System on-a-chip (SoC) achievement relies upon a very much planned, incorporated come nearer from a few disciplines, including application, plan, and gadget. Since they rely upon these electrical interconnects at the actual level, on-chip correspondence models like transports and networks on-chip (NoC), which are utilized to empower between part correspondence in multi-processor systems on-chip (MPSoC) plans, are dependent upon the full scope of troubles and impediments that influence copper-based electrical interconnects. Various examination projects have begun looking at imaginative association choices, for example, on-chip optical interconnects, remote interconnects, and carbon nanotube-based interconnects, trying to beat the downsides of traditional copper-based electrical interconnects. An outline and flow research status for these three promising association advancements are introduced in this review. Schizophrenia is a complex and multifaceted disorder that is still not fully understood. However, many processes are known to drive its onset, relapse, symptomatology, and therapy. One possible explanation for Schizophrenia is that the person has difficulty using proper analytic methods to deal with the complexity and variety of the condition. Many AI algorithms have been designed and developed over time specifically for Neuroinformatics. These algorithms have been a go-to for many researchers and scientists, even for those in the medical field. Because of these AI-powered algorithms, Scientists are able to detect various diseases, whether they are related to brain activity or any other organs. Deep Learning is yet another field of Machine Learning which is made by the inspiration of how neural networks are connected inside our brain. These are more flexible than the Scikit-Learn-based Machine Learning models as these Deep Neural Network models don’t often require data preprocessing at initial stages. Not only this fact, but also they are used in various places, for example, processing of unstructured data, including texts and images, feature extraction, etc. In this study, we have attempted to detect Schizophrenia from resting-state functional magnetic resonance images using trained Deep Neural Networks as well as Scikit-Learn-based state-of-the-art Machine Learning models. For the dataset, we have utilized the public COBRE dataset available in the nilearn library, along with some public datasets from OpenfMRI. The Deep Learning models detected Schizophrenia with a reliable performance compared to Scikit-Learn-based Machine Learning models. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2023.

The tremendous growth in the usage of internet technology has pawed way for advancement of diverse wireless networks. One of the domain of wireless networks that have gathered a lot of attention from researchers is Wireless Mesh Network (WMN). WMN is preferred because of its numerous advantages like better coverage area, communication with other networks, cost effectiveness, increased network capacity and is compatible with all IEEE 802.11 standards. Low Capacity, management of the traffic and gateway nodes and end to end fairness problem are the major issues in the employment of WMNs. In order to reduce the existing challenges in WMNs load balancing plays a vital role. In our work we have proposed a load balancing protocol to overcome the problem of congestion using residual energy and delay. The simulation results are derived and they prove that our proposed protocol enhances the performance and life time of WMN compared to standard protocol with reference to residual energy, throughput, packets received jitter and delay. © 2019 IEEE.

In this paper, queueing effects on handover calls in a hierarchical cellular network are examined by varying call holding times, cell dwell times, signal degradation interval and queue size, especially in terms of handover call dropping probability and the power spectral density (PSD) of handover overflow process. Using the PSD, it is found in the numerical examples that queue for handover calls and large signal degradation interval, that is, large handover region, can remove occurrence of the short overflow periods which are related to low dropping rate of handover calls and that handover calls with high mobility induce the long overflow periods which are related to high dropping rate. It is also concluded that large queue size over two, can not give significant enhancement on call performance, because long overflow periods remain to be the dominant factor on the performance.

