Accurate segmentation of gastric tumors is critical yet presents a formidable challenge in medical imaging, where conventional UNet-based frameworks, despite their prevalence, falter on intricate tumor samples due to their limited interactive capacities. The SAM-based segmentation methods address this shortcoming yet with insufficient accuracy. By ingeniously blending images with mask inputs, our MSI-UNet leverages a U-shaped design to deliver pixel-perfect segmentation accuracy, while a novel multi-scale attention module adeptly harnesses interaction points for refined information extraction. When benchmarked on gastric tumor segmentation tasks, MSI-UNet surpasses existing state-of-the-art methods, elevating the Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) from 74.82% to 79.3% and minimizing Average Surface Distance (ASD) from 6.46 to 1.98, achieving a comparable accuracy with inter-radiologist consistency of 79.7% DSC. Furthermore, our framework demonstrates superior predictive prowess in survival analysis, enhancing the C-index from 61.7% to 68.68%. Ample experimental comparisons have substantiated that MSI-UNet holds the potential to offer considerable assistance to healthcare professionals in managing and decoding subsequent medical procedures.

BGTplanner: Maximizing Training Accuracy for Differentially Private Federated Recommenders via Strategic Privacy Budget Allocation

To mitigate the rising concern about privacy leakage, the federated recommender (FR) paradigm emerges, in which decentralized clients co-train the recommendation model without exposing their raw user-item rating data. The differentially private federated recommender (DPFR) further enhances FR by injecting differentially private (DP) noises into clients. Yet, current DPFRs, suffering from noise distortion, cannot achieve satisfactory accuracy. Various efforts have been dedicated to improving DPFRs by adaptively allocating the privacy budget over the learning process. However, due to the intricate relation between privacy budget allocation and model accuracy, existing works are still far from maximizing DPFR accuracy. To address this challenge, we develop BGTplanner (Budget Planner) to strategically allocate the privacy budget for each round of DPFR training, improving overall training performance. Specifically, we leverage the Gaussian process regression and historical information to predict the change in recommendation accuracy with a certain allocated privacy budget. Additionally, Contextual Multi-Armed Bandit (CMAB) is harnessed to make privacy budget allocation decisions by reconciling the current improvement and long-term privacy constraints. Our extensive experimental results on real datasets demonstrate that BGTplanner achieves an average improvement of 6.76% in training performance compared to state-of-the-art baselines. The data-cleaning approach applies the capabilities of large language models to reduce the noise in the extracted and received data from healthcare sources. The aim will be to clean the collected and extracted data by looking up and dealing with the inaccuracies encountered during the project like missing or duplicated records, outliers, and data that will not add any value to the project. The “Diabetes” data set from Kaggle is divided into implementing the combined approach data-cleaning process such as removing duplicate entries, and emptying fields by a Large Language Model, to improve the accuracy is assessed. Three components will increase the reliability of the collected data: 1. Gateway, 2. Storage 3. Cleaning. The outcomes demonstrated the LLMbased approach’s effective impact in correcting and consistent data within the healthcare dataset.

Optimization of industrial activities is significantly helped by Advanced Process Control (APC), which increases efficiency, decreases costs, and improves product quality. Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) and the Internet of Things (IoT) have greatly improved APC in manufacturing. It examines how APC systems may include ANNs and IoT devices in industrial processes. By connecting to a wide range of sensors placed strategically throughout a production facility, IoT devices may gather data in real time, allowing for managing and monitoring crucial parameters. To APC systems, ANNs are invaluable for predictive modeling and control due to their adaptability to changing process conditions and capacity to represent complicated nonlinear interactions. Manufacturers may gain better control over their operations, improving productivity and product quality, by using data from the IoT to train and update ANN models. Recent advances in APC using IoT devices and ANNs are reviewed in this study. Their applications in various industrial industries are discussed, and case examples are shown to demonstrate their usefulness. Further improvements in APC for manufacturing using IoT devices and ANNs may be guided by highlighting the field's problems and future research goals. Challenges with data security, integration challenges, and reliability impact the accuracy of predictive modeling, scalability, and performance of IoT systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Space docking is an important aspect of modern-day space exploration, enabling crewed missions, shipment transport, and spacecraft refuelling. Traditionally, manual docking has trusted astronaut precision and floor manipulation coordination, which has grown to be inefficient and blunders-susceptible in deep-space missions because of conversation delays. Integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning (ML) is reworking area docking by introducing self-reliant, actual-time selection-making structures. IoT-enabled sensors continuously monitor spacecraft role, pace, and orientation, while ML algorithms optimize docking manoeuvres, beautify predictive upkeep, and make certain collision avoidance. Reinforcement learning similarly allows adaptive management strategies, making self-sufficient docking more efficient and dependable. This paper explores the improvements in IoT and ML for automating space docking, reading real-global programs along with SpaceX Dragon, NASA's AR&D systems, and China's Tianzhou cargo deliver. By addressing key demanding situations-precision, pace, and safety-those technologies pave the way for sustainable space exploration, including future Mars missions and autonomous area stations. The observation highlights how AI-driven docking may be integral for deep-space operations, making sure safer and more green missions are made. © 2025 IEEE.

