Adaptable Model Versioning (AMOR) is a framework intended to be adapted for versioning of model artefacts. AMOR framework is known for some limitations in the operation and conflict detection process, as well as in the conflict resolution process. This paper presents an attempt to improve AMOR framework using Critical Pair Analysis (CPA), a computation conducted to determine potential conflicts between a pair of operations. CPA computation results are used to detect conflicts between operations and also to determine the conflict resolutions. The test results show higher accuracy for the operation detection process, but they also show a slower performance. For the conflict resolution process, the use of CPA provides a fast and accurate result.

Coal is the most important basic energy supporting the development of the national economy, safe production and effective supervision and management are of great significance. Currently, the coal mine safety monitoring system can be monitored locally, but it cannot help the supervision department to realize the remote supervision and centralized supervision. Establishing a corresponding coal mine safety monitoring network system has become a urgent need of coal mine safety supervision. In the paper, we first study the service-oriented architecture(SOA), and describes the windows communication foundation(WCF) technology, the technology is a main way to achieve SOA architecture. Then combined with WCF technology, the function and logic structure of coal mine safety monitoring network system are designed. Finally, the network system of mine monitoring system based on SOA was realized in the background of a mine monitoring system networking project of a company.

This paper presents a tool relying on data service architecture, where technical details of all VBS datasets are completely hidden behind an abstract stateless data layer. The data services allow independent development of interactive search interfaces and refinement techniques, which is demonstrated by a smart front-end component. The component supports common search features and allows users to exploit content-based statistics for effective filtering. We believe that video data services might be a valuable addition to the open-source VBS toolkit, especially when available for the competition on a shared server with all VBS datasets, extracted features, and meta-data behind. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Voice-over-IP systems are quite frequently attacked with the intent of service theft. While VoIP security has been intensively researched in the past, devised solutions often demand significant changes to the VoIP systems. In addition, several solutions propose the filtering of telephone calls, but these solutions only have a limited focus on the privacy rights of the call participants. We propose a method for analyzing communication records with the primary purpose to prevent VoIP attacks. Moreover, our approach integrates with little effort into common VoIP usage scenarios. As an example we use the prevention of toll-fraud attacks as a running example. The analysis of the communication records, however, requires investigating personal information in the communication records, e.g., call habits and phone numbers. Consequently we give an overview of major US and EU laws and regulations to elicit privacy requirements. We also demonstrate how these requirements can be implemented using Comercial-Off-The-Shelf VoIP systems. © 2012 IEEE.

Background Current microscopy approaches applied to platelet aggregates from multiple settings indicate their structure has important implications in efficient haemostasis and in clinical treatment of thrombosis. However, current fluorescence microscopy approaches are not amenable to detailed volumetric imaging of platelet aggregate structures. This is due to the small size of individual platelets and tight packing of platelets within aggregates, resulting in optical opacity. Objectives To address this, we investigated methods for performing super-resolution microscopy and image analysis on aggregates of platelets to describe their morphology. Methods We applied expansion microscopy and custom analysis workflows to extract quantitative information on the structure of platelet aggregates. Results We demonstrate that expansion microscopy applied to platelet aggregates, reveals multi-scale information about their structure. We produced volumetric images at nanoscale resolution of >700 platelet aggregates stained for cytoskeletal and membrane components under normal conditions and following cytoskeletal disruption. We demonstrate our custom analysis workflow provides quantitative description of platelet numbers, volumes and morphology within entire platelet aggregates. Additionally, we quantitatively describe subcellular organisation of F-actin. By comparing these measurements following treatment with the actin inhibitors, cytochalasin D and latrunculin A, we can robustly detect structural disruptions in platelet aggregates. Conclusions Together these data provide a workflow to qualitatively and quantitatively describe the architecture of platelet aggregates at a range of scales (whole aggregates down to sub-cellular features within individual platelets). This provides an important tool for analysis of platelet aggregates and thrombi in conditions such as haemostasis, immunothrombosis and cardiovascular disease.

In the era of Internet, service-oriented development becomes a popular software development paradigm for developing large-scale systems and cloud apps. Followed by this new emerging paradigm, functions would be designed and developed as components, deployed separately and provided as services for integration. In generally, experienced developers tend to introduce some reusable distributed service frameworks in their projects. These frameworks are usually developed based on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and take charge of Remote Procedure Call (RPC), distributed service collaboration, remote service communication and other common duties. It has been proved that these distributed service frameworks are a kind of effective software infrastructures to facilitate development. However, in large-scale cloud ecosystems development, chaos might occur if interdependent remote services composed together to enable cloud services and complex systems. Towards this problem, this paper proposes a novel framework developed by leveraging a platform as a unified access gateway of remote services for different cloud services in the ecosystem. Experimental results show that the framework could effectively reduce the development difficulty of the large-scale cloud ecosystems, and improve the performance of the developed systems.

The growing number of Web pages on the Internet introduces a need to combine and integrate information from HTML tables of different Web pages that contain similar information into a single Web page, especially information from the same domain of interest. This paper presents an approach of HTML table integration by combining several existing methods that are proved to solve different issues in the integration processes. The integration of HTML table consists of three phases: (1) extraction of the structure of the tables; (2) integration of the tables' schema; (3) integration of the data values. To solve the conflicts in semantics and naming in the tables schema, domain-ontology is used. To improve quality of integration of data values in the tables, the vector space model is used to check the duplications of data values. As the integration result, a single HTML table is obtained. The approach is implemented on an engine built using Phyton. Results of the experiment shows that the engine can successfully integrate two HTML tables into single table.

This work presents a new version of the salp swarm optimizer (SSA), called "mSSA," that uses complex mathematical expressions to dynamically manipulate the crucial control parameter (c1) during optimization. These expressions are carefully designed to modulate the shift in search strategy from exploratory to exploitative, improving the flexibility and speed of convergence of the algorithm. To evaluate the performance of the developed mSSA variants, a thorough examination is carried out on twenty-three benchmark test functions alongside their application to the complex task of software module classification. The process of classifying defective software modules involves developing a multilayer perceptron (MLP) classifier that is suited to the particular complexity and heterogeneity of the task. Selecting the best optimizer is made easier by systematically evaluating the different mSSA versions as MLP classifier trainers. Based on metrics like classification accuracy, convergence speed, and avoidance of local minima, a comparative analysis in opposition to six previously published metaheuristic optimizers shows that mSSA3, when combined with the developed MLP classifier, outperforms both other mSSA variations and state-of-the-art metaheuristic optimizers in terms of overall performance. The excellent classification accuracy, swift convergence, and ability to avoid local minima of mSSA3 highlight its superiority and establish it as a cutting-edge method in the application of metaheuristic algorithms. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

The manufacturing industry is constantly seeking innovative solutions to optimize machining processes. However, there is a lack of efficient digital platforms that fully meet the flexibility, service composition, and affordability needs of the manufacturing industry, in particular for small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs). This paper introduces the OptiTwin platform, a novel data-driven system designed to enhance machining process optimization for SMEs. The OptiTwin platform was developed with a focus on data acquisition, management, and analysis based on data driven models. The functionalities of the platform were validated through a drilling use case at Mondragon University's high-performance machining laboratory, demonstrating its effectiveness in real-time tool condition monitoring. The results showcase the potential of OptiTwin in optimizing machining processes and empowering SMEs with data-driven insights for enhanced productivity and quality assurance.
