The integration of Business Process Management (BPM), Service Oriented Computing (SOC) and Model Driven Development (MDD) paradigms to improve the development of services oriented solutions from business models is nowadays in the spotlight. Organizations wanting to remain competitive despite the constant changes in their business are paying more attention to their business processes and its base lifecycle. Business process modeling is also at the centre of software development efforts, as making those models explicitly constitutes the basis for services definition. Transformations between business process and services models allow the automatic generation of services from business processes in a repeatable and systematic way, easing the development process. In this paper we present MINERVA's tool support for service oriented development from business processes, including QVT transformations from BPMN to SoaML models to automatically generate service models from business process models.

In recent years, power electronic components introduce harmonic pollution on electric power systems. It makes the traditional electromechanical power meter can not act accurately when it feeds unbalanced and harmonic loads. Power quality analysis now tends to use digital signal technology. But it is hard to avoid measurement errors in estimating power quality by digital signal technology. In this paper, it is to improve the computation errors by using FPGA. The simulation circuits were created and measured by Matlab. Then it will discuss the case of single-phase full-wave bridge rectifier loads. And then in the three-phase circuit the effective power factor, arithmetic power factor, and fundamental power factor will be compared in several simulation cases. The computation errors have been greatly reduced. In the study, the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is used to analyze the formula of power factor. The simulation system was modeled in Hardware Description Language (VHDL) and some novel IP (intellectual property) cores, such as CORDIC core and FFT core by the way of Bottom-Up. Design of SOC (System on a Chip) is a trend to achieve the strong and small volume in the future.

In this paper, we propose a method of face detection based on feature analysis and edge detection against skin color-like backgrounds. The proposed method consists of three phases including image preprocessing, skin color segmentation, and determination of face candidates. First, the objects in foreground are separated by image preprocessing. Second, the non-skin color objects are rejected by the method of skin color segmentation. Finally, both the elimination of skin color-like blobs in backgrounds and face detection are performed by the method of determination of face candidates. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively detect most of faces in skin color-like backgrounds. In addition, detection of face images with pose and expression variations or against dark backgrounds are also carried out.

Under the fast-developing carbon trading market, the construction industry needs to mitigate carbon emissions from construction processes. Among various construction processes, tunnel construction produces a significant amount of carbon emissions, since it utilizes various types of high energy-consuming equipment. In order to identify and mitigate such carbon emissions of a tunneling project, it is required to reliably estimate carbon footprints of a tunneling project in the pre-planning phase. This paper presents the methodology for estimating the carbon footprints generated during tunnel construction processes using the collaborative tunneling simulation. A case study using this methodology shows that carbon footprints from a utility tunnel construction are significant compared with those from a building construction. In addition, the assessment of carbon footprints of the case study identifies the opportunities to mitigate such impact by supporting decision-making on equipment and operation plans in the planning phase and providing a control target level of carbon footprints in the execution phase.
