The internet became a common communication platform for many people. However, information transmission is not secure, and there is a high probability of copying and altering the information easily. In the public network, transmitting sensitive or private information needs some kind of protection. Unless a secure channel is utilized for the transmission. Hiding the information is one of the efficient techniques that provides a solution for transmitting confidential data over communication channels. These techniques should meet various application requirements such as high robustness against attacks, real-time, and high hiding capacity. Generally, information-hiding techniques suffer from many challenges. This paper provides an insight into these techniques, their applications, and challenges to fill the gap of missing such an overview.

The Raman gain coefficient, the attenuations at signal and pump wavelengths and the refractive indices of both core and cladding of silica doped Germania optical fiber are functions of the Germania ratio, temperature and wavelengths. The Raman amplifier gain increases with Germania ratio but it decreases with temperature. Also, Raman gain either increases or decreases with signal wavelength. As the fiber core radius increases, the Raman gain decreases. The gain distribution through the amplifier length of dual pumps with power divided ratio (S=0.5) is better than that for the forward pump amplifier and the backward pump amplifier. The forward pump has a maximized gain but the backward pump has a minimized gain, while the dual pumps have both the maximum and minimized gains. The final amplifier gain for the three kinds of pumps with the same pump power (Pp) is equally. The pump wavelength (λp=1.4553μm) gives the biggest Raman gain at the center of wideband signal wavelength (λs=1.50 to 1.60μm). With λp =1.48μm, the gain increases with λs until λs=1.57μm and after that the gain decreases with λs and so with the above three kinds of pumps, gain fluctuations over the band wavelength of signal. Vision device is a critical component of fruit harvesting mobile robot which is designed for recognizing and harvesting of tomato fruits. The system of vision device of the moving robot, for a dedicated path identification with the use of colour detection algorithms and contour detection algorithms could be stated as an additional usage of the image-based technology. When the robot operates in real life, varying environmental parameters would not affect its activity, since the robot will be functioning mainly indoors, specifically in a greenhouse. Robust fruit segmentation algorithms for the visual system and the fruit plucking mechanism using a readymade robot arm with a soft gripper where it operates with basic hardware components like motors, controlled by a microcontroller with the intervention of kinematic theories, is being used with the goal of collecting fruit objects efficiently in the natural world. Plucking only the ripe and healthy object fruit without damaging both the fruit and the tree is the intended task of the system. The aim is to reduce human effort by promoting automation concepts in agriculture in developing countries like Sri Lanka with great potential, where agriculture plays a vital role in the development of the economy while indoor plantation and harvesting mechanism are also being developing to cater to the economy of the country as well. The way that this system is implemented will be discussed in this paper. © 2020 IEEE.

Brain computer interface (BCI)-based virtual environment control has found broad applications in solving and pursuing factual healthcare issues concerning efficiency, safety, and costs. In this technical paper, an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) robot with a simulator-equipped BCI system was utilized. The Gazebo simulator was employed to develop a simulated setting. The software CitySim World allowed rendering the simulated milieu more down-to-earth. A non-invasive electroencephalogram (EEG)-based BCI was used to follow the brain signals and extract the P300 component, a kind of simultaneous BCI controlling procedure for safe, fast, and inexpensive implementation. This UGV control system using human brain activity can be beneficial for the real UGV platform control. It enables the discovery of the probable errors in the physical implementation. All the steps implementing our BCI system were appropriately provided (data acquisition system, user interface design, BCI data architecture, ROS/ robot Jackal, and implementation and tests). Furthermore, the project implementation and some solutions to possible issues were posed. The project outcomes were assessed by employing BCI in a simulation; before implementing real-time, to determine errors and resolve the validity of the project scope.

The field of research known as 'parallel processing' examines architectural and algorithmic methods for increasing the efficiency and other desirable qualities (such as cost-effectiveness and reliability) of computers by exploiting many forms of concurrency. The development of multi-core CPUs has opened the door to novel strategies for boosting system performance via parallelism. Increasing the number of concurrent threads greatly affects the time cost. While increased parallelism might reduce calculation time, the associated synchronization costs would likely be prohibitive for most applications. In this article, we'll go through the first half of the process, which involves gathering requirements and designing a prototype;the second half, which involves monitoring and managing a program that can run on a wide range of multicore system architectures, including those with (2, 4, and 8 CPUs). A shared-memory parallel processing method was proposed and built to show off the system's full potential. The implications of multi-core systems on overall program execution time and parallel processing in shared-memory systems provide the backbone of this investigation. © 2022 IEEE.

Tomato is a one of the most popular produced and extensively consumed vegetables in the world. Typical agricultural systems make extensive use of human labor which is more costly and less effective. This research explores the minimization of human labor through automation. The diseases infected by tomato plants are hard to detect. Identifying these diseases in advance would save the cultivation of the disease from spreading, thereby saving the crop. It is also a difficult task to recognize the ripe harvest and experienced labor is required. The efficiency of the harvesting method will be increased by automating the identification process of ripened fruits. Manually picking tomatoes can cause some harm to the fruits during plucking due to inconsistencies in human labor. Such damage will be reduced through a better implemented robotic scheme. This paper presents the development of autonomous system for tomato harvesting and disease detection. © 2021 IEEE.

An analysis of the enrollment, students participating on tasks or quizzes, drop-out rate and certifications requests have been done.

The ever increasing demand for massive connectivity, combined with the specific characteristics of machinegenerated wireless traffic, is pushing the existing solutions for device registration and data transfer beyond their operational limits. In this paper, we target specifically the 3GPP 5G New Radio random access channel, proposing some enhancements inspired by recent research results in the field of unsourced multiple access (UMAC). Aiming to enable massive grant-free connectivity for large machine-type and Internet of things terminals, we focus on modifications of the two-step random access procedures originally introduced in 3GPP Release 16. By means of simulations, we show that remarkable gains in both energy and spectral efficiency can be attained while retaining a strong resemblance to the legacy protocol.
