With the rapid development of technology and the proliferation of uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), there is an immediate need for security solutions. Toward this end, we propose the use of a multi-robot system for autonomous and cooperative counter-UAS missions. In this paper, we present the design of the hardware and software components of different complementary robotic platforms: a mobile uncrewed ground vehicle (UGV) equipped with a LiDAR sensor, an uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) with a gimbal-mounted stereo camera for air-to-air inspections, and a UAV with a capture mechanism equipped with radars and camera. Our proposed system features 1) scalability to larger areas due to the distributed approach and online processing, 2) long-term cooperative missions, and 3) complementary multimodal perception for the detection of multirotor UAVs. In field experiments, we demonstrate the integration of all subsystems in accomplishing a counter-UAS task within an unstructured environment. The obtained results confirm the promising direction of using multi-robot and multi-modal systems for C-UAS.

Prediction of subsurface oil reservoir pressure are critical to hydrocarbon production. However, the accurate pressure estimation faces great challenges due to the complexity and uncertainty of reservoir. The underground seepage flow and petrophysical parameters (permeability and porosity) are important but difficult to measure in oilfield. Deep learning methods have been successfully used in reservoir engineering and oil & gas production process. In this study, the effective but inaccessible subsurface seepage fields are not used, only the spatial coordinates and temporal information are selected as model input to predict reservoir pressure. A stacked GRU-based deep learning model is proposed to map the relationship between spatio-temporal data and reservoir pressure. The proposed deep learning method is verified by using a three-dimensional reservoir model, and compared with commonly-used methods. The results show that the stacked GRU model has a better performance and higher accuracy than other deep learning or machine learning methods in pressure prediction.

control of systems with operating condition-dependent dynamics, including control moment gyroscopes, often requires operating condition-dependent controllers to achieve high control performance. The aim of this paper is to develop a frequency response data-driven linear parameter-varying control design approach for single-input single-output systems, which allows improved performance for a control moment gyroscope. A stability theory using closed-loop frequency response function data is developed, which is subsequently used in a synthesis procedure that guarantees local stability and performance. Leukemia is a kind of blood cancer that damages the cells in the blood and bone marrow of the human *** produces cancerous blood cells that disturb the human’s immune system and significantly affect bone marrow’s production ability to effectively create different types of blood cells like red blood cells(RBCs)and white blood cells(WBC),and *** can be diagnosed manually by taking a complete blood count test of the patient’s blood,from which medical professionals can investigate the signs of leukemia ***,two other methods,microscopic inspection of blood smears and bone marrow aspiration,are also utilized while examining the patient for ***,all these methods are labor-intensive,slow,inaccurate,and require a lot of human experience and *** authors have proposed automated detection systems for leukemia diagnosis to overcome these *** have deployed digital image processing and machine learning algorithms to classify the cells into normal and blast ***,these systems are more efficient,reliable,and fast than previous manual diagnosing ***,more work is required to classify leukemia-affected cells due to the complex characteristics of blood images and leukemia cells having much intra-class variability and inter-class *** this paper,we have proposed a robust automated system to diagnose leukemia and its *** have classified ALL into its sub-types based on FAB classification,i.e.,L1,L2,and L3 types with better *** have achieved 96.06%accuracy for subtypes classification,which is better when compared with the state-of-the-art methodologies.

With the increasing penetration of renewable energy resources(RESs), the uncertainties of volatile renewable generations significantly affect the power system operation. Such uncertainties are usually modeled as stochastic variables obeying specific distributions by neglecting the temporal correlations. Conventional approaches to hedge the negative effects caused by such uncertainties are thus hard to pursue a trade-off between computation efficiency and optimality. As an alternative, the theory of stochastic process can naturally model temporal correlation in closed forms. Attracted by this feature, our research group has been conducting thorough researches in the past decade to introduce stochastic processes within renewable power systems. This paper summarizes our works from the perspective of both the frequency domain and the time domain, provides the tools for the analysis and control of power systems under a unified framework of stochastic processes, and discusses the underlying reasons that stochastic process-based approaches can perform better than conventional approaches on both computational efficiency and optimality. These work may shed a new light on the research of analysis, control and operation of renewable power ***, this paper outlooks the theoretic developments of stochastic processes in future’s renewable power systems.

