Ground anchoring is a popular method to stabilize the slope. It is essential for stability evaluation to measure the tension value of anchor from installed load cell. In this paper, a wireless anchor load measuring system is proposed for continuously on-site slope stability monitoring. Each anchor load cell is connected to a MCU-based acquisition unit and become a wireless IoT end-device. This system is scalable so the sensor dep.oyment will be much more flexible than that in conventional data acquisition system. The excitation circuit, signal amplification and analog-to-digital conversion are completed by a small-size device next to the anchor so that very low-noise result can be obtained. Each measurement consumes less than 10mA•s so this device can be drive only by a 55mm∗70mm∗40mm solar power module. Verified by almost 3-year's on-site test, it is confirmed the proposed monitoring system can continuously capture and send one measurement per minute to the cloud server without any other electric power. The experimental and on-site test results show the practicability of proposed system and its reliability of long-term measurement. It has very high application potential on real-time slope stability monitoring by collecting and analyzing the load values of all installed anchors. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Personal computers and the Internet are used in different areas and are easier to use. Most data is easy to transmit and duplicate in digital format, and being tampered with and stolen easily leads to issues for content owners and service providers. The Paper describes a secure (tampering-resistant) method for watermarking images for protection and authentication and digital media like audio, video, and multimedia data, and a combination of singular value decomposition (SVD) and Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) for insertion watermark by MATLAB to increase accuracy, simplicity, and flexibility Readability, secure robustness, and imperceptibility the visibility of the image. The proposed algorithm consists of three main steps: Firstly, we decomposed the original image into four sub-bands and the original watermark. Secondly, embed the watermark in the LL sub-band by replacing the singular value for the watermark. Finally, embed a watermark in the other three sub-bands by adding LL values for a watermark in each sub-band in the original image.

We apply the chaos supremacy of laser chaos system to the high stabilization of THz waves. Stability was demonstrated by down converting the optical beats between laser longitudinal modes in the THz domain to the radio frequency domain and comparing a conventional free running CW laser diode to a chaotically oscillating laser diode. Because of their exceptional stability, chaotically oscillating lasers are attractive options for optical pump sources in terahertz time-domain spectroscopy systems.

Deep learning (DL), a relatively recent AI technique, has been successfully applied to the problem of automated modulation categorization (AMC), with promising results. An essential part of developing the spectrum-sensing capabilities needed by software-defined radio is carrying out radio signal classification jobs, which we did in this research by introducing a better deep neural architecture. Different detection techniques were utilized in the literature; however, DL neural networks are recently utilized in this field. Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) which is one variation of the RNN network, and other techniques are some of the employed DL architectures in the field of AMC. In this paper, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model has been built to automatically classify ten-modulation formats correctly. The suggested CNN network is constructed mainly of six-Convolutional layers. The overall number of trainable parameters in the proposed network is 1,757,962. Thus, the network accuracy, which was achieved during the training reached more than 90%. Python programming packages have been used to implement the suggested approach using *** platform, which provides wide-range of facilities.

Recent studies have illustrated that social networks are valuable sources of information which can be used for various purposes. In recommender systems, researchers have been motivated to utilize social information not only to enhance the prediction accuracy, but also to address the data sparseness challenges such as cold start problem. In this paper, we propose a social memory-based Collaborative Filtering (CF) approach and examine the impact of integrating social ties on both accuracy and prediction coverage. A simple learning method is used to tune the contribution of social information, in the proposed similarity measure, as a weight parameter. We compared our experimental results with several state-of-the-art memory-based and model-based CF approaches using Epinions dataset to investigate the performance of our method in extreme sparsity of real-world data. Results show that our approach provide high accuracy as well as reasonable prediction coverage comparing with other methods. © 2019 IEEE.

