In the era of data-driven machine learning algorithms, data represents a new oil. The application of machine learning algorithms shows they need large heterogeneous datasets that crucially are correctly labeled. However, data collection and its labeling are time-consuming and labor-intensive processes. A particular task we solve using machine learning is related to the segmentation of medical devices in echocardiographic images during minimally invasive surgery. However, the lack of data motivated us to develop an algorithm generating synthetic samples based on real datasets. The concept of this algorithm is to place a medical device (catheter) in an empty cavity of an anatomical structure, for example, in a heart chamber, and then transform it. To create random transformations of the catheter, the algorithm uses a coordinate system that uniquely identifies each point regardless of the bend and the shape of the object. It is proposed to take a cylindrical coordinate system as a basis, modifying it by replacing the Z-axis with a spline along which the h-coordinate is measured. Having used the proposed algorithm, we generated new images with the catheter inserted into different heart cavities while varying its location and shape. Afterward, we compared the results of deep neural networks trained on the datasets comprised of real and synthetic data. The network trained on both real and synthetic datasets performed more accurate segmentation than the model trained only on real data. For instance, modified U-net trained on combined datasets performed segmentation with the Dice similarity coefficient of 92.6±2.2%, while the same model trained only on real samples achieved the level of 86.5±3.6%. Using a synthetic dataset allowed decreasing the accuracy spread and improving the generalization of the model. In this paper, we propose a series of applications that represent a system family for processing research data. The whole system is a model of complete data flow of "research", from data capturing, processing, until intelligent data analysis. data engineering, software engineering, Domain engineering and Ontology engineering are used for the development of the system. We also described tools and technologies to be used in building the system. The prototype of a small scale system has been built as a proof of concept of this family of system, for the domain of "research" in Indonesian context. The aim of building this prototype are: (a) to provide an architectural description prototype of a knowledge repository where Indonesian Context research as a central domain (b) to comprehend a software engineering for software system family.

There is a possibility of remaining indication of microorganisms on Martian subsurface and therefore, a robotic arm mounted on an exploration robot is required to dig to a certain depth and collect appropriate sample to be analyzed. However, the environment on the surface of Mars is harsh and most of all, limited power is available from the solar panel. In this paper, FEMI (Force-and-Energy Manipulability Index) is proposed to evaluate a feasible arm configuration for low energy consumption in its soil sampling operation. FEMI is calculated by the combination of an energy manipulability of an arm and an external force generated at an end effector of the arm. The FEMI derives the most feasible configuration on the joint angles of the arm for each sampling point. The usefulness of the FEMI is confirmed through a numerical simulation of a robotic arm. The simulation also presents that the FEMI can be used to obtain mechanical parameters of the arm such as link length and motor power, that are optimally-designed for a certain mission.

To support PrefixSpan scalability, there exits two problems regarding its implementation in MapReduce framework. The first problem is related to parsing & analyzing big data, while the second one is related to managing projected databases. In this paper, we propose two methods i.e. Multiple MapReduce and Derivative Projected database to overcome the first and the second problems. Our experiments show that those proposed method can significantly reduce execution time in supporting the scalability of PrefixSpan.

We present in this paper a new Direct Access Framework (DAF) for speaker identification system, to identify a speaker based on original characteristics of the human voice. Direct access method is a process to identify an object based on parts of the object itself, the parts called original characteristics. The proposed framework consists of two parts, the enrolment process and the identification process. Phases are as the following: speech preprocessing, speaker feature extraction, feature normalization, feature selection, speaker modeling, direct access method and speaker matching. In this paper, we used Indonesian speaker dataset containing 2,140 speech files, 142 speakers, 97 male and 45 female. The identification accuracy level based on MFCC features is 94.38% and the accuracy of speaker gender-based classification up to 100% based on pitch, flatness, brightness, and roll off features. The proposed framework helped the researcher in speaker identification system domain for implementing their proposed algorithms or model to obtain the best speaker identification system for various dataset. DAF is also could be used as a basic framework for the other multimedia data as well as image or video.

Information and communication technology (ICT) has become a very important tool to support organization activities to reach its goal, including in the city government. Currently, the Bandung city government has implemented and used several ICT in its daily activities. However, there is still not enough coordination and integration between each governmental unit that makes the works is not efficient. This paper explains the efforts to make an ICT master plan as an umbrella for ICT development in Bandung. We expect that the result of this work can bring Bandung to become a smart world class city.

In view of the problems exists in the operation and maintenance work of information system, such as variety of hardware, complexity of business system structure, lack of automatic monitor and troubleshooting measures. In order to improve efficiency of operation and maintenance, and to keep healthy operation of the information system, a automation operation and maintenance service platform of coal mine information systems was designed. The platform uses automated operation and maintenance tools Zabbix, real-time monitor running status and resource consumption of the servers, network devices, and applications, and uses variety of alarm methods to provide fault alert. The fault diagnosis and repair strategy is designed to achieve active operation and maintenance. The knowledge base of fault disposal methods based on Elasticsearch was designed, intelligent matching and push fault diagnosis and handle method to the maintainers, which improves the efficiency of fault repair.

Steady state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) has been employed significantly in various electrophysiological studies, most notably in the brain-computer interface (BCI) designs. While the standard approach of generating SSVEP is to use a 50% duty cycle pulse width modulation, i.e. with similar on and off periods of flashing, recent advancements in LED technology have allowed higher duty cycles such as 85% to be generated. While higher duty cycles are more successful in the entrainment and hence the improved response, it is unclear whether mental fatigue is also affected by a higher duty cycle. In this paper, we evaluate mental fatigue using a beta band energy analysis of electroencephalogram in five users while they visualise conventional 50% duty cycle SSVEP and 85% duty cycle SSVEP. Our results indicate that mental fatigue reduces with increased duty cycle and also confirms the comfort ratings by subjects, who report feeling more comfortable with the higher duty cycle.

With the constant expansion of the scale of the operators' network, the difficulty of network planning is also significantly increased. The traditional way of manual network planning highly depends on engineers' experience, which results in many quality and efficiency problems, especially in the issues of coverage holes in the existing network, which usually requires a lot of human resources for the network planning. This paper proposes an optimal network coverage-oriented operators' network automatic planning strategy, the mathematical model can quickly deduce the optimal network topology and base station location. The final experimental analysis shows that our proposed method achieves much better performance on automatic network planning through a mathematical model than manually network planning. It saves lots of human resources in network planning and improves the efficiency and quality of network planning. © 2022 IEEE.

With the introduction of the smart city concept and the rapid development of various emerging technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence, traditional parks have also ushered in new opportunities and are developing in a smarter direction. Since the park is an open area with frequent movement of people and equipment, it is prone to security problems. At this point, logs will be a good aid for incident accountability. In this paper, we mainly use Merkle hash tree and distributed storage for secure storage of logs. Meanwhile, to ensure the non-repudiation of logs, the signatures of users and log-generating devices are required when generating logs. After analysis, the scheme proposed in this paper can achieve tamper-proof and traceability of logs. © 2022 IEEE.
