Hepatitis C is the liver's festering that can lead to severe liver damage, usually caused by the hepatitis C virus. Hepatitis C has different stages. It is tough to cure in it's last stages;at the same time, it is expensive and painful process. The current research, however, is an alternative precaution to this issue. Hepatitis C can be predicted early by using multiple factors. The dataset related to hepatitis C was not publicly available. To overcome this challenge, the healthy and HCV effected samples were collected from different hospitals in Punjab. A questionnaire based survey was taken including different HCV related factor i.e. gender, weight loss, hives/ rashes, swelling, jaundice, drug addiction history, hepatic encephalopa-thy (drowsiness, slurred speech), Ascites (fluid buildup in belly/ abdomen), spider angiomas (Spiderlike blood vessels), shared syringe usage, medical history, and severeness. Different cleaning, scaling, and feature selection techniques were applied to collect the best feature data. After selection, various machine learning algorithms were applied. Random forest, KNN, Decision Tree, SVC, and MLP were used, but MLP yielded optimal results in all classification algorithms. We have gained 95.9 % accuracy when tested on unknown data based on the MLP model. As the predictions' results were satisfactory, it would be helpful for the people and act as a critical awareness. © 2023 IEEE.

In dusty and hazzy circumstances, pictures caputured tend to be unclear. To tackle this challenge researchers have founded different image-dehazing approaches. Lately, high quality pictures which could be used to extract maximal data from autonomous systems are in great demand. In order to minimize the haze from the picture, this research study uses various deep learning (also known as DL) architectures to identify the information recovered and extract key details from the image. The research paper focuses on utilizing deep learning techniques to remove haze from clear *** first phase of the suggested architecture involves applying multiple pre-processing methods, including estimating the airlight, implementing contextual regularization and boundary constraints, as well as contrast enhancement techniques (CS, CLAHE, HE) and Image Fusion. The subsequent goal of this study is to pinpoint the optimal deep learning model that can produce clear images based on the resulting dehazed images. The quality of the dehazed images is evaluated by comparing them with clear images using metrics such as PSNR and SSIM. Experimental findings shows that Alex Net upon the implementation of pre-processing beats other state of the art techniques with regard to PSNR value and holds its own w.r.t SSIM values. © 2023 IEEE.

Brain cancer can take many forms, but glioblastoma (GBM) is one of the most aggressive. To treat it effectively, doctors need to know the genetic subtype of a specific part of the tumor called the O-6-methylguanine-DNA-methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter. This information is critical for making treatment decisions and predicting outcomes. However, traditional methods for predicting MGMT status have significant limitations. One of the main reasons for this poor performance is that these methods fail to capture small variations in MRI signatures that are essential for accurately predicting MGMT promoter methylation status. In this work, we propose a two-part approach to predict the MGMT methylation status. First, we use autoencoders to extract features from the MRI images, capturing intricate spatial patterns and representations. Then, we feed these encoded features into a visual transformer architecture to learn long-range dependencies and contextually significant relationships among image regions. This innovative fusion of autoencoders and visual transformers allows us to harness both local and global information present in the MRI data. We utilized a dataset consisting of 1010 3D MRI images from patients with GBM. Half of the patients had MGMT promoter methylation, while the other half did not. The model achieved impressive results, including an overall accuracy score of 0.904, recall score of 0.902, precision score of 0.914, F1 score of 0.906, and specificity score of 0.906. These metrics far surpass the accuracy of conventional imaging techniques. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a gesture-based RockPaper-Scissors game that leverages computer vision and hand gesture recognition to enable intuitive human-computer interaction. Utilizing MediaPipe's pre-trained hand tracking module, the system detects and identifies 21 hand landmarks in real-time to classify gestures as rock, paper or scissors based on angular relationships between key points. OpenCV is used for webcam integration and video frame preprocessing, ensuring seamless interaction. The game compares the recognized gesture with a computer-generated move, dynamically displaying the results and resetting after each round for continuous play. The system identifies gestures through precise angle calculations, differentiating between closed fists, open palms and extended fingers. Sample outputs demonstrate real-time gameplay scenarios, highlighting gesture recognition accuracy and user engagement. Future enhancements include refining recognition accuracy, adding multiplayer functionality, introducing customizable gestures, and deploying the game on web and mobile platforms for broader accessibility. This project showcases the potential of integrating AI and computer vision in creating engaging and user-friendly applications. © 2025 IEEE.

