Colon polyps are abnormal tissues belonging to tumors that grow on the walls of the human colon. Colon polyps can be visualized using the technology that is endoscopy. However, the results of endoscopy image examination often differ depending on the accuracy and experience of the doctor. To overcome these problems, a system was built by implementing digital image processing that can detect types of colon polyps based on endoscopy images. There are several stages of the process in this system. The first process is preprocessing using scaling, and bilateral filtering which is used to improve endoscopic image quality. Then, the the second process is segmentation to separate the area of polyp from other object using watershed, thresholding, and cropping. The third process is extraction used to get the area, length, width, and texture of the polyp. The last process is classifying colon polyps based on their type is a hyperplastic, adenoma, and sessile using the SVM (Support Vector Machine) method. The system in this study was tested on 20 endoscopic images, and this system has a high level of accuracy, sensitivity, precision, and specificity in classifying colon polyps. is 93.54%, 94.73%, 85.71%, and 93.02% respectively. © 2021 IEEE.

Indonesia is well known as a country that relies on agricultural sector as the main source of livelihood. Over time, the management of agricultural products has evolved towards more advanced conventional practices, incorporating new technologies. Therefore, this research examined the measurement process of soil pH, soil moisture, and identification of fertilizer requirements through a scanning system equipped with color sensors integrated into the PadiSense mobile applications. The purposive sampling method with a pH sensor and instrument measurement of 6.4 percent and 7.5 percent were used to conduct this research. The pH sensor-based measurement yielded an average pH of 7.6 percent and within the Neutral scale, meeting the criteria for optimal rice growth and development. The results obtained from measuring soil moisture proved optimal for the growth of rice stems, with an average of 71.7 percent to 74.1 percent at a minimal measurement error of 0.047 percent. In conclusion, the requirements for nitrogen were identified using color sensors, which showed the BWD scale, with an average measurement corresponding to BWD 4.

Searching for health-related information online is becoming more difficult due to the proliferation of multiple-meaning phrases such as semantic words. This study examines the semantic process in medical terms using a collection of doctor's answer texts which requires finding an appropriate model for recognizing text in pairs of comparable Indonesian medical phrases or terminology synonyms. This study contributes to finding an automatic semantic text detection using a word embedding approach to identify text in pairs of similar Indonesian medical terms. We selected 108 pairs of annotated medical terms (Biomedical Named Entity Recognition (Bio-NER)) in Indonesian based on a collection of doctor texts with 60 pairs of similar words and 48 pairs of dissimilar words. Our dataset was processed with the word embedding approach of FastText and BioWordVec. There are two approaches of BioWordVec: with (BioWordVec-2) and without (BioWordVec) translation process. We compared the performance of FastText, BioWordVec, and BioWordVec-2 using measures like accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity. The results show that the BioWordVec-2 model performs better than other models in identifying similar pairs. © 2022 IEEE.

In e-learning environments, the sheer volume of available courses often overwhelms users, leading to decision fatigue and disengagement Learners vary widely in their preferences, learning styles, and goals, yet generic recommendations fail to account for these differences, resulting in suboptimal learning experiences. Therefore, personalized recommendations which are generally found in recommendation systems are needed especially in e-learning systems. Collaborative filtering is a popular method in recommendation systems, generating predictions by analyzing user ratings to forecast items of interest. This study implements an item-based collaborative filtering approach, calculating item similarity to recommend courses effectively. The study involves developing a web-based recommendation system utilizing a dataset of 623 Coursera courses and 1,454,711 course review entries. Prediction accuracy is enhanced through weighted sum and adjusted weighted sum calculations, employing cosine similarity and adjusted cosine similarity to refine similarity scores. Prediction errors are evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) metrics. Testing various K-nearest neighbor values reveals that an optimal K value of 150 yields an MAE of 0.4791 and an RMSE of 0.7882 for weighted sum predictions. For adjusted weighted sum predictions, an optimal K value of 160 produces an MAE of 0.4792 and an RMSE of 0.7638. These results highlight the effectiveness of item-based collaborative filtering in delivering accurate course recommendations and showcase the impact of similarity measures on predictive accuracy.

The cocoa industry serves as a vital economic pillar, holding a pivotal role in the daily lives of farmers in Central Sulawesi. However, a prevailing challenge for cocoa cultivators in this region resides in the inherently subjective nature of cocoa bean quality assessment, often necessitating the involvement of a substantial human workforce. Addressing this challenge requires the implementation of computer vision technology capable of autonomously grading cocoa bean quality. Such a system not only expedites the evaluation process but also enhances the precision and consistency in determining the quality of the beans. The study employed Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) methodology to analyze images of cocoa beans sourced from Central Sulawesi farmers. The research demonstrated a remarkable accuracy of 94.66%, accompanied by a minimal loss of 0.1195. The model demonstrates strong performance on both training and validation sets, indicating effective learning of relevant patterns. Consistent accuracy and loss trends across epochs signify stable training without notable overfitting or underfitting. The minimal gap between training and validation metrics reflects the model's effective generalization to unseen data. This technological integration promises to revolutionize cacao quality assessment, offering a sophisticated and efficient solution for the benefit of Central Sulawesi's cacao farming community.

