Efficient allocation of resources and timely agricultural interventions depend on the precise identification of crop loss at the field parcel level. Using recent data from 2018 to 2023, this study investigates the integration of deep learning techniques with real-time field photography to classify agricultural field parcels into those experiencing crop loss and those not. We build and assess deep learning models specifically for crop loss classification using a dataset from the Finnish Food Authority (FFA) that combines on-the-ground photos taken during field visits with comprehensive field parcel information. In this work, we use convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to examine the visual characteristics that we have extracted from field photos in order to identify the subtleties that may indicate crop health or possible loss. Our goal is to improve the model's generalization capabilities over a variety of crop types and agricultural landscapes by training it on a combination of field parcel data and corresponding photographs. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a single structure, multi-port antenna for 5G millimeter wave (mmWave) applications. The proposed antenna is constructed by exploiting the higher-order modes of a fraction-mode microwave substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity at 28 GHz (quadrature mode substrate-integrated waveguide (QMSIW)). Such properties exhibit spatial multiplexing capabilities, giving the single cavity a MIMO capability. Firstly, two perpendicular T-shaped microstrip ports (Port 1 and Port 2) are installed to excite TE205 higher-order mode of the QMSIW cavity at 28 GHz. To extend the MIMO capability, a 4×4 MIMO QMSIW antenna is created by adding two extra coaxial feeding ports (Port 3 and Port 4), the higher-order modes of the cavity are reused by leveraging two orthogonal inverted L-shaped slots, in which each slot is excited using coaxial cables at 28 GHz. The proposed antenna exhibited a wide -10 dB impedance and > 11 dB isolation based on the simulation environment without using decoupling structures. Finally, we believe this work offers a promising contribution to present and future multi-port single antenna, MIMO, and polarization applications. © 2025 European Association on Antennas and Propagation.

Skin health conditions should be diagnosed and treated on time so as to prevent complications and promote better health results. This paper presents an AI-based system that makes use of Convolutional Neural Networks with the InceptionV3 Architecture for predicting skin diseases at higher levels. The model, which is based on the large DermaNet dataset, classifies skin disorders fast and effectively. The system is coupled with a simple Telegram based application for the users to get a complete solution. A user can upload a photo of the affected skin area and get a diagnosis within seconds, an explanation of the disease and how severe it is in percentage. The bot also has a location and contact sharing feature that assists users in finding nearby doctors and clinics that can provide further assistance. It further provides on the spot appropriate cures for the particular condition diagnosed. Moreover, this makes it possible for the customer to fill the healthcare void in particular the neglected ones by making it easy for them to access real time high quality services. By equipping users with relevant information and appropriate actions required at the right time, this project has showcased how AI has the ability to transform the dermatological field. © 2025 IEEE.

Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) have achieved strong performance across a range of vision and language tasks. However, their spatial reasoning capabilities are under-investigated. In this paper, we construct a novel VQA dataset, Spatial-MM, to comprehensively study LMMs' spatial understanding and reasoning capabilities. Our analyses on object-relationship and multi-hop reasoning reveal several important findings. Firstly, bounding boxes and scene graphs, even synthetic ones, can significantly enhance LMMs' spatial reasoning. Secondly, LMMs struggle more with questions posed from the human perspective than the camera perspective about the image. Thirdly, chain of thought (CoT) prompting does not improve model performance on complex multi-hop questions involving spatial relations. Lastly, our perturbation analysis on GQA-spatial reveals that LMMs are much stronger at basic object detection than complex spatial reasoning. We believe our new benchmark dataset and in-depth analyses can spark further research on LMMs spatial reasoning. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Due to the ever-growing population, rapid urbanization, unusual environmental change, and dwindling water supply, the food production from conventional farming techniques won't be able to keep up with increasing food demand for long, leading to severe food scarcity. Aquaponics is emerging as a viable alternative to food cultivation techniques but lacks efficiency, hindering its adoption on a large-scale production basis. The adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques in smart aquaponic farming can further contribute to increasing the yield in aquaponics. In the study, both linear and non-linear regression algorithms such as linear regression, lasso regression, ridge regression, KNN regression, SVR, and decision tree regression were trained on aquaponic fish pond dataset, evaluated on the basis of multiple metrics like MAE, MSE, RMSE, and RMSLE, and a competitive analysis was done to determine the best algorithm for predicting the harvest weight of the fish in aquaponic ponds. The results showed that KNN regression and decision tree regression algorithms have lowest error and highest accuracy of 99.15% and 99.1% respectively, for predicting the harvest weight of the fish. The results obtained could be scaled up to commercial levels and used in regulating nutrient concentration and aquatic environmental conditions © 2023 IEEE.

