GIDN: A Lightweight Graph Inception Diffusion Network for High-efficient Link Prediction

In this paper, we propose a Graph Inception Diffusion Networks(GIDN) model. This model generalizes graph diffusion in different feature spaces, and uses the inception module to avoid the large amount of computations caused by complex network structures. We evaluate GIDN model on Open Graph Benchmark(OGB) datasets, reached an 11% higher performance than AGDN on ogbl-collab dataset. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper investigates intelligent reflecting surface (IRS)-assisted multiple-input single-output (MISO) visible light communication (VLC) networks utilizing the rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) scheme. In these networks, an eavesdropper (Eve) attempts to eavesdrop on communications intended for legitimate users (LUs). To enhance information security and energy efficiency simultaneously, we formulate a secrecy energy efficiency (SEE) maximization problem. In the formulated problem, beamforming vectors, RSMA common rates, direct current (DC) bias, and IRS alignment matrices are jointly optimized subject to constraints on total power budget, quality of service (QoS) requirements, linear operating region of light emitting diodes (LEDs), and common information rate allocation. Due to the non-convex and NP-hard nature of the formulated problem, we propose a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-based dual-sampling proximal policy optimization (DS-PPO) approach. The approach leverages dual sample strategies and generalized advantage estimation (GAE). In addition, to further simplify the design, we adopt the maximum ratio transmission (MRT) and zero-forcing (ZF) as beamforming vectors in the action space. Simulation results show that the proposed DS-PPO approach outperforms traditional baseline approaches in terms of achievable SEE and significantly improves convergence speed compared to the original PPO approach. Moreover, implementing the RSMA scheme and IRS contributes to overall system performance, achieving approximately 19.67% improvement over traditional multiple access schemes and 25.74% improvement over networks without IRS deployment. © 2024, CC BY.

The Mobile crowdsourcing network (MCN) leverages collaborative intelligence to solve complex tasks through group cooperation. It comprises three main components: the end-user, the service provider, and the mobile user. The end-user requests crowd-sensing and computing services from the service provider, who handles task decomposition, distribution, re-composition, and recommendation. Mobile users perform the crowd sensing and computing tasks. Despite its benefits, MCN faces significant security and privacy challenges. Communications between the service provider and the end-user involve sensitive data, and mobile users and service providers communicate over open channels, making them vulnerable to security threats. To address these concerns, we propose a secure authentication framework for MCN, called SAF-MCN. This framework combines the lightweight cryptographic primitive ' ASCON' with elliptic curve cryptography. SAF-MCN allows the service provider to authenticate mobile users before they join the MCN. Once authenticated, a secure channel is established for encrypted communication over the public Internet. The security of SAFMCN is validated using both formal and informal methods, demonstrating its resilience against potential attacks. The use of Scyther further ensures the security of SAF-MCN. Comparative analysis shows that SAF-MCN is superior in terms of security features, computational efficiency, and communication cost. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Hyperbit: A Financial Temporal Knowledge Graph data Storage System

