We tackle the problem of a set of agents achieving resilient consensus in the presence of attacked agents. We present a discrete-time reputation-based consensus algorithm for synchronous and asynchronous networks by developing a local strategy where, at each time, each agent assigns a reputation (between zero and one) to each neighbor. The reputation is then used to weigh the neighbors' values in the update of its state. Under mild assumptions, we show that: (i) the proposed method converges exponentially to the consensus of the regular agents;(ii) if a regular agent identifies a neighbor as an attacked node, then it is indeed an attacked node;(iii) if the consensus value of the normal nodes differs from that of any of the attacked nodes' values, then the reputation that a regular agent assigns to the attacked neighbors goes to zero. Further, we extend our method to achieve resilience in the scenarios where there are noisy nodes, dynamic networks and stochastic node selection. Finally, we illustrate our algorithm with several examples, and we delineate some attacking scenarios that can be dealt by the current proposal but not by the state-of-the-art approaches. Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures (ATSPMs) are a driving force to furnish traffic signal controllers with high-solution information logging abilities and use this data to produce performance measures. These measures enable traffic engineers to improve activities just as to keep up and work their frameworks in a protected and effective way. Despite the fact that these measures have changed the manner in which that administrators deal with their frameworks, a few weaknesses of the instrument are an absence of information quality control and the degree of assets required to appropriately utilize the apparatus for framework-wide administration. In this paper we will determine the level of In-Service Performance Evaluation (ISPE), which can be performed while using the existing database of roadside features, such as highway and traffic data files with maintenance records, roadside feature inventory data, and crash data with respect to existing roadside hardware categories. © 2019 IEEE.

Electricity is one of the basic needs in the era of technological development, where all equipment must use electricity to operate such as computer, so that it requires a system that can monitor power consumption at computer cluster. To monitoring power consumption using WCS1800 to current sensor and microcontroller Atmega32 to data sensor process, and serial communication to send data to display at personal computer. From test system having two result, first is power consumption at computer cluster starting, where current value range is 0 to 38A with power consumption is 0 to 8360 watt. And second is power consumtion at computer cluster execution progran, current value is 27 to 40 A, with power consumption 5940 to 8800 watt. From this system has been design, the power consumption at computer cluster can be monitored and known value of energy consumption. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Brain function is substantially linked to the highly organized structure of neuronal networks. The structures of in vitro assembled neuronal circuits often vary between samples and change over time, making it challenging to reliably record network functional output and link it to network structure. Therefore, engineering neuronal structures with predefined geometry and reproducible functional features is essential to robustly model in vivo neuronal circuits. Here, we engineered thin microchannel devices to assemble 2D and 3D modular networks. The microchannel devices were coupled with a multi-electrode array (MEA) electrophysiology system to enable long-term electrophysiology recordings from microengineered circuits. Each network consisted of 64 modules connected to their adjacent modules by micron-sized channels. The microstructures physically confined neurons to the recording electrodes, which significantly improved the efficiency of electrophysiology readout. In addition, the microstructures maintained the modular network structure for weeks. Modular circuits within microfluidic devices showed consistent spatial patterns of activity over weeks, which was lacking in the randomly formed circuits. The number of physical connections per module was shown to influence the measured activity and functional connectivity parameters, which represents the impact of network structure on its functional output. We show that microengineered 3D modular networks with profound activity and higher number of functional connections recapitulate key functional features of developing cortex. Structurally and functionally stable 2D and 3D networks mimic the modular architecture of brain circuits and provide a robust and reproducible in vitro microphysiological system for basic and translational neuroscience research. © 2024, The Authors. This paper contains an analysis of the LockerGoga ransomware that was used in the range of targeted cyberattacks in the first half of 2019 against Norsk Hydra-A world top 5 aluminum manufacturer, as well as the US chemical enterprises Hexion, and Momentive-Those companies are only the tip of the iceberg that reported the attack to the public. The ransomware was executed by attackers from inside a corporate network to encrypt the data on enterprise servers and, thus, taking down the information control systems. The intruders asked for a ransom to release a master key and decryption tool that can be used to decrypt the affected files. The purpose of the analysis is to find out tactics and techniques used by the LockerGoga ransomware during the cryptolocker attack as well as an encryption model to answer the question if the encrypted files can be decrypted with or without paying a ransom. The scientific novelty of the paper lies in an analysis methodology that is based on various reverse engineering techniques such as multi-process debugging and using open source code of a cryptographic library to find out a ransomware encryption model. © 2019 IEEE.

