In real-world applications, such as sharing photos on social media platforms, images are always not only sub-sampled but also heavily compressed thus often containing various artefacts. Simple methods for enhancing the resolution of such images will exacerbate the artefacts, rendering them visually objectionable. In spite of its high practical values, super-resolving compressed images is not well studied in the literature. In this paper, we propose a novel compressed image super resolution (CISR) framework based on parallel and series integration of artefacts removal and resolution enhancement. Based on a mathematical inference model for estimating a clean low-resolution (LR) image and a clean high-resolution (HR) image from a down-sampled and compressed observation, we have designed a CISR architecture consisting of two deep neural network modules: the artefacts removal module (ARM) and the resolution enhancement module (REM). The ARM and the REM work in parallel with both taking the compressed LR image as their inputs, at the same time they also work in series with the REM taking the output of the ARM as one of its inputs and the ARM taking the output of the REM as its other input. A technique called unfolding is introduced to recursively suppress the compression artefacts and restore the image resolution. A unique feature of our CISR system is that it exploits the parallel and series connections between the ARM and the REM, and recursive optimization to reduce the model's dependency on specific types of degradation thus making it possible to train a single model to super-resolve images compressed by different methods to different qualities. Experiments are conducted on a mixture of JPEG and WebP compressed images without assuming apriori compression type and compression quality factor. Contribution: A learning management system (LMS) incorporated with an advanced educational data mining module is proposed, as a means to mine efficiently from student performance records to provide valuable insights for educators in helping plan effective learning pedagogies, improve curriculum design, and guarantee quality of teaching. Background: An LMS streamlines the management of the teaching process in a centralized place, recording, tracking, and reporting the delivery of educational courses and student performance. Educational knowledge discovery from such an elearning system plays a crucial role in rule regulation, policy establishment, and system development. However, existing LMSs do not have embedded mining modules to directly extract knowledge. As educational modes become more complex, educational data mining efficiency from those heterogeneous student learning behaviours is gradually degraded. Intended outcomes: The design and application of the LMS enable educators to learn from past student performance experiences, empowering them to guide and intervene with students in time, and eventually improve their academic success. Application design: This study proposes an effective LMS which processes the stored data through an advanced educational data mining module. The mining module utilizes probability-based frequent pattern mining for generating candidate itemsets and updating LMS databases in each iteration for complexity reduction. In addition, the conditional probability increment ratio (CPIR) is deployed as an exceptionality measure to mine effective common and exception rules simultaneously. The iteratively generated rules can reveal academic performance patterns so that have merits in learning personal goal achievement. Findings: Through two illustrative case studies, experimental results demonstrate increased mining efficiency of the proposed mining module without information loss compared to classic educational mining algorithms. Nuclei classification provides valuable information for histopathology image analysis. However, the large variations in the appearance of different nuclei types cause difficulties in identifying nuclei. Most neural network based methods are affected by the local receptive field of convolutions, and pay less attention to the spatial distribution of nuclei or the irregular contour shape of a nucleus. In this paper, we first propose a novel polygon-structure feature learning mechanism that transforms a nucleus contour into a sequence of points sampled in order, and employ a recurrent neural network that aggregates the sequential change in distance between key points to obtain learnable shape features. Next, we convert a histopathology image into a graph structure with nuclei as nodes, and build a graph neural network to embed the spatial distribution of nuclei into their representations. To capture the correlations between the categories of nuclei and their surrounding tissue patterns, we further introduce edge features that are defined as the background textures between adjacent nuclei. Lastly, we integrate both polygon and graph structure learning mechanisms into a whole framework that can extract intra and inter-nucleus structural characteristics for nuclei classification. Indirect reciprocity unveils how social cooperation is founded upon moral systems. Within the frame of dyadic games based on individual reputations, the "leading-eight" strategies distinguish themselves in promoting and sustaining cooperation. However, in the real-world societies, there are widespread interactions at the group level, where individuals need to make a singular action choice when facing multiple individuals with different reputations. Here, through introducing the assessment of collective reputations, we develop a framework that embeds group-level reputation structure into public goods game to study the evolution of group-level indirect reciprocity. We show that changing the criteria of group assessment destabilize the reputation dynamics of leading-eight strategies. In a particular range of social assessment criteria, all leading-eight strategies can break the social dilemma in public goods games and sustain cooperation. Specifically, there exists an optimal, moderately set assessment criterion that is most conducive to promoting cooperation. Moreover, in the evolution of assessment criteria, the preference of the leading-eight strategies for social strictness is inversely correlated with the payoff level. Our work reveals the impact of social strictness on prosocial behavior, highlighting the importance of group-level interactions in the analysis of evolutionary games and complex social dynamics. © 2023, CC BY.