This article studies stochastic relative phase stability, i.e., stochastic phase-cohesiveness, of discrete-time phase-coupled oscillators. Stochastic phase-cohesiveness in two types of networks is studied. First, we consider oscillators coupled with 2π-periodic odd functions over underlying undirected graphs subject to both multiplicative and additive stochastic uncertainties. We prove stochastic phase-cohesiveness of the network with respect to two specific, namely in-phase and anti-phase, sets by deriving sufficient coupling conditions. We show the dependency of these conditions on the size of the mean values of additive and multiplicative uncertainties, as well as the sign of the mean values of multiplicative uncertainties. Furthermore, we discuss the results under a relaxation of the odd property of the coupling function. Second, we study an uncertain network in which the multiplicative uncertainties are governed by the Bernoulli process representing the well-known Erdös-Rényi network. We assume constant exogenous frequencies and derive sufficient conditions for achieving both stochastic phase-cohesive and phase-locked solutions, i.e., stochastic phase-cohesiveness with respect to the origin. For the latter case, where identical exogenous frequencies are assumed, we prove that any positive probability of connectivity leads to phase-locking. Thorough analyses are provided, and insights obtained from stochastic analysis are discussed, along with numerical simulations to validate the analytical results. © 2021, CC BY.

This work proposes a novel 2-D formation control scheme for acyclic triangulated directed graphs (a class of minimally acyclic persistent graphs) based on bipolar coordinates with (almost) global convergence to the desired shape. Prescribed performance control is employed to devise a decentralized control law that avoids singularities and introduces robustness against external disturbances while ensuring predefined transient and steady-state performance for the closed-loop system. Furthermore, it is shown that the proposed formation control scheme can handle formation maneuvering, scaling, and orientation specifications simultaneously. Additionally, the proposed control law is implementable in agents' arbitrarily oriented local coordinate frames using only low-cost onboard vision sensors, which are favorable for practical applications. Asynchronous optimization algorithms are at the core of modern machine learning and resource allocation systems. However, most convergence results consider bounded information delays and several important algorithms lack guarantees when they operate under total asynchrony. In this paper, we derive explicit convergence rates for the proximal incremental aggregated gradient (PIAG) and the asynchronous block-coordinate descent (Async-BCD) methods under a specific model of total asynchrony, and show that the derived rates are order-optimal. The convergence bounds provide an insightful understanding of how the growth rate of the delays deteriorates the convergence times of the algorithms. Emerging vehicular systems with increasing proportions of automated components present opportunities for optimal control to mitigate congestion and increase efficiency. There has been a recent interest in applying deep reinforcement learning (DRL) to these nonlinear dynamical systems for the automatic design of effective control strategies. Despite conceptual advantages of DRL being model-free, studies typically nonetheless rely on training setups that are painstakingly specialized to specific vehicular systems. This is a key challenge to efficient analysis of diverse vehicular and mobility systems. To this end, this article contributes a streamlined methodology for vehicular microsimulation and discovers high performance control strategies with minimal manual design. A variable-agent, multi-task approach is presented for optimization of vehicular Partially Observed Markov decision Processes. The methodology is experimentally validated on mixed autonomy traffic systems, where fractions of vehicles are automated;empirical improvement, typically 15-60% over a human driving baseline, is observed in all configurations of six diverse open or closed traffic systems. The study reveals numerous emergent behaviors resembling wave mitigation, traffic signaling, and ramp metering. Finally, the emergent behaviors are analyzed to produce interpretable control strategies, which are validated against the learned control strategies. © 2022, CC BY.
