Medical image registration is vital for disease diagnosis and treatment with its ability to merge diverse informa-tion of images,which may be captured under different times,angles,or *** several surveys have reviewed the development of medical image registration,they have not systematically summarized the existing med-ical image registration *** this end,a comprehensive review of these methods is provided from traditional and deep-learning-based perspectives,aiming to help audiences quickly understand the development of medical image *** particular,we review recent advances in retinal image registration,which has not attracted much *** addition,current challenges in retinal image registration are discussed and insights and prospects for future research provided.

Achieving the precise and real-time detection of wheat spikes play a crucial role in wheat growth monitoring for precision agriculture community. Machine-learning methods are commonly introduced to automatically detect and count the wheat spikes, which need carefully selected hand-crafted feature descriptors, leading to time-consuming and poor performance. The deep learning has become a promising technology for the accurate detection wheat spikes, owing to its powerful ability of feature extraction. However, the obtained wheat spike images from UAV still have serious overlap, dense distribution, various orientations, and large aspect ratios, leading to poor performance of recent wheat spike detection method. To address the demand of precise and fast detection and counting of wheat spike with dense distribution and arbitrary-orientation, a novel deep learning-based method, WheatNet, has been proposed. The attention mechanism has been introduced the process of feature fusing to highlight the important features of wheat spike as well as inhibit the useless information. Additionally, to optimize the parameters of the network, a loss function with soft dynamic label assignment is adopted to reduce the number of low-quality matches, which provides significant performance gains over other wheat spike detectors. Furthermore, to achieve the precise detection of wheat spike with multi-orientations, a large-scale oriented wheat spike dataset has been constructed, named RoWheat, including 900 images and 50419 annotations with dense distribution and various orientation. Experimental studies demonstrate that the proposed WheatNet achieves a recall of 99.7% and mAP of 91.8%, showing its promising performance gain compared to other state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

The processes of sowing and fertiliser application represent a significant aspect of agricultural production. In order to achieve efficient and precise seeding and fertiliser application, mass flow detection of seed and fertiliser particles can facilitate real-time monitoring and precise decision-making for intelligent seeding and fertiliser application. However, the diversity of seed and fertiliser particle types and particle flow modes presents a challenge for existing detection methods, particularly in meeting the varying operational requirements, especially for particle mass flow detection in low-altitude and high-speed sowing operations of agricultural drones. In such cases, the overlap and flow rate will have a significant impact on the detection results due to the large displacement and the continuous high-throughput dense phase of the particle flow. This paper provides a summary of the existing seed and fertiliser particle mass flow detection techniques and their underlying working principles. It compares the direct detection based on mass with the indirect detection methods based on velocity and concentration, and analyses their respective advantages, disadvantages and applicability. It also explores the possibility of optimising the existing detection methods for the specific needs of agricultural UAVs and considers the potential introduction of cutting-edge science and technology in order to develop an efficient, accurate and convenient detection system to meet the growing market demand. © (2025), (INMA Bucharest). In modern software systems, log anomaly detection is a key technology to ensure system stability and reliability. The existing log-based anomaly detection methods have make significant development, but they fail to provide high detection accuracy when processing semantic information, especially in terms of semantic noise and the need for task-specific semantic embeddings. To address these issues, we propose a novel anomaly detection method called Contrast-Enhanced Log Anomaly Detection (CELA). The CELA model first enriches the content of log events using large language models and further optimizes the pretrained BERT model through contrastive learning techniques, ensuring that the event representations extracted from logs more accurately reflect potential anomalous patterns. On this basis, we have developed an anomaly detection model based on LSTM, which can effectively learn and identify anomalies from rich event representations. Evaluated on two public log datasets, the CELA model demonstrated superior performance compared to existing methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Labanotation is an approach to record human movement with different distributions in space that have different representations of symbols. Motion capture is a technique that records the trajectory of an object in the time domain by tracking the motion of key points, observed using different sensors, and recorded in files. This paper is to manually mark the Labanotation based on 3D human motion capture data, to divide the 3D human motion into gaits and poses, and to record and represent different human movements and positions in space in the notation. This is an exploration of motion capture data to generate Labanotation, while also contributing to the preservation of folk-art forms. © 2023 SPIE.

This paper presents a comprehensive examination of the current state of underrepresentation of women in computer science (CS) degrees in Spain. It offers an overview of the situation across autonomous communities in Spain, highlighting the evolving trends within the country, regional variations, and the distinctions between public and private universities. The research employs descriptive statistical methods to analyze data obtained from the Spanish Ministry of Universities, Eurostat, as well as recent literature reviews. Furthermore, the study contextualizes the evolution of female enrollments in Spain by comparing it with data from other European countries. The primary objective is to gain a thorough understanding of the broader Spanish landscape and suggest future research directions aimed at reducing the gender gap in CS studies.

Evolutionary algorithms (EAs) have achieved remarkable success in tackling complex combinatorial optimization problems. However, EAs often demand carefully-designed operators with the aid of domain expertise to achieve satisfactory performance. In this work, we present the first study on large language models (LLMs) as evolutionary combinatorial optimizers. The main advantage is that it requires minimal domain knowledge and human efforts, as well as no additional training of the model. This approach is referred to as LLM-driven EA (LMEA). Specifically, in each generation of the evolutionary search, LMEA instructs the LLM to select parent solutions from current population, and perform crossover and mutation to generate offspring solutions. Then, LMEA evaluates these new solutions and include them into the population for the next generation. LMEA is equipped with a self-adaptation mechanism that controls the temperature of the LLM. This enables it to balance between exploration and exploitation and prevents the search from getting stuck in local optima. We investigate the power of LMEA on the classical traveling salesman problems (TSPs) widely used in combinatorial optimization research. Notably, the results show that LMEA performs competitively to traditional heuristics in finding high-quality solutions on TSP instances with up to 20 nodes. Additionally, we also study the effectiveness of LLM-driven crossover/mutation and the self- adaptation mechanism in evolutionary search. In summary, our results reveal the great potentials of LLMs as evolutionary optimizers for solving combinatorial problems. We hope our research shall inspire future explorations on LLM-driven EAs for complex optimization challenges. © 2024 IEEE.