It introduces a new method for caring for diabetic feet combines smart pressure monitoring for the feet with wearable gear that is cloud-based and uses artificial neural networks (ANNs). It is essential to recognize diabetic foot ulcers early and monitor them continuously to avoid complications. Wearable pressure sensors record data on the user's foot pressure in real time make up the proposed system. ANNs trained to detect patterns recommend a possible risk of ulceration by analyzing this data once it is transferred to a cloud-based platform. By using cloud-based architecture, healthcare practitioners can remotely monitor patients and intervene as necessary. Clinical trials show the technology improves diabetic foot care by detecting irregularities in pressure distribution and lowering the risk of ulcers and their sequel. Improved patient outcomes and decreased healthcare expenses are achieved via the preventive treatment of diabetic feet made possible by this system, which makes use of breakthroughs in wearable technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

Research backs up the common perception that the years preceding up to college are the most difficult, showing that students report higher levels of discomfort and worse self-esteem during this switch. Positive personality qualities such as optimism, hope, and happiness were examined in this system along with 215 first-semester Israeli university students' ratings of functional impairment, psychological distress, and self-esteem. The three stages that make up this suggested method are data preprocessing, model training, and feature selection. In order to process data that would be infeasible to process without data preprocessing, the data can be adjusted to meet the specifications of each data mining technique. Beginning with different forms of feature classification or aggregation and progressing to individual activity levels, several levels of feature granularity were investigated in order to employ a feature selection technique. The proposed approach used an AOA-CNN-XGBoost for the whole model training phase. This novel method outperforms CNN and AOA with an average accuracy of 89.27%.

Website security is a big threat for both large companies and individual developers, the more advanced the technology employed, the more challenging it is to build secure website development procedures. Hackers can easily access vulnerabilities that were not patched during development and that were thereafter distributed. This could result in significant financial losses for the business or the person. Users who visit vulnerable websites may be subject to XSS attacks that could compromise their systems, or an unsecure database configuration may result in a potential data leak, in which case the password of every user who has registered on the website is compromised. Users who use the same password on numerous websites run the danger of identity theft. This study offers the most common vulnerabilities that should be fixed in any application, giving developers the crucial place to start. The overwhelming number of vulnerabilities in each application that is being developed served as the impetus for this project. Every developer, regardless of expertise level, needs a place to start in order to fix any vulnerabilities that may have appeared in their program. The goal of this project is to create a safe online application in accordance with the recommendations of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWSAP). This demonstrates how web application vulnerabilities can be mitigated through coding changes, configuration adjustments, and patch applications. The top ten vulnerabilities according to OWASP are SQL injections, faulty authentication, sensitive data exposure, faulty access control, and XML external entities. The web application’s security has been examined and shown to have defenses in place for those vulnerabilities.

In the field of cognitive healthcare Internet of Things (CH-IoT), there is a strong demand for reliable and minimally intrusive smart gadgets that consistently acquire, analyse, and obtain the confidential health details of the individual. In fact, CH-IoT is empowered with artificial intelligence (AI) to transmute a fewer operational inputs into actionable, intelligent actions through the digitization of medical healthcare data. However, these systems consume more network complexity, interaction, and overhead costs, while inducing a blend of susceptibility and confidentiality issues. In support of this complexity, these cognitive systems need centralised data collection and to be gathered and analysed, which affects scalability issues and adds fuel to privacy and security breaches. Even though it possesses greater intricacy in its potential application, a substantial factor is maintaining the private preservation of healthcare data against the growing attacks. Thus, this paper presents a distributed privacy-preserving, chaotic encryption-based framework that can be deployed for CH-IoT systems to safeguard sensitive data against message modification, denial of service (DoS), and man-in-the-middle attacks (MIM), guaranteeing privacy and data integrity. The proposed framework integrated the federated learning layered hybrid chaotic encryption strategies by investigating through examination the learning infrastructure of convolutional neural networks (CNN). In the examination, the complete framework was carried out in the Tensorflow Federated Learning Libraries (FLL), and numerous performance metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, f1-score, transmission efficiency, and overhead ratio were measured and contrasted with the various existing frameworks. The emergence of space-air-ground integrated multi-access edge computing (SAGIMEC) networks opens a significant opportunity for the rapidly growing low altitude economy (LAE), facilitating the development of various applications by offering efficient communication and computing services. However, the heterogeneous nature of SAGIMEC networks, coupled with the stringent computational and communication requirements of diverse applications in the LAE, introduces considerable challenges in integrating SAGIMEC into the LAE. In this work, we first present a digital twin-assisted SAGIMEC paradigm for LAE, where digital twin enables reliable network monitoring and management, while SAGIMEC provides efficient computing offloading services for Internet of Things sensor devices (ISDs). Then, a joint satellite selection, computation offloading, communication resource allocation, computation resource allocation and UAV trajectory control optimization problem (JSC4OP) is formulated to maximize the quality of service (QoS) of ISDs. Given the complexity of JSC4OP, we propose an online decentralized optimization approach (ODOA) to address the problem. Specifically, JSC4OP is first transformed into a real-time decision-making optimization problem (RDOP) by leveraging Lyapunov optimization. Then, to solve the RDOP, we introduce an online learning-based latency prediction method to predict the uncertain system environment and a game theoretic decision-making method to make real-time decisions. Finally, theoretical analysis confirms the effectiveness of the ODOA, while the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed ODOA outperforms other alternative approaches in terms of overall system performance. The most crucial public concern regarding health is elderly people's falls which tend to undesirable injuries leading to an increase in healthcare expenses for them. This research paper describes a method that uses AI technology with a barometer sensor to detect falls in elderly people. In addition to this, the AI model is trained on a diverse dataset comprising various activities of daily living, enabling it to distinguish between normal movements and those that may lead to falls. This method probably gives some notifications or missed calls to the caretakers as well as to the hospitals. When compared to many more sensors such as gyroscopes and some fitness trackers, the Apple Watch 4, and Samsung Gear S3 barometer sensor perform in a better better way. Key performance metrics such as absolute and altitude are calculated and compared based on a natural language processing (NLP) algorithm.
