The Connected Revolution has reached the automotive industry and the Internet penetrates into the modern vehicles. Formerly acquiring data from a vehicle was the tool of Fleet Management systems handling commercial vehicles. In the recent years connectivity began to appear in the passenger vehicles also. The first features were infotainment and navigation, having low security needs remaining far from the vehicular networks. Then telematics and remote control, such as keyless entry appeared and created a new security threat in the vehicle. The paper shows how the connected feature changes the vehicle and also presents vulnerabilities of each element to show the importance of cautious system security design.

Nowadays, the establishment of effective methods of QSAR (Quantitative Structure Activity Relationships) to predict the properties of new chemical compounds and directional computational molecular design of drug compounds are the most important and urgent tasks of bioinformatics. The article proposes a technology based on immune network modeling to determine the substance of new drug compounds. There was presented the algorithm for the modeling of the dependences "structure-property" on the example of sulfonamides with different duration of action based on the biological approach of artificial immune systems. There was designed component-oriented approach for computational molecular design of new drug compounds based on immune network modeling. The proposed intelligent technology allows to analyze the hidden (latent) relations between the descriptors, to decrease the training time for the immune network and to use the descriptors of different levels.

Sleep stage scoring is used to evaluate one's overnight sleep process, which is important for clinical diagnosis. However, the visual inspection of sleep data is a laborious task and the scoring results may be subjective to different clinicians. The purpose of this paper is to develop an automatic sleep stage classification algorithm to reduce the artificial workload. The overnight sleep data are represented by the extracted features from time domain and frequency domain of EEG. An improved k-means clustering algorithm is proposed to classify overnight sleep data into five stages including awake (W), NREM (Non-Rapid Eye Movement) stage 1 (S1), NREM stage 2 (S2), slow-wave sleep (SS) and REM (Rapid Eye Movement). In the improved k-means clustering algorithm, the points with dense surrounding are selected as the original centers by using the concept of density for reference. Additionally, the cluster centers are updated according to `Three-Sigma Rule' during the iteration. The determination of cluster center selection was developed which can be adaptive to the actual cases and abate the singular points effect. The obtained results showed that the accuracy of proposed algorithm was satisfied; especially it can distinguish W, SS and REM effectively. Furthermore, the improved k-means algorithm had less number of misclassification and higher accuracy than the original algorithm.

In this paper, the problem of H_∞ group consensus is addressed for networks of agents modeled by single-integrator with model uncertainty and external disturbance. The first part of the work is to show that the group consensus with desired H_∞ performance can be achieved under some sufficient conditions that are established in terms of the structure and strength of the couplings among agents. Then given the observation that the theoretical values of the coupling strengths are usually much larger than expected in practical situations, the second part of the work is concerned with developing an adaptation law to tackle such coupling strength problem.
