With its vast population and extensive healthcare requirements, India is moving toward digitalizing its health records. Safeguarding Electronic Health Records (EHRs) is crucial given the increase in security breaches and attacks, with India’s healthcare sector at the forefront. This study provides an overview of EHR security in India by exploring the EHR adoption rate in India and the barriers to its use. It focuses on the significant security challenges they bring, and the initiatives currently being implemented in India, such as the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and the recently released National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) Digital Health Standards. Integrating Blockchain in current EHR systems to resolve the observed challenges is then explored. The findings of this study show the urgency of integrating emerging technologies such as blockchain which have the potential for patient-controlled data sharing and data immutability possibly within the framework of the ABDM. This study aims to serve as a valuable resource for healthcare professionals, researchers and other regions seeking to understand and improve EHR security. © 2025 the Author(s).

Yakshagana, a traditional theater form from Karnataka, India, features a unique combination of vibrant costumes, dynamic dance movements, and elaborate facial makeup, making character and actor identification a challenging task for automated systems. This research work presents a novel approach to classify Yakshagana characters into two primary categories, Vaishnava and Shaiva, and to identify the actors performing these characters using advanced machine learning techniques. Our research employs a Cyclic Gated Recurrent Neural Network (Cyclic GRNN) for classification and identification tasks. For character category classification, we integrate YOLOv3 and Faster R-CNN models, achieving an accuracy of 92.85% with YOLOv3 and 88.285% with Faster R-CNN. The categorization is specifically focused on distinguishing between Vaishnava and Shaiva characters. Additionally, for actor name identification, we utilize a RESNET-50 model, attaining a high accuracy of 95.60%. The results demonstrate the efficacy of Cyclic GRNN combined with state-of-the-art object detection and image classification models in accurately recognizing and categorizing Yakshagana characters and actors. This research contributes to the preservation and digital documentation of Yakshagana by providing robust tools for automated identification, thereby facilitating cultural heritage studies and enhancing audience engagement with this traditional art form. © 2024 IEEE.

FHO-based Hybrid Neural Networks for Short-Term Load Forecasting in Economic Dispatch of Power Systems

With the development of the smart grid era, the data volume of the power system on the user side is growing rapidly, and the dependence of citizens on electricity is increasing significantly. In this paper, we aim to maximize the benefits of both supply and demand in the power system, from two aspects: improving the accuracy of short-term load forecasting and optimizing the economic dispatch of the power system. Firstly, based on the analysis of electricity consumption data, an improved load forecasting method via hybrid neural network is proposed. After determining the prediction results of the proposed model, we solved a short-term economic dispatch problem with the objective function of minimizing the generation cost of the power system and constraints such as unit start-up and shutdown, to achieve optimization of economic dispatch. In this work, an improved hybrid neural network with Firehawk Optimization (FHO) algorithm is developed to improve the accuracy of the prediction model by optimizing hyperparameters such as input data, number of hidden layer neurons, and batch size. In a series of numerical experiments, the proposed method is compared with other well-known optimization algorithms, such as Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Grey Wolf Optimiser (GWO) and Wild Horse Optimisation (WHO). From the comparison results, it shows that our method acheives better performance evaluation, and also improves the prediction accuracy of neural network models. Based on the load forecasting results, we determine the optimal scheduling scheme for the combination of power supply units, which minimizes the load and achieves higher applicability. © 2025, Taiwan Ubiquitous Information CO LTD. The research addresses the critical issue of detecting anomalies in autonomous in-vehicle network communication, focusing on the vulnerability of infotainment systems to denial-of-service attacks. The aim is to explore and compare traditional Machine Learning (ML) and advanced Deep Learning (DL) models for the detection of DoS attacks within Controller Area Network (CAN) communications. By evaluating the performance of various ML and DL algorithms, including Decision Tree, Logistic Regression, RandomForest, Feed Forward Neural Networks, and LSTM architectures, the study aims to enhance intrusion detection capabilities in vehicular communication systems. The significance of the research lies in identifying the advantages of DL methods in capturing complex patterns and temporal dependencies within the CAN network, thus contributing to fortifying the security of automotive networks against evolving threats. The results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed models in detecting and mitigating DoS attacks, with DL methods showing promise in automatic learning and adaptability to intricate network structures. This study provides valuable insights for future research endeavors aimed at enhancing the cybersecurity of autonomous vehicles. © 2024 IEEE.

