In general transformations across models need to be defined for every different pair of models for engineering transformational methods. In this paper we formulate a systematic, computer supported generic technique of performing transformation across models. We formalize the transformation technique by using the graph theoretic notion of isomorphism. Model concepts are organized in an is built of method graph. The generation technique is used to establish isomorphism between the concepts of the two graphs by generating nodes and edges by duplication. This technique produces feasible mappings, which can be presented to the method engineer for subsequent fine-tuning. Further, these model mappings are used to generate the purposes and dependencies for a decisional Meta model for a transformational method.

In this paper we propose a holistic approach to modeling the management of dynamic spectrum access (DSA). We argue that the range to issues involved requires not just a management scheme, but also a meta-management scheme whereby management processes are monitored, analyzed and improved. In this way different proposals for management can be refined through interaction in a dialectic that reacts to the problems and conflicts of a given management scheme as well as the changes in the technological, social, economic and political environment. We examine Stafford Beer's Viable Systems Model as a possible basis for a framework that encompasses a variety of feedback loops involved in addressing operations, management and meta-management together. We also propose how this model could be mapped onto a concrete policy meta-management system and sketch out issues worthy of further investigation in developing a holistic DSA management framework.

The management of dynamic spectrum access requires the coordination of administrative functions across multiple organizations, from regulators to secondary market operators and commons cooperatives. Policy-based management approaches to dynamic spectrum access must therefore support a wide range of organizational types and handle the relationships between policies authored separately within those organizations. A policy language for administering dynamic access to spectrum resources has been proposed by the DARPA XG initiative. This defines an expressive and extensible language for specifying policies that determine the correct behavior of RIF transceivers as spectrum usage opportunities occur. However, this language does not yet address the mapping of policies onto the complex organizational settings that are likely to emerge in the dynamic spectrum access domain. This paper defines how the DARPA XG policy language can be integrated with a meta-policy management scheme that provides the powerful organizational modeling and policy authoring authority control needed to manage the evolution of policies in these complex organizational settings. The benefits of this integration are illustrated through a case study based on the potential use of dynamic spectrum access licenses granted in Ireland for the DySpan 2007 conference, and the organizational conflicts that even this simple scenario can yield. The practical issues of administering a multi-organizational policy management system are examined through an analysis of the interactions between existing components that are being assembled to demonstrate sophisticated policy management of a cognitive radio system.

Advances in wireless networks and positioning technologies (e.g., CPS) have enabled new data management applications that monitor moving objects. In such new applications, realtime data analysis such as clustering analysis is becoming one of the most important requirements. In this paper, we present the problem of clustering moving objects in spatial networks and propose a unified framework to address this problem. Due to the innate feature of continuously changing positions of moving objects, the clustering results dynamically change. By exploiting the unique features of road networks, our framework first introduces a notion of cluster block (CB) as the underlying clustering unit. We then divide the clustering process into the continuous maintenance of CBs and periodical construction of clusters with different criteria based on CBs. The algorithms for efficiently maintaining and organizing the CBs to construct clusters are proposed. Extensive experimental results show that our clustering framework achieves high efficiency for clustering moving objects in real road networks.

Thus, a dialogue move is an instantiated scheme (i.e. an argument) or a CQ (i.e. a challenge on the argument instantiated in the scheme). The proposed dialogue game formalises the protocol based exchange of arguments defined in the ProCLAIM model. In this research, a smart lighting system based on a new autonomous distributed control method was developed to control lighting using illuminance sensors. By using infrared ray communication, one illuminance sensor sends a luminance control directive to several lighting fixtures located nearby. The luminance is made to change randomly within a fixed range to optimize the illuminance using the stochastic hill climbing method. The result of operational experiments using illuminance sensors that were preset to the target illuminance showed that the brightness at specified locations approached the target illuminance that the illuminance sensors were set to. The electrical power consumed by the lighting system was also minimized. Moreover, in comparison with lighting driven autonomous distributed controls of smart lighting systems, better results were obtained, indicating that the method is an effective new distributed control method.

It is very important in the field of bioinformatics to apply computer to perform the function annotation for new sequenced bio-sequences. Based on GO database and BLAST program, a novel method for the function annotation of new biological sequences is presented by using the variable-precision rough set theory. The proposed method is applied to the real data in GO database to examine its effectiveness. Numerical results show that the proposed method has better precision, recall-rate and harmonic mean value compared with existing methods.
