Various approaches to control aeroelastic wing section with structural nonlinearity emerged in the last years. One of the approaches is based on the Tensor Product (TP) model transformation and the feasibility test of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) under the Parallel Distributed Compensation framework. The main contribution of this paper is that it extends the previously established qLPV model of the aeroelastic wing section with nonlinear friction. It is proven that the extended model can be exactly described after TP type polytopic decomposition. The qLPV model of the aeroelastic wing section with Coulomb friction was transformed to TP type polytopic model form for which LMI based controller was designed. The designed controller is compared to controllers of other authors dealing with the same problem.

Kim et al. improved the histogram-shifting embedding technique by exploring the spatial correlation between pixels. The original image had to be partitioned into sub-images. The differences between the sub-images were then calculated for use in hiding data. However after embedding, larger image damage would be impacted by the resulting difference histogram for which an empty bin exists at -1. In this paper, we propose a new shifting method to resolve the problem which results in higher PSNR. Experimental results showed that the proposed method can effectively increase image quality, avoid unnecessary damage and the hidden secret is not easily detected from the stego media.

In this paper, we study the problem of constructing minimum cost group multicast trees with bandwidth reservations. Our algorithm uses multiple candidate paths to select a path from source to each destination member in each multicast tree construction. We show that our proposed algorithm performs better in terms of total tree cost for real life networks over well-known algorithm GKMB. The enhancement is up to about 10% similar to 25% in terms of normalized surcharge for the GKMB tree cost.

We have proposed and evaluated a novel heuristic algorithm of routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) for scheduled lightpath demands (SLD). Our algorithm is shown here to have a performance gain in terms of the number of wavelengths up to 65.8% compared with the most recently introduced method, TDP_RWA, and works on directed and undirected optical networks. Also, we show the execution time of our proposed method is feasible.