To transmit customer power data collected by smart meters(SMs)to utility companies,data must first be transmitted to the corresponding data aggregation point(DAP)of the *** number of DAPs installed and the installation location greatly impact the whole *** the traditional DAP placement algorithm,the number of DAPs must be set in advance,but determining the best number of DAPs is difficult,which undoubtedly reduces the overall performance of the ***,the excessive gap between the loads of different DAPs is also an important factor affecting the quality of the *** address the above problems,this paper proposes a DAP placement algorithm,APSSA,based on the improved affinity propagation(AP)algorithm and sparrow search(SSA)algorithm,which can select the appropriate number of DAPs to be installed and the corresponding installation locations according to the number of SMs and their distribution locations in different *** algorithm adds an allocation mechanism to optimize the subnetwork in the *** is evaluated under three different areas and compared with other DAP placement *** experimental results validated that the method in this paper can reduce the network cost,shorten the average transmission distance,and reduce the load gap.

In recent years, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have garnered a significant deal of interest for their ability to detect changes in metropolitan areas. One of the uses of change detection in satellite photographs is in the field of urban planning. Other applications include environmental monitoring and remote surveillance. A number of different approaches have been suggested in recent times for the purpose of automatically identifying alterations in the land cover based on GIS photographs. However, due to poor texture, cluttered context, and considerable object scale disparities, the convolutional neural network (CNN) method is only partially successful in capturing the context from geographic information systems (GISs). This is despite the fact that it remains an effective method for detecting change in urban environments. The article presents the construction of a CNN-based change detection model using the utilization of Dung Beetle Optimization (DBO). The DBO algorithm is used to adjust the loss parameter in order to increase the overall performance. The approach that was proposed makes use of the Onera satellite data set and displays an overall accuracy of 97.50% percent. In light of this, it appears that the strategy that is proposed is both very efficient and effective. © 2025 IEEE.

In the modern era of smart applications, video data is critically important in various contexts. In most of these applications, cameras are frequently incorporated to facilitate authentication. As a result, face recognition is the biometric method most frequently employed to authenticate users in these applications. The vulnerability of face recognition systems to spoofing attacks grows in tandem with their increased usage. As a result, robust countermeasures are required. This paper presents an approach to face anti-spoofing through transfer learning and YOLOv8 optimization. Additionally, a custom dataset was constructed using images obtained from web cameras and an existing dataset to assess the proposed work’s real-time effectiveness. The proposed approach also adds a blurriness threshold during image capture to improve performance. With a mean Average Precision (mAP50) of 0.975, the experimental outcomes highlight the model’s effectiveness in detecting face spoofing. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

A dataset of 938 images has been taken for the Bracket of Skin illnesses they include Melanoma, Nevus, and Sebborheic Keratosis. Using CNN procedures, 70 delicacy is attained in bracket of skin complaint. Non-invasive load monitoring (NILM) can help residents monitor the operation of household appliances and achieve the purpose of energy conservation and emission reduction. Load event identification is a key task of non-intrusive load monitoring. In order to enrich the characteristics of load events and improve the identification accuracy of load events, a load event identification algorithm based on color coding (CCA) is proposed. On the basis of retaining the basic waveform of active power, the three characteristics of active power (R), reactive power (G) and reactive power change trend (B) are fused to construct the color image of load events, and the image is trained and rec-ognized based on the AlexNet convolutional neural network with parameter adjustment. The experimental results show that this load event identification algorithm can stably and effectively distinguish the load events of different devices. Compared with three commonly used classifiers, the results show that this algorithm is superior to the traditional event classification algorithm based on power sequence. © 2016, J. Network Intell. This research called "Yakshakatha - Image to Text Platform for Yakshagana Images."It employs deep learning to classify crowns in Yakshagana Kirita using CNN classification. Yakshagana is a traditional South Indian art form, well known for its intricate costumes and headgear, posing specific challenges in identifying and classifying crowns. The system aims to classify various Kirita styles and provide detailed descriptions of the respective Yakshagana characters, or Vesha, offering valuable cultural and symbolic insights. The model was trained on a self-labelled dataset of Yakshagana images and used convolutional and pooling layers to capture fine details in crown designs. It achieved an impressive accuracy of 99%, ensuring precise identification and classification. Real-time predictions for the input images are made, which have predetermined mappings and description content for recognized characters. The system employs Google Gemini AI, in order to enrich the text description of the image by integrating cultural background. The responsive interface is provided for users on the image upload, real-time result, and enriched visual feedback using annotated output. This project combines modern image recognition with rich cultural content to preserve and promote the traditional heritage of Yakshagana. It will help the users to understand and appreciate the vibrancy of this art form. © 2025 IEEE.