The term Steganography refers to the science that deals with hiding the secret messages (text or anything else) inside an original cover file of the text, audio, video or image. The need for modern methods is to keep the secret information and protected it with the increasing danger of outside hackers. Steganography seems to be a good option to increase information security by hiding them. This paper is a review of the past year's methods used in audio steganography. Audio steganography is a method to hide a secret message (sound or anything else) in an audio cover file, in varied ways. It is a proposal for future actions. These methods used different types of digital audio such as WAV, MP3 or AU. The result showed that most of the studies used LSB to embed secret messages, but with other encryption-system for strength LSB family. Others Modified LSB to produce an enhanced method. In general, most studies concentrate on common methods or their combination to develop new efficient methods. Most of the studies had a lack in all or some measures of invisibility and robustness. This concept came after authors' interesting in cryptography more than steganography. This study recommended maintaining all measures to enable future studies to determine which steganography method is most effective. © 2019 IEEE.

New paths to increase the sensing performance of plasmonic sensors have been reported in recent years. There are several methodologies to achieve such purpose, namely by optimizing the nanostructure, nanomaterial and even the sensing platform. Recently the use nanoparticles over plasmonic thin films have been reported and shown sensitivity enhancement, when compared to a bare thin film. Nevertheless, a nanomaterial combination between NP and thin film has not been studied. In this work it was studied such plasmonic materials in order to optimize not only refractometric sensitivity but also decrease the resultant plasmonic band width. It was found that for Au, Ag and Cu thin films, the dep.sition of plasmonic nanoparticles resulted in an overall refractometric sensitivity and figure of merit (FOM) increase. The larger FOM increase was obtained for the Ag thin film, from 42 to 162 when coupled to Si nanoparticles. The greater sensitivity increase was achieved for a Cu thin film coupled to a Si nanoparticle, with an increase from 1745 to 3230 nm/RIU. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

User dissatisfaction due to buffering pauses during streaming is a significant cost to the system, which we model as a non-decreasing function of the frequency of buffering pause. Minimization of total user dissatisfaction in a multi-channel cellular network leads to a non-convex problem. Utilizing a combinatorial structure in this problem, we first propose a polynomial time joint admission control and channel allocation algorithm which is provably (almost) optimal. This scheme assumes that the base station (BS) knows the multimedia frame statistics of the streams. In a more practical setting, where these statistics are not available a priori at the BS, a learning based scheme with provable guarantees is developed. This learning based scheme has relation to regret minimization in multi-armed bandits with non-i.i.d. and delayed reward (cost). All these algorithms require none to minimal feedback from the user equipment to the base station regarding the states of the media player buffer at the application layer, and hence, are of practical interest. Dynamic rating is a technology which allows loading power lines above their rated limits. More often, dynamic rating is used to transport new power and connect additional generators to the grid using existing infrastructure. However, this study explores the possibility to use dynamic rating for improving the security of supply and assisting fast reconnection of disconnected customers during emergency and fault situations occurring at other lines. DLR allows improving power system reliability during emergency conditions using Optimal Power Flow (OPF), which additionally helps to minimize costs of system operation. Large costs involving investment for new infrastructure and penalties for interruptions in the power supply can be considerably reduced by implementing DLR. Also, DLR can improve the reliability of the system by providing real-time information on the status of power lines. Using Optimal Power Flow ensures that the lines loading, bus voltage magnitudes and angles as well as generation injections are within the acceptable limits as per the utility regulations. Faults are modelled as cases when one of the lines becomes disconnected. The bottlenecks in the system during post-fault situations are identified to determine optimal lines in the system on which DLR could be implemented.
