This study developed a pilot-scale process feeding with two different materials resulting from a column leaching process and acid mine drainage(AMD)streams to recover rare earth elements(REEs).A life cycle assessment(LCA)study was done to evaluate the environmental impacts of rare earth production from deleterious material in the form of highly contaminated leachate(HCL)and low-contaminated leachate(LCL).The results indicate that the main contributors to environmental categories that produce RE-hydroxide stages are NaOH and ***,oxalic acid,Na_(2)CO_(3),and hydrochloric acid significantly contribute to the production stage of individual rare earth oxides(REOs),including solvent extraction(SX)and precipitation *** HCL route has higher environmental impacts than LCL due to higher chemical/energy and H_(2)SO_(4)usage,so 468 and 292 kg of carbon dioxide are generated to produce1 t of individual REOs from HCL and LCL routes,***,the carbon dioxide emitted from the process,including the RE-hydroxide production,SX,and REOs production,is less than 10 t CO_(2).A sensitivity analysis was also performed to assess the changeability of the environmental footprints of the main inputs in the SX process,as the main stage has a higher contribution to the whole *** LCA study is the first step toward understanding the environmental influence of new processing methods to produce REEs from coal by-products through a developed pilot-scale process.

The production throughputs of the food industry grow continuously due to the ever-increasing customer demand. At the same time, food safety measures become increasingly strict. To this end, efficient quality control is essential to ensure quality and safety for consumers, and to guarantee efficient and valuable production for industrial stakeholders. Computer vision is often applied to this end, usually integrated with other Industry 4.0 technologies and processautomation. Computer vision applications in quality control, indeed, can greatly enhance supply chain management in the food industry by maintaining consistent product quality and minimizing waste. In this paper, a keyword-based analysis is carried out to assess the main research trends and topics in the field of computer vision for quality control in the food industry. The bibliometric analysis aims to assess the main applications of the technology in terms of processes and products and the main issues targeted by the analyses. Finally, the results of the bibliometric investigation allow to identify and highlight topics that present potential for future investigations in the field.

With the advancement of intelligent transformation in the manufacturing industry, the building steel structure industry is also facing an urgent need to enhance its intelligent manufacturing level. This article takes the building steel structure manufacturing factory of China Construction Steel Structure Guangdong Co., Ltd. as the research object and deeply explores its management practice of intelligent upgrading. The traditional discrete intelligent manufacturing model of steel structures has many problems, such as low production efficiency, insufficient flexibility of the production line, and backward manufacturing technology. To address these issues, the factory has innovated in multiple key processes. In terms of equipment upgrading, a high-power laser cutting machine is introduced in the blanking process, significantly improving cutting quality and speed;advanced 3D visual recognition technology and cutting robots are adopted in the bevel cutting process, enhancing precision and efficiency;the welding process is optimized with laser rust removal and the application of new technologies to expand the use of welding robots;the grinding process utilizes large-format laser rust removal equipment to improve the rust removal effect of small steel structure components;at the same time, the processes of steel structure turning and transportation are optimized to ensure safety and improve efficiency.