Prediction of fire forest will be needing several parameters that located on the same location and on the same time frame. This is important to have data on the same location and same time periods, since forest fire mostly triggered by weather or temperature condition on certain area on the certain time. Since there are many parameters involved, the preprocessing will need to made the data have standard structure. The clustering process needed to give a label to the data with five class label, very low risk, low risk, medium risk, high risk, very high risk. Based on the data set, we measurement the best cluster number related with DB index, the results shows that 8 cluster is the best number of the data with DB Index score are 0.8856. © 2022 IEEE.

The process of managing financial transactions, especially in the education sector, is still mostly carried out conventionally, so it has the potential to cause many risks, such as loss or damage to documents related to difficulties in searching for data as needed, transaction processes that take quite a long time, financial records that are not properly recorded. Well, it is prone to discrepancies between the nominal filing and the nominal disbursed conventional representations of financial statements that make the stakeholder evaluation process uncomfortable, and many other things. Therefore this research was conducted to build a website-based information system that can prevent this from happening in the future. The method used in the development of this information system is the Agile method with the Scrum framework. The Scrum framework consists of five stages, starting from Initiate, Plan, and Estimate, Implement, Review and Retrospect, and Release. This website was built using the Javascript programming language using the Vue JS framework for the Front-end. With this website-based application, it is hoped that transaction activities can be carried out better and correctly without being limited by space and time. © 2023 IEEE.

The variations in students’ abilities present challenges in achieving desired learning outcomes. Students exhibit different levels of comprehension regarding the complexity of learning materials. In this study, we aim to model the difficulty levels of learning materials using a clustering approach to offer personalized learning material recommendations within an adaptive learning framework. Data were collected from student scores of Data Structure course obtained between 2020 and 2022 at the University of Trunojoyo Madura. The dataset modeling process adheres to the CRISP-DM Methodology, employing the K-Means clustering method and Euclidean Distance. We employed the Within-Cluster Sum of Squares (WCSS) metric and silhouette score to identify the optimal K-value, which resulted in a value of 5, accompanied by a silhouette score of 0.629. Our analysis pinpointed Stack and Deque as the easiest, while Linked List emerged as the most challenging course material. Accordingly, we will assign a label of 1 to the easiest materials, 2 to those of medium difficulty, and 3 to the most challenging ones. These labels will serve as criteria for recommending suitable learning materials to students based on their knowledge level. We will assess the ratio between the overall knowledge level score and the difficulty level of the material. The ratio value will serve as a reference for determining material recommendations for students. Materials categorized with the highest difficulty levels are exclusively suggested to students demonstrating faster learning abilities with a high value of ratio, and vice versa. This approach is feasible for implementation in adaptive learning.

The development of information technology is currently growing rapidly and has been implemented in many sectors including trade. Warung is one of the economic drivers of an area that sells basic needs, daily needs. The wa are relatively small and are located in residential areas, with extended working hours seven days a week and very limited availability of raw materials. This study aims to develop a warung information system that is integrated to all stakeholders. The method used to develop ewarung systems is the Prototype method, where this method describes customer needs in more detail. prototype is an unfinished program that provides an interface with a software flow simulation so that it looks like ready-made software. The prototype has three stages, namely Listen to Customer collects user needs, then Build/revice mock-ups, at this stage design and prototype systems are carried out, lastly Customer Test Drives/Mock-ups, Prototypes of the system are tested by users who will use the system until found specifications that match the wishes of the customer or user. In addition, to get maximum results, this study conducted observations used to find out information about business processes, culture and daily warung activities in the field. Interviews were conducted to obtain variations of authentic research results with the process of verifying and validating the data obtained and the last one being to do documentation, which is a record of every event that has occurred or can be said to be an event that has passed. The results of this study were in the form of an e-warung prototype design by obtaining results using alpha testing to respondents, namely running 15 processes and the results obtained were that the entire process was running accordingly. The purpose of this study was to determine and test the effectiveness level of smart seminar application in the learning of Islamic Religion with a case study at Raharja University, Tangerang City, with an experimental approach. The data collection technique uses a test. This study took 74 samples, consisting of 37 control groups, i.e. groups that were not given treatment, or groups that did not use the Smart Seminar application, and 37 students as experimental classes, or groups who were treated were groups who used the Smart seminar application. To test whether the application of smart seminars in the teaching of Islamic subjects is effective, the one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test is used, but first the distribution data groups must have normality distribution and come from homogeneous data groups. From the normality test table and the homogeneity test table, the Asymp value is obtained. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.318> 0.05 and sig 0.958> 0.05 this shows that the data is normally distributed, and coming from a homogeneous data group it meets the requirements to be continued in the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test to test whether there is the effectiveness of the use of the Smart Seminar application in learning Islam at Raharja University.