In the field of finance, data has the characteristics of temporal multi-frequency and heterogeneous high dimension, and the traditional knowledge graph is not suitable to express the temporal relation of financial data, so the financial temporal knowledge graph has become a research hotspot recently. There are a large number of temporal edges in the financial temporal knowledge graph. The use of general graph database management system to store financial knowledge graph data has problems such as large storage scale and slow update speed, and it cannot realize the traceability of financial data, so it cannot meet the needs of the financial field. In order to solve these problems, HyperBit, a storage system for efficient storage and management of financial data, is designed and implemented. Firstly, a temporal quad storage structure is proposed. Secondly, the Log Structured Cumulative Update (LSCU) is proposed to update financial temporal data efficiently. The update log module is designed in the system. When there is data to update, it is not directly updated in the data storage of the system, but recorded in the update log, and the system updates the content of the update log cumulatively. The system manages update logs by partition and chunk, which makes the log storage compact and independent. Besides, it is convenient for parallel processing and it improves the data update speed. Thirdly, a Bidirectional Backtracking by Final and Optimal Root (BBFOR) method is proposed to meet the requirements of efficient traceability of financial data. Unlike traditional version tracing method, BBFOR adopt both the snapshot and incremental methods which balance the space and time cost of version switching, and BBROF consider the version of the access frequency characteristic and set up the final root and the optimal root. Deep neural networks (DNNs) have been widely adopted for various mobile inference tasks, yet their ever-increasing computational demands are hindering their deployment on resource-constrained mobile devices. Hybrid deep learning partitions a DNN into two parts and deploys them across the mobile device and a server, aiming to reduce inference latency or prolong battery life of mobile devices. However, such partitioning produces (non-uniform) DNN fragments which are hard to serve efficiently on the server. This paper presents Graft—an efficient inference serving system for hybrid deep learning with latency service-level objective (SLO) guarantees. Our main insight is to mitigate the non-uniformity by a core concept called DNN re-alignment, allowing multiple heterogeneous DNN fragments to be restructured to share layers. To fully exploit the potential of DNN re-alignment, Graft employs fine-grained GPU resource sharing. Based on that, we propose efficient algorithms for merging, grouping, and re-aligning DNN fragments to maximize request batching opportunities, minimizing resource consumption while guaranteeing the inference latency SLO. We implement a Graft prototype and perform extensive experiments with five types of widely used DNNs and real-world network traces. The rational design of novel polymers with tailored material properties has been a long-standing challenge in the field due to the large number of possible polymer design variables. To accelerate this design process, there is a critical need to develop novel tools to aid in the inverse design process and to efficiently explore the high-dimensional polymer design space. Optimizing macroscale material properties for polymeric systems is even more challenging than inorganics and small molecules as properties are dictated by features on a multitude of length scales, ranging from the chosen monomer chemistries to the chain level design to larger-scale (nm to microns) domain structures. In this work, we present an efficient high-throughput in-silico based framework to effectively design high-performance polymers (blends, copolymers) with desired multi-scale nanostructure and macroscale properties, which we call RAPSIDY 2.0 - Rapid Analysis of Polymer Structure and Inverse Design strategY 2.0. This new version of RAPSIDY builds upon our previous work, RAPSIDY 1.0, which focused purely on identifying polymer designs that stabilized a desired nanoscale morphology. In RAPSIDY 2.0 we use a combination of molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and Bayesian optimization driven active learning to optimally query high-dimensional polymer design spaces and propose promising design candidates that simultaneously stabilize a selected nanoscale morphology and exhibit desired macroscale material properties (e.g., tensile strength, thermal conductivity). We utilize MD simulations with polymer chains preplaced into selected nanoscale morphologies and perform virtual experiments to determine the stability of the chosen polymer design within the target morphology and calculate the desired macroscale material properties. With the wide application of deep neural network models in various computer vision tasks, there has been a proliferation of adversarial example generation strategies aimed at deeply exploring model security. However, existing adversarial training defense models, which rely on single or limited types of attacks under a one-time learning process, struggle to adapt to the dynamic and evolving nature of attack methods. Therefore, to achieve defense performance improvements for models in long-term applications, we propose a novel Sustainable Self-Evolution Adversarial Training (SSEAT) framework. Specifically, we introduce a continual adversarial defense pipeline to realize learning from various kinds of adversarial examples across multiple stages. Additionally, to address the issue of model catastrophic forgetting caused by continual learning from ongoing novel attacks, we propose an adversarial data replay module to better select more diverse and key relearning data. Furthermore, we design a consistency regularization strategy to encourage current defense models to learn more from previously trained ones, guiding them to retain more past knowledge and maintain accuracy on clean samples. Extensive experiments have been conducted to verify the efficacy of the proposed SSEAT defense method, which demonstrates superior defense performance and classification accuracy compared to competitors. Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is a rising concern worldwide, particularly in low-resource countries such as Bangladesh, where access to healthcare facilities is limited and awareness of GDM management is inadequate. This work proposes an early-stage design of user interfaces (UIs) for a mobile health (mHealth) intervention using the Bengali language that allows users to input daily measures of blood glucose, weight, and other GDM-related health data. The intervention is designed to provide users with personalized feedback based on their input and the necessary coaching for managing GDM. It also reminds users to take medication if prescribed by their doctors. The app has six key features: blood glucose tracking, food logging, medication reminders, activity tracking, educational resources, and personalized recommendations. Overall, this work provides a valuable contribution to the field of mHealth-based maternal and child health in Bangladesh. However, further research is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of the intervention in real-world scenarios. Network softwarization is a breakthrough in designing modern networks and providing numerous new network operations and services. This change is exemplified by Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV). As a result, the combination of SDN and NFV (SDN/NFV) frameworks and individual SDN and NFV frameworks have gained substantial traction in network security over the past decade, significantly supporting on-demand protection measures. However, the inherent security shortcomings of SDN, NFV, and SDN/NFV frameworks provide the fundamental issue in implementing security procedures via network softwarization. To solve this issue, we present a Software-Defined Perimeter (SDP)-powered Zero-Trust Architecture (ZTA) to improve security in the SDN/NFV-enabled campus network holistically. In addition to this, we also propose a threat model and quantitatively assess the suggested approach's performance and security. Furthermore, we highlight potential zero-trust network security function implementations in SDN/NFV-enabled infrastructure to increase protection for endpoint devices, network resources, and flows for detecting threats and responding effectively with minimal latency and overhead. © 2023, The Authors.
