We analyze Markov impulsive difference model for age structured population divided into three groups under the assumption of perturbations at random time moments. Assuming sufficiently small intervals between changes, we apply the stochastic averaging procedure and construct an ordinary 3-dimensional differential equation for population dynamics in the mean and a linear 3-dimensional stochastic differential equation for deviations from the mean trajectories. This paper contains an analysis of the LockerGoga ransomware that was used in the range of targeted cyberattacks in the first half of 2019 against Norsk Hydra-A world top 5 aluminum manufacturer, as well as the US chemical enterprises Hexion, and Momentive-Those companies are only the tip of the iceberg that reported the attack to the public. The ransomware was executed by attackers from inside a corporate network to encrypt the data on enterprise servers and, thus, taking down the information control systems. The intruders asked for a ransom to release a master key and decryption tool that can be used to decrypt the affected files. The purpose of the analysis is to find out tactics and techniques used by the LockerGoga ransomware during the cryptolocker attack as well as an encryption model to answer the question if the encrypted files can be decrypted with or without paying a ransom. The scientific novelty of the paper lies in an analysis methodology that is based on various reverse engineering techniques such as multi-process debugging and using open source code of a cryptographic library to find out a ransomware encryption model. © 2019 IEEE.

Recent years have seen an increasing interest in providing accurate prediction models for electrical energy consumption. In Smart Grids, energy consumption optimization is critical to enhance power grid reliability, and avoid supply-demand mismatches. Additional economic and environmental benefits can be obtained if a proper and reliable description and forecast of energy absorption is available. This research presents fits for neural network model, and comparative resulting forecasts with those obtained from Box- Jenkins Method. We use time series data of monthly electrical energy consumption, into Basra city (Iraq) from 2007-2016, to perform a comparative. The result of the data analysis show that the proper and efficient model for representing time series data is the multiplicative seasonal model of order: SARIMA (3, 1, 3) × (0, 1, 1). According to this model the Research forecast the monthly electricity consumption for January 2017 to December 2018. As for application, Box-Jenkins Method has given more appropriate forecasts than those given by Back propagation artificial neural network. We used Minitab program in the statistical aspect and Alyuda program in the neural network aspect. © 2018 IEEE.

Recently cloud computing used in a wide range of the applications, to ensure availability of the cloud service many design techniques of fault tolerance have been done. In this paper, proposed approach providing high availability for client cloud request. To achieve this, used load balance, redundancy mechanism and acceptance test to handle fault in service manager as well a checkpoint and load balance used to handle fault in service node also. The proposed approach showed better results in terms of the availability than failover strategies approach, where the comparison was based on the availability equation. © 2018 IEEE.

Several approaches to forecasting agricultural production have been used across the country, but they have focused on information widely detected with technology that was not very successful. Unfortunately, because of many difficulties such as climate variables (50% global fog cover) with limited temporal accuracy, the remotely detected information necessary to predict crop production was often insufficient. As a result of these problems, existing methods of estimating agricultural production are ineffective or out of date. Several efforts have been made to overcome these challenges by combining images with high temporal accuracy but poor geographic detail. On the other hand, it is this kind of situation that is most suitable for extremely large and homogeneous agricultural areas. An innovative theoretical framework has developed that explains this absence of high-quality satellite images. This intelligent method was built around this new theoretical framework, which incorporates its use of something like the energy equation to improve the predictions of multiple cultures. Many producers were contacted and data regarding agricultural production were obtained to validate the results of the smart technology. The excellent reliability of this intelligent method has been shown by a comparative contrast between projected crop yields and actual output in various areas.

—As the Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy Networks (RPL) became the standard for routing in the Internet of Things (IoT) networks, many researchers had investigated the security aspects of this protocol. However, no work (to the best of our knowledge) has investigated the use of the security mechanisms included in the protocol’s standard, due to the fact that there was no implementation for these features in any IoT operating system yet. A partial implementation of RPL’s security mechanisms was presented recently for Contiki operating system (by Perazzo et al.), which provided us with the opportunity to examine RPL’s security mechanisms. In this paper, we investigate the effects and challenges of using RPL’s security mechanisms under common routing attacks. First, a comparison of RPL’s performance, with and without its security mechanisms, under three routing attacks (Blackhole, Selective-Forward, and Neighbor attacks) is conducted using several metrics (e.g., average data packet delivery rate, average data packet delay, average power consumption... etc.) Based on the observations from this comparison, we came with few suggestions that could reduce the effects of such attacks, without having added security mechanisms for RPL. Memristor devices with the Au/Ag/h-BN/Fe structure have been fabricated and characterized. The switching voltages, and other newly-defined parameters extracted, like V 2dmax1 and V 2dmax2 , have been analyzed statistically in an exhaustive manner. The conduction across the memristor can be described well with a Quantum Point Contact (QPC) model that accounts for quantized filamentary conduction. The distributions of set and reset voltages have been proved to be accurately reproduced by using Weibull distributions. We also present an analysis making use of phase-type distributions to characterize the measured data stochasticity.

Data augmentation is being widely used to enrich the datasets and enhance the performance of neural network for classification and detection. However most of the recent works focus only on the augmentation for classification. A technique for detection augmentation by template blending has been introduced in the literature. The limitation of blending technique is an extra polygon shape of each object needed to blend with the scene. In this paper we investigate the effect of the geometric transformations for detection augmentation on the Malaysian Traffic Sign Detection (MTSD) datasets. We propose and investigate a new augmentation framework for object detection datasets and train using faster-rcnn with ZF network as a backbone. We measure the Average Precision (AP) as stated in paper [PASCAL VOC] and show the correlation matrix for each class. Our findings show that data augmentation improving the performance for true positive. However, many false positive also occur but decreased by 19.7% after augmentation. © 2019 The authors and IOS Press. All rights reserved.

Among the manifold wireless technologies recently adopted for indoor localization and tracking, radars based on phased-array transceivers at 60 GHz are gaining momentum. The main advantages of this technology are: high accuracy, good ability to track multiple target with a low computation burden and preservation of privacy. Despite the growing commercial success of low-cost radar platforms, accurate studies to evaluate their tracking performance are not frequent in the literature, the main reasons being the commercial policies that prevent a direct access to the processed data and the difficult calibration of indoor positioning systems under dynamic conditions. This paper aims to fill this gap providing an extensive and scientifically sound performance analysis of one of these sensors (i.e., the System-onChip (SOC) TI IWR6843) and exposing benefits and limitations of 60-GHz mm-wave sensors for people localization and tracking. Multiple experimental results show that the average standard positioning uncertainty is about 30 cm under dynamic conditions. Our study also reveals the critical impact of three parameters, which are not properly documented by the manufacturer. Localization accuracy and robustness are also significantly affected by the risk of delayed and spurious detections. In the paper, a possible mitigation strategy of these anomalies is presented.
