This paper searches into the convergence of such ad-vanced techniques with architectures like DenseNet201, VGG16, InceptionResNetV2, and NasNetMobile. Our focus centers on harnessing deep learning capabilities for the precise detection of eye ailments. Preliminary findings spotlight a notable uplift in diagnostic precision. Among the tested algorithms, the Nas-NetMobile architecture emerged superior, boasting an impressive accuracy rate of 92% on the chosen dataset. Through this work, we extend a significant advancement in the realm of automated eye disease diagnosis, potentially equipping medical professionals with sharper, swifter diagnostic tools. The outcomes presented herein could play a seminal role in sculpting more sophisticated and precise diagnostic approaches within ophthalmology. © 2023 IEEE.

Human Activity Recognition (HAR) is a research area that involves wearable devices integrating inertial and/or physiological sensors to classify human actions and status across various application domains, such as healthcare, sports, industry, and entertainment. However, executing HAR algorithms on remote devices or the cloud can lead to issues such as latency, bandwidth requirements, and energy consumption. Transitioning towards Edge HAR can be a more effective and versatile solution, overcoming the challenges of traditional HAR techniques. We present a novel HAR model for computation on edge devices: we design a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) Deep Learning approach and compare its performance with cloud-computing HAR models. The paper is accompanied by a self-collected dataset. The experiments on this dataset demonstrate that the proposed edge computing model achieves promising results ( $\geq$ 92 %) in terms of Precision, Recall, and Fl-score. Furthermore, the model exhibits significantly reduced latency, with only 117 ms, and utilizes minimal memory, with a peak of 18.8 Kb RAM and 956 Kb Flash memory.

Steganographic embedding is an effective method of protecting information transmitted over an open communication channel. Steganography techniques hide information in digital objects by embedding to make it invisible to an attacker. The most common covers for hiding additional information are multimedia data, in particular digital images. The embedding effectiveness is mainly assessed by the criteria of invisibility and capacity. One of the ways to improve the embedding efficiency is to choose the best location of message bits within the cover object, but it usually takes a long time to iterate through a large number of such embedding options. In this paper, we propose a new approach to finding the best option for steganographic embedding of information into the phase spectrum of the discrete Fourier transform based on the methods of combinatorial generation. The results of the experiments show that the new approach allows us to reduce the best embedding option search time, while the invisibility and capacity indicators remain high. © 2021 IEEE.

Immunotherapy utilizes the potential of the patient's immune system to fight disease. T-lymphocytes have become the central focus of the immune system in the fight against cancer. One of the fundamental studies in immunotherapy is how to accurately identify various types of immune cells. Therefore, the study of immune-related cells will be an important reference for the treatment of COVID19 or other related diseases. In this paper, a series of experiments were conducted with COVID-19 patients as the starting point to design a strategy to identify the important subtypes of CD$4^{+}$T cells. In this paper, an intelligent machine learning algorithm is proposed according to the results of different experiments of linear and nonlinear dimension reduction algorithms, integrating the important characteristics of these two algorithms and improving the performance. Our experimental results show that the algorithm designed based on the front-end experiments can effectively distinguish the important lymphocytes. The proposed algorithm not only improves the performance, but also the dimension reduction procedure keeps the important features of both global and regional data. The experimental results of this paper will be beneficial for the subsequent analysis of the clustering in identifying important subtypes of CD$4^{+}$T cells. Most importantly, this wm significantly improve the procedure of manually integrating and labeling the recorded data after several tedious and monotonous analyses with external software. © 2023 IEEE.

This work introduces a framework for simulating the electrical power consumption of an 8-seater electric aircraft equipped with high-energy-density NMC Lithium-ion cells. We propose an equivalent circuit model (ECM) to capture the thermal and electrical battery behavior. Furthermore, we assess the need for a battery thermal management system (BTMS) by determining heat generation at the cell level and optimize BTMS design to minimize energy consumption over a predefined flight regime. The proposed baseline battery design includes a 304-kWh battery system with BTMS, ensuring failure redundancy through two parallel switched battery banks. Simulation results explore the theoretical flight range without BTMS and reveal advantages in increasing battery capacity under specific conditions. Optimization efforts focus on BTMS design, highlighting the superior performance of water cooling over air cooling. However, the addition of a 9.9 kW water-cooled BTMS results in a 16.5% weight increase (387 kg) compared to no BTMS, reducing the simulated range of the aircraft from 480 km to 410 km. Lastly, we address a heating-induced thermal runaway scenario, demonstrating the robustness of the proposed battery design in preventing thermal runaway.

The ever increasing demand for massive connectivity, combined with the specific characteristics of machinegenerated wireless traffic, is pushing the existing solutions for device registration and data transfer beyond their operational limits. In this paper, we target specifically the 3GPP 5G New Radio random access channel, proposing some enhancements inspired by recent research results in the field of unsourced multiple access (UMAC). Aiming to enable massive grant-free connectivity for large machine-type and Internet of things terminals, we focus on modifications of the two-step random access procedures originally introduced in 3GPP Release 16. By means of simulations, we show that remarkable gains in both energy and spectral efficiency can be attained while retaining a strong resemblance to the legacy protocol. © 2024 IEEE.

This study presents a dipper-throated-based ant colony optimization (DTACO) with the Seasonal Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average with eXogenous factor (SARIMAX) model (DTACO+SARIMAX) to forecast monkeypox cases. The work optimizes the SARIMAX model using grid search cross-validation and fine-tunes its hyperparameters using DTACO to improve prediction accuracy. The suggested model's consistency and accuracy are considerable compared to previous studies. Comparisons with state-of-the-art models validate the proposed model's predictions. DTACO+SARIMAX can be used to control disease and monitor monkeypox. Healthcare organizations and governments can better manage and track the pandemic's course by offering accurate predictions, reducing public panic, and enabling effective pandemic planning. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Wilcoxon signed-rank tests are conducted on the proposed DTACO-SARIMAX model and compared models. © 2023 IEEE.

This article provides an experimental case study of a state-of-the-art recursive feedforward parameter learning framework on a high-tech industrial metrology and inspection machine. The aim of the learning framework is to recursively adapt the feedforward parameters to compensate for time-varying and position-dep.ndent system behavior, e.g., caused by wear, position and temperature dep.ndent actuator characteristics, changes in shape and stiffness due to thermal expansion, and sample time jitter. The strength of the approach is demonstrated through experiments on a high-tech motion system which show a peak error reduction of circa 45% compared to the industrial controller with offline calibrated feedforward parameters.

today, multimedia database management is the most important for the new generation and specifically in big data issues for instant saving, calling and modifying operations for many types of documents as text, video and audio. A huge number of previous researches have been done in the multimedia subject, such as index and storage of multimedia data. However, very few resources on this research work that how to manage a large size of data, as future work. In this paper, suggestion of new method that describes the general model of any kinds of the multimedia database management system, that's lead to a decrease of seeking time/ increase speed time when we have to find for particular data type such as portable data format (PDF). Finally, this study concludes with potential future work for applying the current model to improve the result of usability, management the accessibility and effectiveness of multimedia in big data © 2021 IEEE.
