strategy based on curriculum learning is further proposed to stabilize the training process. In addition to the technical contribution, a Chinese-PL/FOL dataset is constructed to compensate for the paucity of labeled data in this field. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms competitors on several datasets. Furthermore, by introducing PL/FOL generated by our model, the performance of existing Natural Language Inference (NLI) models is further enhanced. © 2022 Proceedings - International Conference on Computational Linguistics, COLING. This project aims to create an advanced machine learning system for accurate gold price prediction in response to the growing importance of gold prices in reflecting sentiment in the global economy and helping informed decision-making in international trade. By utilizing state-of-the-art machine learning techniques such as random forest regression, decision trees, and support vector machines in addition to large historical datasets of market indices and related commodities, the project seeks to identify complex patterns and trends influencing the dynamics of gold prices. From a methodological standpoint, the research focuses on optimizing both predictive accuracy and generalizability through extensive data preprocessing, exploratory analysis, and model training. Essential metrics like the root mean square error (RMSE) and R2 score are used in performance evaluation. The results show how well the random forest regression model outperforms the other two techniques with an R2 score of 0.990 and a low RMSE, demonstrating remarkable accuracy and reliability. The project’s goal is to provide organizations with practical insights for proactive risk management and well-informed decision-making in the dynamic world of international commerce and finance by combining state-of-the-art technology with empirical research. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

DISC-MedLLM: Bridging General Large Language Models and Real-World Medical Consultation

We propose DISC-MedLLM, a comprehensive solution that leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) to provide accurate and truthful medical response in end-to-end conversational healthcare services. To construct high-quality Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) datasets, we employ three strategies: utilizing medical knowledge-graphs, reconstructing real-world dialogues, and incorporating human-guided preference rephrasing. These datasets are instrumental in training DISC-MedLLM, surpassing existing medical LLMs in both single-turn and multi-turn consultation scenarios. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model in bridging the gap between general language models and real-world medical consultation. Due to multi-layer encoding and Inter-layer prediction, Spatial Scalable High-Efficiency Video Coding (SSHVC) has extremely high coding complexity. It is very crucial to improve its coding speed so as to promote widespread and cost-effective SSHVC applications. In this paper, we have proposed a novel Mode Selection-Based Fast Intra Prediction algorithm for SSHVC. We reveal the RD costs of Inter-layer Reference (ILR) mode and Intra mode have a significant difference, and the RD costs of these two modes follow Gaussian distribution. Based on this observation, we propose to apply the classic Gaussian Mixture Model and Expectation Maximization in machine learning to determine whether ILR is the best mode so as to skip the Intra mode. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the coding speed with negligible coding efficiency loss. © 2023 IEEE.

The localization of image splicing involves identifying pixels in an image that have been spliced from other images, necessitating the discernment of splicing features. Despite significant advancements driven by the rise of social media and deep learning, existing methods exhibit limitations, often neglecting the integration of coarse and precise features and lacking the ability to understand objects. This leads to erroneous predictions in identifying spliced regions. This paper proposes Segment Anything Model with Integrated Compression and Edge artifacts (SAM-ICE) for the localization of image splicing, addressing these limitations by fusing forged edge features and compression artifact features. Leveraging SAM’s object understanding ability, our method identifies spliced regions using the fused features as guidance. Specifically, we employ Edge Artifact Extractor (EAE) to extract fine high-frequency edge splicing features and Compression Artifact Extractor (CAE) to extract coarse compression artifact features. By combining these features, our method utilizes coarse-fine features to accurately pinpoint the spliced portions of the image. Experimental results demonstrate the superior accuracy, robustness, and generalizability of our method compared to the state-of-the-arts.

The optimization of operational amplifiers, including topology design and parameter tuning, is significantly challenging, given the high-dimensional and heterogeneous characteristics of the design space. This paper presents MACRO, a novel approach to operational amplifier design that employs multi-agent reinforcement learning for cross-layer optimization. We model the sequentially executed topology design and parameter tuning tasks as a Markov decision process, where the high-dimensional design space is effectively transformed into a series of manageable action spaces at each step. Two agents are meticulously tailored to specialize in these two distinct tasks respectively. The co-evolution of the agents is ensured by sharing design information and customizing the policy-gradient training method. Experimental results show that, compared with state-of-the-art methods, MACRO can produce superior-performing circuits while maintaining competitive design efficiency.

In recent years, live streaming develops rapidly, attracting an increasing number of users. Providing personalized live streaming recommendations is crucial for platform improvement in enhancing user experience and increasing profitability. In live streaming scenarios, users often enter the same live streaming room multiple times, send chat messages and give virtual gifts repeatedly. However, existing recommendation models fail to effectively model the complex multiple types of repeated behaviors of users in live streaming scenarios, thus failing to achieve optimal recommendation results. To address this issue, we propose a novel live recommendation model called MRB4LS based on multiple types of repeated behaviors data. Specifically, we first construct three bipartite graphs to better capture the effects of multiple types of users' repeated behaviors, including enter, chat, and gift. Second, we introduce a graph attention network named RepGAT, which explicitly learns from users' repeated behaviors. RepGAT incorporates the number of repeated interactions between nodes when computing normalized attention coefficients, enabling a deeper exploration of users' preferences and the heterogeneous strength of the interaction relationship between users and live streaming rooms. Then, we design two embedding fusion strategies, namely concatenation-based and attention-based methods, to integrate node representations generated by different repeated behaviors. Finally, we adopt a multi-task learning approach to enhance the prediction effectiveness of gift behavior by leveraging predictions from enter behavior and chat behavior. To validate our approach, we construct two live streaming datasets from a large-scale game live streaming platform. Extensive experiments on two real-world datasets with different scales show that our method can significantly outperform various baseline approaches. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Disability is a complex problem affecting many lives in Indonesia, especially people with hearing impairments. Disability is also a complex phenomenon, starting from the type of disability, degree of disability, and age of persons with disabilities to interactions and environmental impacts on disability. Moreover, there are many testimonies from around the world that people with disabilities are more likely to be weak and less likely to get an education. This paper aims to present a mobile application that offers sign language images and videos of any text in a learning environment that is shaped like a dictionary module to increase their vocabulary, learn a new sign language, and pronounce a word. This mobile application is specially designed for deaf people who have limitations in learning and educational training. This mobile application is equipped with several features such as user registration for the deaf and normal people who like to learn sign language, discussing through forums, using a sign language dictionary containing sign language text and pictures, using interactive learning videos, registering for an event activity, including giving input, and also make a donation. © 2023 IEEE.

The evaluation and diagnosis of diseases related to blood cancer can be intricate and time-consuming. This complexity is compounded by the reliance on manual analyses employing techniques that consume a significant amount of time. Numerous methods have been created over the past ten years for the finding, analysis, and categorization of human blood cancer. The lack of methods or models that can automatically analyze human blood cells to detect the presence of cancer, however, is still a significant issue. The development of such a model holds the potential to enhance the early detection and prevention of these diseases, thereby facilitating more prompt medical diagnoses. In our ongoing research, we present our current endeavors in the creation of a Deeper with Convolutions Neural Network (DCNN) Learning Model capable of recognizing anomalies in blood cells. We employ a Hybrid Ensemble DCNN Learning technique for the identification of blood cancer. With accuracy rates surpassing 99%, this method is one of the most sophisticated deep learning models.
