The Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) introduced Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) for vehicular communications. In the standard, C-V2X Mode 4 is defined for the distributed resource selection. Subsequently, in 3GPP Release 16, NR-V2X is introduced with Mode 1 and Mode 2 for vehicular communications. Likewise C-V2X Mode 4, NR-V2X Mode 2 is used for decentralized resource scheduling. The vehicles select the resources based on their local observations by utilizing the Semi-persistent Scheduling (SPS). Since, the vehicles select the resources based on the local observation, sensing nature of SPS is challenged by the hidden node problem that lead to resource conflict. To resolve the contention, 3GPP also introduced the Physical Sidelink Feedback Channel (PSFCH) to assist the distributive resource scheduling based on the receiver feedback. However, this incurred a signaling overhead. In this work, federated learning is exploited for distributive training via offline method and distributive multi-agent-based resource scheduling is performed following the principles of NR-V2X Mode 2. Distributed training favors the model accuracy by accommodating the varying affect of the environment due to the high mobile dynamics. Simulation is conducted by integrating SUMO in conjunction with 3GPP NR-V2X standard. Performance results demonstrate a substantial improvement compared to other deep learning methods, where centralized training and random resource selection procedures are employed. This research marks a significant stride towards efficient and conflict-resilient resource allocation in vehicular communications. © 2014 IEEE.

Methods for class-imbalanced learning with support vector machines: a review and an empirical evaluation

This paper presents a review on methods for class-imbalanced learning with the Support Vector Machine (SVM) and its variants. We first explain the structure of SVM and its variants and discuss their inefficiency in learning with class-imbalanced data sets. We introduce a hierarchical categorization of SVM-based models with respect to class-imbalanced learning. Specifically, we categorize SVM-based models into re-sampling, algorithmic, and fusion methods, and discuss the principles of the representative models in each category. In addition, we conduct a series of empirical evaluations to compare the performances of various representative SVM-based models in each category using benchmark imbalanced data sets, ranging from low to high imbalanced ratios. Our findings reveal that while algorithmic methods are less time-consuming owing to no data pre-processing requirements, fusion methods, which combine both re-sampling and algorithmic approaches, generally perform the best, but with a higher computational load. Due to the ongoing advancements in science and technology, it seems that artificial intelligence and computers have encountered a limitation in their progress. Contemporary scientific research requires more sophisticated interconnection technology to ensure the continued progress of science and technology. Amidst this setting, the technology of Internet of Things (IoT) has progressively been visible to individuals. This technology will significantly impact human lifestyle and quality of life, and the Internet of Things has seen substantial progress. Information technology is intricately intertwined with the lives of citizens. The integration of information technology with the IoT is aimed at maximizing the technological advancement of the Internet of Things, with Internet technology serving as the central component. The use of artificial intelligence and computer intelligence in Internet technology is versatile, and issues pertaining to artificial intelligence and computing intelligence are progressively emerging. Artificial intelligence and computational intelligence play a significant role in the Internet of Things. However, their application process is challenging and lacks creativity, necessitating ongoing improvements at the application level. Fetal brain anomaly prediction is important for fetal medicine, as well as for prenatal health care. Fetal anomalies are classified into two types, anomalies in the fetus' body parts including heart, lung, and kidney anomalies in facial features. Thus, to predict the anomalies in the fetal brain, various deep-learning models are used in this paper. The LeNet, AlexNet, ResNet, VGGNet, GoogLeNet and ZFNet were used. From the results obtained, the ResNet method achieved 99% accuracy with the given 3D ultrasound images of the fetal brain compared with other models and benchmark algorithms like SVM, Logistic regression, and KNN. The results of this paper are useful to identify fetal anomalies. Hence, this approach will be useful for improving outcomes for individuals and society as much as possible. © 2024 IEEE.