In this paper, we report an efficient segmentation and grain boundary detection process using modern image processing operators like simple linear iterative clustering and skeletonization. Accurate phase segmentation is the major requirement for any phase identification and quantification operations. The proposed image processing methods have been experimented on the in-house generated 48 scanning electron microscopy (SEM) microstructures obtained from plain carbon steel samples containing 0.1, 0.22, 0.35 and 0.48 wt%C and have been subjected to both annealing and normalizing treatments. The microstructures for dataset have been captured in SEM using secondary electron mode over a wide range of magnification × 500–× 5000. The experimental results significantly validate the segmentation of ferrite and pearlite regions. Also, the grain boundary detection results appear to be plausibly effective in case of ferrite–ferrite and ferrite–pearlite boundaries. However, the grain boundary detection efficiency is found to be relatively poor in case of pearlite–pearlite boundary. The overall performance of the proposed image processing technique in context of ferrite–pearlite steel SEM images shows promising results in all circumstances of compositional range, heat treatment and magnification. © 2019, The Institution of Engineers (India).

Proposed system comprised of 32 honeypots with reports from 17M login attempts provided by many countries from 6000 different source IP addresses. Increasing number of attacks for blocking network connections in switch level was handled by Software Defined Network because of decoupled data in control plane. The Motive of software defined networks was defining rules based on the SDN controller for blocking unauthorized network connections. An historical network attack detects a data, blocks the untrusted connections. Though, each attacker provides solutions cannot effectively against chain attacks that contain many IP address utilized. In this paper, a machine learning algorithm on historical network attack data is trained for detecting potential unauthorized connections and potential attack destinations. Decision Tree (DT) and Naïve-Bayes is used predicted host attacked depending on the historical data. Software attack pattern was predicted to identify unauthorized user that is same as Identifying intrusion in system. The Proposed system shows that average accuracy prediction using Bayesian networks are 91.68%. © 2019 IEEE.

Preprocessing and enhancement of mammograms is necessary to improve the visual quality and detectability of the anomalies present in the breasts. In this work, a nonlinear logistic function has been applied for enhancement (preprocessing) of mammograms. To define the texture of the detected anomaly gray level cooccurrence matrix (GLCM) features are formulated. Lastly, a feedforward artificial neural network (FF-ANN) is used as a classification tool for segregating the mammogram into normal or abnormal. A set of four confusion matrices regarding the learning, testing and validation of the classifier has been computed to analyze the performance of classifier at each stage. The proposed classifier approach has reported of considerably better accuracy in comparison to other existing approaches. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2018.

Minimizing latency and power are key goals in the design of NoC routers. Different proposals combine lookahead routing and router bypass to skip the arbitration and buffering stages of their pipeline, reducing router delay to a single-cycle. However, the conditions to use the bypass are unnecessarily conservative, requiring completely empty buffers in the intermediate routers. This restricts the amount of flits that use the bypass, increasing average latency and power .This paper introduces Non-Empty Buffer Bypass (NEBB), a mechanism that allows to bypass flits even if the buffers to bypass are not empty. The mechanism applies to wormhole and virtual-cut-through, each of them with different advantages. NEBB-Hybrid is proposed to employ the best flow control in each situation, maximizing the utilization of the bypass. The proposals have been evaluated using Booksim. Results show up to 75% reduction of the buffered flits for single-flit packets, which translates into latency and dynamic power reductions of up to 30% and 23% respectively. For bimodal traffic, these improvements are 20% and 21% respectively. Additionally, the bypass utilization is largely independent of the number of VCs when using shared buffers and very competitive with few private ones, allowing to simplify the allocation mechanisms.

This research presents a printed ultrawideband monopole antenna designed with notches at the 3.5 GHz and 5.5 GHz frequency bands. The antenna incorporates a 50-Ω Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) feed, featuring a gradual central line and ground plane. To notch unwanted frequencies at 3.5 GHz and 5.5 GHz, an inverted triangle slot and an inverted U-shaped slot are integrated into the monopole patch. Operating across a frequency range of 2.62-12 GHz, the proposed antenna supports the UWB system while excluding the 3.22-3.62 GHz and 5.14-5.62 GHz bands. The lengths of the inverted triangle and U-shaped slots correspond to quarter and half wavelengths at 3.5 GHz and 5.5 GHz, respectively. The prototype has been fully developed and tested, showing its effectiveness in reducing Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) in WLAN/WiMAX bands. © 2024 IEEE.