The logico-pluralist LOGIKEY knowledge engineering methodology and framework is applied to the modelling of a theory of legal balancing in which legal knowledge (cases and laws) is encoded by utilising context-dep.ndent value preferences. The theory obtained is then used to formalise, automatically evaluate, and reconstruct illustrative property law cases (involving appropriation of wild animals) within the Isabelle/HOL proof assistant system, illustrating how LOGIKEY can harness interactive and automated theorem proving technology to provide a testbed for the development and formal verification of legal domain-specific languages and theories. CGAN-ECT: TOMOGRAPHY IMAGE RECONSTRUCTION FROM ELECTRICAL CAPACITANCE MEASUREMENTS USING CGANS

Due to the rapid growth of Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) applications in several industrial fields, there is a crucial need for developing high quality, yet fast, methodologies of image reconstruction from raw capacitance measurements. Deep learning, as an effective non-linear mapping tool for complicated functions, has been going viral in many fields including electrical tomography. In this paper, we propose a Conditional Generative Adversarial Network (CGAN) model for reconstructing ECT images from capacitance measurements. The initial image of the CGAN model is constructed from the capacitance measurement. To our knowledge, this is the first time to represent the capacitance measurements in an image form. We have created a new massive ECT dataset of 320K synthetic image-measurements pairs for training, and testing the proposed model. The feasibility and generalization ability of the proposed CGAN-ECT model are evaluated using testing dataset, contaminated data and flow patterns that are not exposed to the model during the training phase. The evaluation results prove that the proposed CGAN-ECT model can efficiently create more accurate ECT images than traditional and other deep learning-based image reconstruction algorithms. CGAN-ECT achieved an average image correlation coefficient of more than 99.3% and an average relative image error about 0.07. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Two years ago, Meta was born, accompanied by the announcement of the Metaverse. The Metaverse would be a collection of 3D immersive ecosystems for people’s socialization. This innovative idea should allow one to live in the Metaverse as in real life without physical barriers. Attending shows, concerts, virtual travel, and caring for one’s health or education should be possible. In sum, a new marketplace is born. Amid such newness, the question of how businesses may benefit from the Metaverse arises. Albeit tech businesses must be comfortable and adapted to the potentialities of the new marketplace, the entrance of the low-techs may be more problematic. The study brings together a panel of academic experts to reflect on these questions. They agree that there is a myriad of potentialities in the new marketplace, not only for B2C but also for B2B. Low-techs may be less adapted to benefit from the Metaverse. A following-the-wave strategy must be avoided. On the contrary, investing in understanding the new paradigm and careful planning is essential. The Metaverse has no physical barriers, which tend to limit low-techs’ actions. Their nonexistence creates new opportunities and must be where customers are, after all. The Metaverse, however, still needs development to gain critical mass. Hardware easy to use, its cost, speedy and cheap Internet, and mainly, trustable and recognized currencies are still required. The field of research known as “parallel processing” examines architectural and algorithmic methods for increasing the efficiency and other desirable qualities (such as cost-effectiveness and reliability) of computers by exploiting many forms of concurrency. The development of multi-core CPUs has opened the door to novel strategies for boosting system performance via parallelism. Increasing the number of concurrent threads greatly affects the time cost. While increased parallelism might reduce calculation time, the associated synchronization costs would likely be prohibitive for most applications. In this article, we'll go through the first half of the process, which involves gathering requirements and designing a prototype; the second half, which involves monitoring and managing a program that can run on a wide range of multicore system architectures, including those with (2, 4, and 8 CPUs). A shared-memory parallel processing method was proposed and built to show off the system's full potential. The implications of multi-core systems on overall program execution time and parallel processing in shared-memory systems provide the backbone of this investigation.

Knowledge computation tasks are often infeasible for large data sets. This is in particular true when deriving knowledge bases in formal concept analysis (FCA). Hence, it is essential to come up with techniques to cope with this problem. Many successful methods are based on random processes to reduce the size of the investigated data set. This, however, makes them hardly interpretable with respect to the discovered knowledge. Other approaches restrict themselves to highly supported subsets and omit rare and interesting patterns. An essentially different approach is used in network science, called k-cores. These are able to reflect rare patterns if they are well connected in the data set. In this work, we study k-cores in the realm of FCA by exploiting the natural correspondence to bi-partite graphs.