The proposed system aims to enhance student transportation security through real-time face detection and recognition. Leveraging the MTCNN framework for accurate face detection and the FaceNet model for reliable face recognition, the system ensures only authorized students can board designated buses by comparing captured faces with a pre-registered database. In case of mismatches, alerts are triggered to notify drivers and authorities. Additionally, parallel implementation of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) classifiers improves authentication accuracy. The system's deep learning-based architecture ensures robust performance under varying environmental conditions and supports continuous learning for long-term reliability. © 2025 IEEE.

To build a Cancer prediction model based on ML, one needs data of a certain sort, such as gene expression data or microarray data. To reduce the dataset's dimensionality, feature selection is proposed as an optimal solution to high dimensionality challenges and to deal with microarray data, this research work aims to perform the 2-stage feature selection. In the initial stage, the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Bare-bone PSO (BBPSO) are applied to the dataset separately. Then the common features selected by PSO and BBPSO are considered. Then Levy Flight Moth Flame Optimization (LFMFO) is applied to choose the final optimal set of features. Basic existing ML classifiers are used for the first prediction. Afterwards, the Majority Voting technique is applied to develop the ensemble technique. The proposed model is developed over four Cancer microarray datasets, including CNS, Lung Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, and Breast Cancer. The experimental analysis presents the proposed model obtains the highest accuracy of 98.81% for the Ovarian Cancer dataset. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

In the cloud environment,ensuring a high level of data security is in high *** planning storage optimization is part of the whole security process in the cloud *** enables data security by avoiding the risk of data loss and data *** development of data flow scheduling approaches in the cloud environment taking security parameters into account is *** our work,we propose a data scheduling model for the cloud *** is made up of three parts that together help dispatch user data flow to the appropriate *** first component is the Collector Agent whichmust periodically collect information on the state of the network *** second one is the monitoring agent which must then analyze,classify,and make a decision on the state of the link and finally transmit this information to the *** third one is the scheduler who must consider previous information to transfer user data,including fair distribution and reliable *** should be noted that each part of the proposedmodel requires the development of its *** this article,we are interested in the development of data transfer algorithms,including fairness distribution with the consideration of a stable link *** algorithms are based on the grouping of transmitted files and the iterative *** proposed algorithms showthe performances to obtain an approximate solution to the studied problem which is an NP-hard(Non-Polynomial solution)*** experimental results show that the best algorithm is the half-grouped minimum excluding(HME),with a percentage of 91.3%,an average deviation of 0.042,and an execution time of 0.001 s.

In today's 5G era, the amount of data generated by the Internet of Things (IoT) devices is enormous. Data is processed and stored in the cloud under a traditional cloud computing architecture, and real-time processing and retrieval of these data is time-consuming. Therefore, an edge-cloud framework comes in handy where the content generated is placed on the edge nodes of the network, and it can reach the endusers in a time-bound manner. A majority of the previous research works on content placement under the edge-cloud architecture primarily aimed at improving the latency of the system. However, the approach proposed in this paper aims to maximize the profit of the service provider by effectively placing the content in a hierarchically organized edge-cloud network. We propose two strategies and compare them with random and greedy approaches for both synthetic and real data sets. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed strategies, and the profit of the service providers increases by 38.81% (maximum) and 10.51% (on average) for the synthetic dataset and by 65.74% (maximum) and 22.83% (on average) for the real-world dataset when compared with the greedy approach. © 2024 IEEE.

Future flexible intelligent displays are driving demands for greater flexibility, higher resolution, faster refresh rates, and enhanced functionality. This review mainly focuses on recent advances and ongoing challenges in flexible thin-film transistors (TFTs) based on low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS), amorphous oxide semiconductor (AOS), and low-temperature polysilicon and oxide (LTPO) for flexible backplane technologies. Furthermore, the developments of process and function integration techniques, including device scaling, device stacking, as well as functional circuits and applications, are discussed from the perspective of innovation and significance. Besides, the integration of intelligent systems is briefly introduced, emphasizing the role of synaptic transistors, including metal oxide and carbon nanotube-based ones, in real-time data processing and sensing functions. By providing insights into the status and future directions, this review provides a comprehensive perspective and discussion on the development of next-generation flexible intelligent display technologies. © 2024 IEEE.