In India, heart disease claims the lives of about one person every day. The human body's most vital organ is the heart. The heart has two primary purposes: first, it gathers blood from body tissues and pumps it to the lungs; second, it gathers blood from the lungs and pumps it to all body *** disease has claimed the lives of many people. Predicting that disease at the appropriate moment is crucial, for this reason. Making use of machine learning Additionally, illnesses are easily identified and anticipated. It also covers the use of many algorithms on the Heart Disease dataset. The dataset used in this research was obtained from Kaggle. Analyzing fundamental machine learning algorithms for the prediction of heart disease, such as Random Forest, K-Nearest Neighbours, Decision Tree Classifier, and Support Vector machine, is the primary goal of this study. Our Acquired Model for The Decision Tree Classifier has a score of 79.0%. And the Random Forest Classifier has an 84.0% score. With a linear kernel, the Support Vector Classifier scores 83.0%. Next, K Neighbours Classifier~ outperformed all previously employed methods, achieving the maximum score of {87%} with ~8 nearest result. RF (Random Forest), K-Nearest Neighbours Algorithm, and Decision Tree, together with Python programming and Visual Studio, which excels at both data and code.

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century, with profound environmental, economic, and social impacts. machine learning (ML) has emerged as a transformative tool to address climate challenges through data-driven solutions, offering predictive capabilities for extreme weather events and enhancing the efficiency of clean-energy systems. This technology benefits the optimization of renewable energy generation, intelligent grid management, and resource utilization towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, ML promotes climate justice through targeted region-specific intervention and inclusive solution-making for the most vulnerable. Several technical and ethical challenges associated with data quality, scalability, and model generalization must still be overcome for ML to realize its potential. This paper reviews the role of ML in climate change prediction and mitigation discusses ongoing real-world applications and outlines the future research agenda necessary to address existing challenges. Integrating ML with emerging technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT) and explainable AI, alongside global collaboration and a focus on climate justice, will be essential in advancing effective climate action. © 2025 IEEE.

Emotions play a crucial role in decision-making, moral judgments, and other cognitive processes. The goal of this work is to identify people's facial emotions from face images. Facial expression recognition (FER), a highly diverse field with many commonalities between classes, is a challenging problem. The capabilities of current FER systems are limited in this regard. In this work, a multi-block Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (DCNN) model was proposed to identify facial expressions. Five blocks with different computational components were defined in a multi-block DCNN to extract the unique characteristics from input images. The second model (DCNN-SVM) is developed with an ensemble of SVM classifier to improve predictability and stability. The third model (DCNN-MV) is based on the majority voting with 4 classifiers SVM, KNN, Random Forest, and Decision Tree. The CK+ dataset was utilized and expanded via image data augmentation to enhance model performance and generalization. By adjusting hyperparameters, the suggested DCNN model's accuracy was investigated. The DCNN model reports an accuracy score of 97.71%. Both DCNN-SVM and DCNN-MV models achieved 97.79% accuracy. On the CK+ dataset, the proposed models demonstrated good accuracy in identifying facial expressions. When compared to existing models, the proposed model outperformed existing models in terms of accuracy.

One of the biggest issues with worldwide public health is Parkinson's disease (PD). It is usually known that about are around one million Americans who have Parkinson's disease, whereas there are approximately five million cases of the condition globally. As a result, it's critical to identify Parkinson's disease early on and make the appropriate treatment plans. These days, machine learning is essential for analysing problems in real time and offering answers thanks to its widely used algorithms. These days, machine learning algorithms are used in the healthcare industry to identify patients' health problems. This research went into great detail about the methods used using algorithms that use machine learning to classify Parkinson's disease. A fault in the brain cells that generate dopamine, a necessary chemical for synapses to connect with one another, is the cause of Parkinson's disease. The brain's dopamine-producing neurons are in charge of control, flexibility, and event familiarity. When 60–80% of these cells disappear, inadequate dopamine is produced, which causes Parkinson's disease symptoms to manifest. In this case, the Random Forest, Decision Tree, K-Nearest Neighbours, and Support Vector machine techniques were used to identify the illness. Compared to Decision Tree and Support Vector machine, Random Forest and K-Nearest Neighbours offer the best performance.
