The application on a blockchain cannot maintain secrecy because its data is replicated across all peers in the network. To remedy this problem, Hyperledger Fabric introduces private data collection (PDC) into its smart contract (i.e. chaincode) to facilitate applications that require privacy. However, recent studies have revealed that PDC is too complex for chaincode developers to fully understand and use correctly, leading to privacy leaks vulnerabilities. In this paper, we present an empirical study on the prevalence of PDC misuse in chaincodes by extracting privacy leakage cases from StackOverflow posts and Hyperledger Fabric repositories on GitHub. Subsequently, we systematically categorize the misuse of PDC into three categories of vulnerabilities resulting in the leakage of private data and provide formal definitions for them. Furthermore, we develop PDChecker, an automated security analysis framework for identifying the privacy and security vulnerabilities in Fabric chaincodes. We evaluated PDChecker on 956 real-world chaincodes applying PDC and found that 67.78% of them contain at least one privacy leakage vulnerability. In addition, PDChecker uncovered 10 zero-day vulnerabilities documented by the China National Vulnerability database. © 2024 IEEE.

Named entity recognition (NER) is one of the fundamental tasks in biomedical text mining, aiming to extract specific types of biomedical entities from texts. Compared to general-domain texts, biomedical texts often contain nested entities and local dependencies among entities, which pose challenges to existing NER models. To address these issues, we propose a nested biomedical NER method based on RoBERTa and Global Pointer (RoBGP). First, we dynamically obtain word-level semantic representations using the RoBERTa-wwm-ext-large model. Second, A BiLSTM model is used to capture long-distance semantic information in a bidirectional manner. Finally, we utilize a global pointer network to recognize all nested entities from innermost to outermost. Experimental results on the Chinese medical dataset CMeEE show that our method achieves the F1 score of 67.69%, outperforming other advanced models by 0.32% to 5.11%, validating the effectiveness of our approach in biomedical NER. © 2023 IEEE.

We present GauKGT5, a sequence-to-sequence model proposed for knowledge graph completion (KGC). Our research extends the KGT5 model, a recent sequence-to-sequence link prediction (LP) model. GauKGT5 takes advantage of textual characteristics inherent in the knowledge graph, exhibiting a small model size. However, KGT5's proficiency in link prediction necessitates the ensemble with a knowledge graph embedding model, which itself poses challenges due to its substantial size and expense. By integrating the Gated Attention Unit into the KGT5 model and directly applying it to the encoder-decoder structure, we achieve improved contextual dependency capturing within the sequence, resulting in enhanced prediction accuracy, accelerated training speed, and enhanced computational efficiency. At the same time, we introduce parallel computing as a means to enhance the efficiency of model training and inference within the XPU distributed computing environment. © 2023 IEEE.

Group Emotion Recognition (GER) seeks to identify emotional states within multi-person groups. The complexity of the environment and the reliance on a single group emotion label often result in noisy individuals with inconsistent emotional expressions, hampering accurate emotion classification. Mainstream GER networks attempt to downweight noisy individuals, but when their numbers are high and over-relying on a single group label, the negative impact of noise on individuals remains significant, further complicating classification and diminishing accuracy. To address these limitations, we propose the Multi-Scale Contextual and Noise Suppression Model (MCon-NSM), a novel framework that enhances GER by capturing fine-grained interaction contexts and collaboratively suppressing noise at both the individual and group label levels. Extensive experiments on the GAF series datasets demonstrate that our method achieves results comparable to state-of-the-art techniques, validating its effectiveness in mitigating noise in GER. © 2025 IEEE.

