This study presents an AI-driven strategy for enhancing decision-making in healthcare applications by assessing and managing potential risks through the analysis of customer interactions on social media platforms, specifically Twitter. We propose the use of machine learning models to outperform traditional lexical approaches, addressing the complexities inherent in risk detection. Natural language processing methods are employed to efficiently process and analyze textual data, enabling healthcare institutions to make info.med decisions about risk management. By leveraging customer feedback from the X platform, our approach aids in the development of effective healthcare programs by identifying and classifying risks. We create three specialized datasets for risk analysis, risk assessment, and hazard classification to optimize the training and dep.oyment phases. In our case study, which focuses on tweets related to healthcare for US consumers, we find that over 50% of the sample identifies potential risks, with nearly 80% indicating medium levels of risk. Commonly identified risks include financial, operational, and strategic threats. The proposed methodology demonstrates an average accuracy of 82.66% in risk detection, identification, and assessment, confirming its effectiveness in supporting AI-driven decision-making in healthcare application development.

Congestion control has been considered as a principal technology for efficient end-to-end traffic transmission. Previous studies on congestion control are mainly focused on the control of the transmission rate or window size at the host. However, such host-based congestion controls have difficulties on short time-scale variable network conditions and increased host complexity. To address this problem, network-based congestion controls that utilize network info.mation have been considered which determine and control the congestion using the network info.mation. In this paper, we review the network-based congestion control methods.

In this study, a new statistical multiplicative watermark detector in contourlet domain is presented. The contourlet coefficients of images are highly non-Gaussian and a proper distribution to model the statistics of the contourlet coefficients is a heavy-tail Probability Distribution Function (PDF). In this study, a multiplicative watermarking scheme is proposed in the contourlet domain using t location-scale distribution (tLS). Afterward, we used the likelihood ratio decision rule and tLS distribution to design an optimal multiplicative watermark detector. The detector showed higher efficiency than other watermarking schemes in the literature, based on the experimental results, and its robustness against different attacks was verified.

We developed a simple production method of monodisperse cell-sized liposomes by centrifuge-based droplet shooting device (CDSD)1. This device does not require specialized equipment compared to other microfluidic techniques, and furthermore, this device needs a very small volume of encapsulated solutions (0.5-5 μL). We hope that this method will allow to make cell-sized liposomes for a given biological application. © 14CBMS.

Design of the Video Streaming Proxy in High-Speed Train

This paper considers the characteristics of high-speed train in precise timing info.mation, such as arrival time, dep.nding duration on station, traveling time and location of the train, to design a video proxy agent for VoD service in train. Based on the info.mation of current active video streams, a burst pre-fetching scheme in video proxy agent is developed when the high-speed train dep.nds on station. The video data required by the passengers in near future are burst downloaded to the video proxy to release the bandwidth constrain during the train traveling. The most of playback video data can be provided by the video proxy agent during the train traveling. The burst pre-fetching scheme increases the system performance and video playback quality. The simulation result reveals that the proposed scheme has better results in term of system capacity and the amount of missed deadline data compared with other schemes.

With the wide acceptance and development of the Internet, it is trend to integrate all of services and devices into Internet. At the same time, the fast development of communication technology that is evolved from narrowband dial-up networks to current broadband networks, from fixed PSTN phone to mobile phone and from wired network to wireless network. In the foreseeable future, the communication will be converged to IP centric networks to come up pervasive/ubiquitous network environments. In this paper, the functions of SIP protocol, video/audio codec, and video/audio streaming are integrated to realize a video/audio phone system in embedded platform. Based on the multi-thread environment, the modules of motion JPEG, SIP signaling protocol, and video/audio streaming are designed to come out a SIP-based video/audio streaming system. The system can be applied to the applications of remote surveillance, digital door phone, interphone, and Internet phone.

With the development of Cloud computing, more and more Cloud systems are designed and dep.oyed to solve large-scale problem in the area of business and science engineering. However, few efforts are taken to address the issue of performance evaluation in Cloud environments. In this paper, we present an integrated performance evaluation middleware, which is aiming to provide users and researchers an easy-to-use toolkit to evaluate their Cloud system's runtime performance, or compare the performance when different resource management policy and task scheduling algorithms are taken into account. Massive experiments are conducted to investigate the effectiveness of the proposed system, and the results indicate that its configurable feature is very useful when users are conducting performance comparing under different conditions. © 2012 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. -All rights reserved.

This paper aimed at constructing a two-tier on-line testing system. Questions were designed based on integration of concept cartoons and multimedia in hopes that the unexplainable contents of an object can be appropriately represented and interpreted through the means of concept cartoons, and that student's understanding of the questions and interests in test taking can be effectively enhanced through pictorial presentation of concept cartoons. This system was to construct a testing tool through which tests were conducted to explore third graders' magnetism misconception. The outcomes indicated that incorporation of concept cartoons in multimedia on-line testing can improve accuracy than traditional written test on paper. During the study, 14 magnetism misconceptions entertained by the pupils were identified and classified. Further, the on-line testing tool can attain satisfactory results in system utilization, animation design, attracting students' attention and enhancing their understanding of the questions. It demonstrated the fact that integration of concept cartoons with two-tier on-line testing can improve question comprehension and students' attention. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Following with the advancements in digitization technology and broadband communication technology, video streaming service has become an essential one for next generation Internet. When transmitting compressed video frames across the Internet, however, one of the main challenges is packet error/loss. High coding dep.ndencies among video frames suffer from vulnerability to packet loss, which impacts the playback quality. Losing an important frame may cause a set of frames loss or damage as well. In this paper, we investigate different mechanism to decide video frames important level. According to the frame important level, we formulate the unequal frame protection (UEP) problem into optimal resource allocation problem to maximize the playback quality in client. The simulation results reveal that the proposed optimal resource allocation has better performance improvement than other frame protection schemes in term of playback quality under different bit error rate. © 2011 IEEE.