Clustering is the discovery of latent group structure in data and is a fundamental problem in artificial intelligence,and a vital procedure in data-driven scientific research over all ***,existing methods have various limitations,especially we ak cognitive interpretability and poor computational scalability,when it comes to clustering massive datasets that are increasingly available in all ***,by simulating the multi-scale cognitive observation process of humans,we design a scalable algorithm to detect clusters hierarchically hidden in massive *** observation scale changes,following the Weber-Fechner law to capture the gradually emerging meaningful grouping *** validated our approach in real datasets with up to a billion records and 2000 dimensions,including taxi trajectories,single-cell gene expressions,face images,computer logs and *** approach outperformed popular methods in usability,efficiency,effectiveness and robustness across different domains.

Speech recognition based mobile device applications are gaining popularity due to their ease of use, flexibility as well as ability to provide hands-free access to device features and functions for persons without hands or with disabilities like blindness. The increased accuracy of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) systems and support to multiple languages is further motivating the researchers to develop such applications. The development of an application for mobile device helps to validate the applicability of an ASR system in real world environment. An android based speech recognition application for calling and messaging features has been designed and developed in this paper. User can send message or call to any phone number or contact stored in the mobile phone using Punjabi speech. Punjabi based ASR system having pronunciation dictionary, acoustic model and language model is used to implement the underlying speech recognition for Punjabi speakers. Speech user interface has been designed using Android, while AndroidPocketSphinx has been used as speech decoder. The successfully running application has been tested for multiple male and female native Punjabi speakers, followed by thorough performance analysis. The results shown are quite optimistic with a very low combined error of 1.6% for all female speakers and 2.1% for all male speakers. The application gives 98.4% success rate or recognition accuracy for female speakers and 97.9% for male speakers for the underlying Punjabi based ASR system. © 2023 IEEE.

One of the latest modern communication devices is a mobile device seriously affected by multiple malware. Malware is a virus software installed automatically by hackers on various computing devices. Malware corrupts the system software, kills *.exe files, and tries to access user-sensitive data from the device. Around the world, 80% of people use smartphones, and 70% use Android phones. All Android phones are installed with anti-virus software but not used properly. Thus, it creates a pathway for malware to enter Android mobile devices and deploy vulnerabilities. Several earlier methods have focused on using the malware detection method by analyzing static data, which cannot identify the dynamic behavior of the malware. Thus, this paper implemented one of the deep learning algorithms, RNN, for identifying and detecting malware activities in Android mobile devices statically and dynamically. An IoT network architecture is proposed for experimenting with the RNN algorithms verifying the performance. Effective communication is crucial for success in various interactions, including personal and online interviews. The work proposed is to refine the communication effectiveness and extend the understanding of interactions by incorporating new system functions of real-time emotion and body language capture. Facial and body landmarks are analyzed using Google’s Mediapipe to ensure accurate identification of the frequently performed emotions and frequently posed postures. The proposed system uses three classifiers, namely Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and Ridge Classifier, all integrated in one pipeline;this makes our work distinct. In the testing phase the classifiers are checked to avoid misidentification of emotions or incorrect posture in different situations. One of the major novelties of this work is its ability to address users of different languages, thus it is relevant anywhere in the world. This dynamic and robust system provides accurate emotion analysis achieving the accuracy of 92%, enhancing understanding in various communication contexts and setting a new standard for interview and interaction analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

Automated pulmonary nodule detection using computed tomography scans is vital in the early diagnosis of lung *** extensive well-performed methods have been proposed for this task,they suffer from the domain shift issue between training and test *** domain adaptation(UDA)methods provide a promising means to mitigate the domain variance;however,their performance is still limited since no target domain supervision is *** make the pulmonary nodule detection algorithm more applicable in clinical practice and further boost the performance across domains,we propose a human-in-the-loop method in a semi-supervised fashion to enhance the model generalization ability when transferred from source domain to target ***,we first train a detector model on source domain,and then the pre-trained detector is utilized with our proposed uncertainty-guided sample selection scheme(USSS)to find a few target domain samples worth annotating most and obtain their human ***,the annotated and the rest unlabeled target domain samples are used together to refine the pre-trained model via our proposed zoom-in and zoom-out constraint(ZZC)*** evaluate our method on the Nodule Analysis 2016(LUNA16)and TianChi *** results show that our method surpasses recent competitive methods on source domain and also achieves surprising performance on target domain.