As a complicate and systemic program, the mass appraisal of real estate relies heavily upon data. The accuracy, integrity and applicability of data greatly affects the effectiveness of appraisal work. Nowadays, because of the diversity of data acquisition ways, real estate data increase explosively, which brings challenges to data collection, storage, management, sharing and usage. To normalize the real estate data, thus guarantee the precise and completeness of appraisal result, it is necessary to construct a real estate database of high-reliability, high-scalability, and high-integrity. Due to the differences in cultures and national conditions, the real estate data are various among countries. As home to more than 17% of the world's population, China is facing to huge volume real estate data of high complexity, which makes it hard to collect and manage data. On this background, by analyzing real estate data, we discuss the technology route of constructing real estate database under GIS, and study data integration technique for real estate mass appraisal. At last, we take Shenzhen city as an example and verify the effeteness of our methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Federated Learning enables collaboratively model training among a number of distributed devices with the coordination of a centralized server, where each device alternatively performs local gradient computation and communication to the server. FL suffers from significant performance degradation due to the excessive communication delay between the server and devices, especially when the network bandwidth of these devices is limited, which is common in edge environments. Existing methods overlap the gradient computation and communication to hide the communication latency to accelerate the FL training. However, the overlapping can also lead to an inevitable gap between the local model in each device and the global model in the server that seriously restricts the convergence rate of learning process. To address this problem, we propose a new overlapping method for FL, AOCC-FL, which aligns the local model with the global model via calibrated compensation such that the communication delay can be hidden without deteriorating the convergence performance. Theoretically, we prove that AOCC-FL admits the same convergence rate as the non-overlapping method. On both simulated and testbed experiments, we show that AOCC-FL achieves a comparable convergence rate relative to the non-overlapping method while outperforming the state-of-the-art overlapping methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Automating the synthesis of User Interfaces (UIs) plays a crucial role in enhancing productivity and accelerating the development lifecycle, reducing both development time and manual effort. Recently, the rapid development of Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) has made it possible to generate front-end Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) code directly from webpage designs. However, real-world webpages encompass not only a diverse array of HTML tags but also complex stylesheets, resulting in significantly lengthy code. The lengthy code poses challenges for the performance and efficiency of MLLMs, especially in capturing the structural information of UI designs. To address these challenges, this paper proposes UICopilot, a novel approach to automating UI synthesis via hierarchical code generation from webpage designs. The core idea of UICopilot is to decompose the generation process into two stages: first, generating the coarse-grained HTML hierarchical structure, followed by the generation of fine-grained code. To validate the effectiveness of UICopilot, we conduct experiments on a real-world dataset, i.e., WebCode2M. Experimental results demonstrate that UICopilot significantly outperforms existing baselines in both automatic evaluation metrics and human evaluations. Specifically, statistical analysis reveals that the majority of human annotators prefer the webpages generated by UICopilot over those produced by GPT-4V. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Medical entity disambiguation (MED) plays a crucial role in natural language processing and biomedical domains, which is the task of mapping ambiguous medical mentions to structured candidate medical entities from knowledge bases (KBs). However, existing methods for MED often fail to fully utilize the knowledge within medical KBs and overlook essential interactions between medical mentions and candidate entities, resulting in knowledge- and interaction-inefficient modeling and suboptimal disambiguation performance. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a novel approach, MED with Medical Mention Relation and Fine-grained Entity Knowledge (MMR-FEK). Specifically, MMR-FEK incorporates a mention relation fusion module and an entity knowledge fusion module, followed by an interaction module. The former employs a relation graph convolutional network to fuse mention relation information between medical mentions to enhance mention representations, while the latter leverages an attention mechanism to fuse synonym and type information of candidate entities to enhance entity representations. Afterwards, an interaction module is designed to employ a bidirectional attention mechanism to capture interactions between medical mentions and entities to generate the matching representation. Extensive experiments on two publicly available real-world datasets demonstrate MMR-FEK's superiority over state-of-the-art(SOTA) MED baselines across all metrics. We present a novel holistic deep-learning approach for multi-task learning from a single indoor panoramic image. Our framework, named MultiPanoWise, extends vision transformers to jointly infer multiple pixel-wise signals, such as depth, normals, and semantic segmentation, as well as signals from intrinsic decomposition, such as reflectance and shading. Our solution leverages a specific architecture combining a transformer-based encoder-decoder with multiple heads, by introducing, in particular, a novel context adjustment approach, to enforce knowledge distillation between the various signals. Moreover, at training time we introduce a hybrid loss scalarization method based on an augmented Chebychev/hypervolume scheme. We illustrate the capabilities of the proposed architecture on public-domain synthetic and real-world datasets. We demonstrate performance improvements with respect to the most recent methods specifically designed for single tasks, like, for example, individual depth estimation or semantic segmentation. To our knowledge, this is the first architecture capable of achieving state-of-the-art performance on the joint extraction of heterogeneous signals from single indoor omnidirectional images.
