High-Performance Computing (HPC) has been created to improve the quality of Pengantar Komputasi Parallel lectures. HPC consists of two PCs with AMD Ryzen 7 processor connected by high-speed LAN. HPC is used to solve problems that students can't practice Parallel Computing because the computer used is not adequate. So it takes a machine that can used together that has many processors, so the problems encountered are resolved. The results obtained, participants can use more than four processors to solve tree problems directly. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

We analyze Markov impulsive difference model for age structured population divided into three groups under the assumption of perturbations at random time moments. Assuming sufficiently small intervals between changes, we apply the stochastic averaging procedure and construct an ordinary 3-dimensional differential equation for population dynamics in the mean and a linear 3-dimensional stochastic differential equation for deviations from the mean trajectories. The results are applied for modelling of population dynamics using the data on Latvian residents collected by the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia. © 2019 by Institute of Mathematics and Physics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering,Slovak University of technology in Bratislava All rights reserved

Investigating the human mobility patterns is a highly interesting field in the 21th century, and it takes vast attention from multi-disciplinary scientists in physics, economic, social, computer, engineering...etc. dep.nding on the concept that relates between human mobility patterns and their communications. Hence, the necessity for a rich repository of data has emerged. Therefore, the most powerful solution is the usage of GSM network data, which gives millions of Call Details Records gained from urban regions. However, the available data still have shortcomings, because it gives only the indication of spatio-temporal data at only the moment of mobile communication activities. In this chapter, Gama platform development environment of constructing spatially multi agent simulation is used for modeling and simulating the individual reconstructed trajectories. As a result, the individual trajectories revealed the human daily life patterns.

In our everyday lives, we spend more and more time in our vehicles, where we are exposed to growing accident hazards. That is why we are increasingly focusing on security. This is particularly true for electric cars, where the size of the power source and the firewall are not the same as for conventional vehicles. The so-called energy-absorbing zone has a key role during an accident. In the era of modern materials the aluminum foam can works as an energy-absorbing structure. However, the machining of this material is hard at this time. This article attempts to investigate, through Computed Tomography-CT technology, whether the material has a permanent deformation or dimensional variation in the structure of the material can be achieved by the ultrasonic milling process. © 2019 International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO). Memristor devices with the Au/Ag/h-BN/Fe structure have been fabricated and characterized. The switching voltages, and other newly-defined parameters extracted, like V 2dmax1 and V 2dmax2 , have been analyzed statistically in an exhaustive manner. The conduction across the memristor can be described well with a Quantum Point Contact (QPC) model that accounts for quantized filamentary conduction. The distributions of set and reset voltages have been proved to be accurately reproduced by using Weibull distributions. We also present an analysis making use of phase-type distributions to characterize the measured data stochasticity.

Recent years have seen an increasing interest in providing accurate prediction models for electrical energy consumption. In Smart Grids, energy consumption optimization is critical to enhance power grid reliability, and avoid supply-demand mismatches. Additional economic and environmental benefits can be obtained if a proper and reliable description and forecast of energy absorption is available. This research presents fits for neural network model, and comparative resulting forecasts with those obtained from Box- Jenkins Method. We use time series data of monthly electrical energy consumption, into Basra city (Iraq) from 2007-2016, to perform a comparative. The result of the data analysis show that the proper and efficient model for representing time series data is the multiplicative seasonal model of order: SARIMA (3, 1, 3) × (0, 1, 1). According to this model the Research forecast the monthly electricity consumption for January 2017 to December 2018. As for application, Box-Jenkins Method has given more appropriate forecasts than those given by Back propagation artificial neural network. We used Minitab program in the statistical aspect and Alyuda program in the neural network aspect. © 2018 IEEE.

Investigation on the Effect of the Feature Extraction Backbone for Small Object Segmentation using Fully Convolutional Neural Network in Traffic Signs Application

Small objects are widely found in different applications such as traffic signs and to segment those objects make it difficult to extract features due to the small number of pixels. Previous research has been done to show how error prone the semantic segmentation networks to small objects in variance of application such as medical images and remote sensing and how it leads to class imbalance. However, small object segmentation seems to be tricky and making the network struggle. Recently there are small amount of research has been done in the effect of the feature extraction backbone to the small object datasets. In this paper we investigate the effect of different backbone feature extraction such as AlexNet, VGGNet, GoogleNet on an imbalanced small objects dataset after grouping them by shape and colour in the Fully Convolutional Networks (FCN). We measure the performance on PASCAL VOC and Malaysian Traffic Sign Dataset (MTSD) showing the pixel accuracy, mean accuracy per class, mean IoU and frequency weighted IoU for each backbone and FCN. The results show that VGGNet as a backbone with Cross Entropy (CE) combined with Dice Loss (DL) achieves the highest score in mean IoU for imbalanced dataset but not for balanced dataset. However, in the imbalanced dataset major classes have a higher probability to confuse with minor classes due to the class imbalance. In conclusion we investigate different backbone networks with grouped labels dataset in shape and colour and we recommend using VGGNet FCN with CE combined with DL for imbalanced datasets.

The goal of the reported research was to evaluate the machining conditions the magnetizable and non-magnetizable materials by the novel permanent Magnetic Assisted Ball Burnishing (MABB) tool. C45 steel, KO36 austenite steel, AA7075 aluminium and PA6 polymer materials were applied in the experiments. The main aim was to determine the optimal the technological parameters for these materials taking in consideration the hardness and roughness of the surface, too. Taguchi design of experiment methodology was applied in this study to simply look for optimal technology, compared to other kinds of technologies reported in various scientific papers. Surface quality is a complex feature that refers to the micro-geometrical characteristics of the machined surface. It includes roughness and waviness and gives a realistic picture about the top of the surface, while micro hardness and grains structure are especially important on sub-surface level. The results mirrored that all of the tested materials can be burnished by the MABB tool, however, the results from the economical viewpoints are diverse. The MABB tool was mainly designed to reduce the surface roughness but this cold metal forming process has further result like the surface hardening and further conclusions were also drawn that the MABB tool: • capable to reduce the surface of non-magnetizable materials, too, • increases the surface hardness of C45 © 2019 International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO). Data augmentation is being widely used to enrich the datasets and enhance the performance of neural network for classification and detection. However most of the recent works focus only on the augmentation for classification. A technique for detection augmentation by template blending has been introduced in the literature. The limitation of blending technique is an extra polygon shape of each object needed to blend with the scene. In this paper we investigate the effect of the geometric transformations for detection augmentation on the Malaysian Traffic Sign Detection (MTSD) datasets. We propose and investigate a new augmentation framework for object detection datasets and train using faster-rcnn with ZF network as a backbone. We measure the Average Precision (AP) as stated in paper [PASCAL VOC] and show the correlation matrix for each class. Our findings show that data augmentation improving the performance for true positive. However, many false positive also occur but decreased by 19.7% after augmentation. © 2019 The authors and IOS Press. All rights reserved.

Recently cloud computing used in a wide range of the applications, to ensure availability of the cloud service many design techniques of fault tolerance have been done. In this paper, proposed approach providing high availability for client cloud request. To achieve this, used load balance, redundancy mechanism and acceptance test to handle fault in service manager as well a checkpoint and load balance used to handle fault in service node also. The proposed approach showed better results in terms of the availability than failover strategies approach, where the comparison was based on the availability equation. © 2018 IEEE.