Accurate prediction of television (TV) audience ratings is a crucial technology for advertisers and broadcast-ers, which influences advertising costs and indicates program popularity. As for Japanese TV dramas, previous studies have examined factors available prior to broadcast, such as cast com-position, metadata variables (e.g., scheduled time slot, broadcasting station, episode duration), and indicators of actor popularity. However, such studies have been limited in their evaluation of contextual information related to these factors and have not considered additional modalities such as text data. Here, we propose the use of knowledge-based embeddings derived from Japanese Wikipedia to improve audience ratings prediction. The proposed bag-of-entities method is applied to represent dramas in terms of cast, production team, and plot synopsis elements, and is evaluated against conventional metadata features. In an ablation study, supervised forecasting models using Support Vector Machine (SVM) are trained on combinations of the feature groups. These are devised and tested on viewership data collected from the Audience Rating TV (ARTV) database for 574 Japanese TV dramas aired between 2003 and 2021. Our experimental results indicate that a SVM model conditioned on the full feature set outperforms baseline methods, achieving a 77.4 % F1-score. After stratifying predictions based on time slot popularity, the approach is found to be effective for predicting audience ratings in challenging, high-popularity time slots, with improvements in recognition rate up to 19.1 %. © 2024 IEEE.

The accelerated connectivity across almost all entities of the globe has eventually escalated the number of Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial IoT (IIoT) devices. These objects need seamless internet access which makes them vulnerable to various types of cyber-attacks at various layers. Many innovative and efficient solutions are developed for preventing these attacks and protecting the devices and data from malicious access. However, new forms of attacks continue to surge every year, which necessitates the development of more adaptive solutions by harnessing the attack profile data. The proposed research work constructs a heterogeneous ensemble model consisting of different types of base machine learning algorithms. These models explore the network profile data of the IoT and IIoT devices to extract inherent and latent features from it and predicts the network activity. Later, the predictions of the individual base learners are aggregated using a meta learner model to give the final prediction. The performance of the proposed ensemble model is validated using standard prediction metrics to assess its performance. As future research extension many base learners could be integrated to form a more efficient and powerful ensemble model with novel aggregation techniques. © 2025 IEEE.

In the workplace, risk prevention helps detect the risks and prevent accidents. To achieve this, workers' mental and physical parameters related to their health should be focused on and analyzed. It helps improve the workers' mental health and thus improves organizational performance. There are a lot of mental illnesses due to excess work and a lack of professional knowledge. It affects the performance of the worker. So, the organization needs to conduct competency training programs to improve their professional skills and the mindset to tackle the work pressure. There are several competency training programs given in various organizations to mold the workers, and it considerably reduces workplaces risks. Competency training in the workplace teaches integrity, honesty, managerial skills, and other workers. Developing organizational skills is the primary concern in this competency training. This paper enabled one of the best machine learning algorithms to be chosen to predict the hazards in the workplace and provide a healthy environment to the workers. For that, several classification methods such as Logistic Regression, Decision trees, AdaBoost classifier, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting classifier, and XGBoost classifier are implemented experimented with, and the performance is verified with python software. There is growing research interest in measuring the statistical heterogeneity of clients’ local datasets. Such measurements are used to estimate the suitability for collaborative training of personalized federated learning (PFL) models. Currently, these research endeavors are taking place in silos and there is a lack of a unified benchmark to provide a fair and convenient comparison among various approaches in common settings. We aim to bridge this important gap in this paper. The proposed benchmarking framework currently includes six representative approaches. Extensive experiments have been conducted to compare these approaches under five standard non-IID FL settings, providing much needed insights into which approaches are advantageous under which settings. The proposed framework offers useful guidance on the suitability of various data divergence measures in FL systems. It is beneficial for keeping related research activities on the right track in terms of: (1) designing PFL schemes, (2) selecting appropriate data heterogeneity evaluation approaches for specific FL application scenarios, and (3) addressing fairness issues in collaborative model training.
