The present work proposes a framework aiming to develop reliability metrics for model predictions, integrating a priori clinical knowledge with data and emphasising feature relevance. The approach combines clinical knowledge, represented as rules, with selected features, such as risk factors, where their significance is captured through assigned weights. Validation of the proposed methodology is conducted using the Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) risk model, applied to a dataset from the Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra, focusing on risk assessment. The results demonstrate that these reliability metrics are closely linked to the performance of individual GRACE predictions, enabling the identification of cases or groups where the GRACE model yields reliable or unreliable predictions. This framework provides a valuable supplementary metric to existing global risk models. © 2024 IEEE.

the design decisions made in the architecture of a software system are essential to its maintainability, and thus its quality is of great importance. Architecture smells (ASs) can be used to identify any quality issues within the system. To further explore the relationships between ASs, stability, and reusability, Spearman correlation coefficients will be calculated. This paper seeks to examine the connection between architecture smells, software stability, and reusability. To do this, we utilized a dataset created by other researchers and conducted an empirical study of the associations between five types of architecture smells and software stability and reusability. This research is necessary as there is a lack of in-dep.h research on architecture smells and their relationship to software stability and reusability. We found a relationship between the presence of Feature Concentration in package and the stability and reusability of the package. Also, package's stability is affected by both Cyclic dep.ndency and Unstable dep.ndency. A slight positive correlation has been found between God Class and stability, as well as a very weak negative correlation between Unstable dep.ndency and reusability. Finally, we found a slight negative correlation between package stability and reusability. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent decades, the advent of digital information services by YouTube, Amazon, Netflix, and many other web services of this kind have made recommendation systems more and more ubiquitous in our lives. rice field. The system suggests and recommends articles to the user that may interest the user in online advertising (recommending and suggesting appropriate content to the user that matches the user's tastes and activities). Recommendation systems have become an integral part of our daily online journeys. The quality of predictions is degraded by the attackers by injection of fake profiles. therefore, the shilling attacks detection are necessary. thus, various shilling attacks detection techniques proposed. In this paper, we introduce an enhanced technique for detecting shilling attacks in collaborative recommender system using supervised learning techniques. The proposed method results show that getting better accuracy when we employee ensemble learning algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

Low altitude airspace economy applications will be of highly effective in a wide range of civil activities and will be a critical element in the smart cities of the future. In view of the main features of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), such as automatic piloting system, access to uninhabited areas, low cost compared to road and manned aircraft, shorter delivery time, and the ability to carry heavy payloads, it is important to recognize that UAVs can be used for a wide range of civil activities. With the development of these applications in full swing around the world, in addition to advanced communications technology and other related infrastructure, business demand and a favorable investment climate, clarity, definiteness and feasible regulations in the Taiwanese environment are also essential. Based on the premise of local economic strength, the technical level of the telecommunication industry, and commercial demands, Taiwan should establish a rational standard for the UAV regulatory system as soon as possible, so as to facilitate the development of UAM and to ensure the international competitiveness of the related technologies for market development © 2024 IEEE.

This paper proposes a framework for developing reliability metrics for model predictions based on a priori clinical knowledge. The approach relies on rule-based knowledge along with selected features under the form of risk factors. Moreover, personalization of predictions plays a crucial role for grouping individuals into specific groups or profiles based on their intrinsic characteristics. Appropriate rules according to the individuals’ profile are derived and used within the framework. The proposed approach is validated considering the Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events risk model and applied to a dataset from the Centro Hospitalar da Universidade de Coimbra, with focus on risk assessment. Results obtained using the proposed approach indicate that by using those metrics to assess reliability it is possible to identify particular cases in which GRACE presents almost predictable outcomes.

This paper addresses the influence of nanoparticles (NPs) on the dielectric properties of polyurethane. In this research, we only investigated the effect of Al2O3, MgO and ZnO NPs for concentrations up to 2% wt and in the temperature range from 25 to 120 °C. During the preparation of nanocomposites, polymer chains bind to NPs, which then limits their mobility. This effect results in a decrease in real permittivity and the course of polarization mechanisms. We observed an increase in permittivity over the entire temperature range only for a 2% MgO concentration. The decrease in the mobility of polymer chains was confirmed by dynamic-mechanical analysis. This method also results in an increase in the glass transition temperature dep.nding on the type and concentration of NPs. The presence of NPs and the limited mobility of the polymer chains results in a shift of the low-frequency local maximum to lower frequencies © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.
