Integrated care approaches are becoming increasingly relevant with the current aging population. In the context of an integrated healthcare project, we developed a smart adaptive case management system for professionals that is currently being used for clinical trials. In this paper, we present the modeling requirements for integrated healthcare applications and use them to categorize and compare existing implementation approaches used in practice.

This paper examines innovative, including social entrepreneurship and modern opportunities for obtaining grant support for financing innovative projects, including social ones. The possibility of receiving grants from various funds is being considered. Detailed attention is paid to the stages of project development for drawing up an application for grant funding. Attention is drawn to certain nuances in the writing and processing of grant applications. We also conduct research on current conditions and factors that influence the development of innovative entrepreneurship, and compare Russian indicators with foreign ones. Detailed attention is paid to economic and innovative conditions, educational factors, measures to promote competition and tax incentives.

Customer churn prediction has been used widely in various kind of domain especially subscription-basis industries. With the rapid growth of telecommunication industry over the last decade, this industry not only focuses on providing numerous products, but also satisfying the customers as it is one of the key solutions to remain competitive. This research proposed MultiLayer Perceptron Method for churn prediction. The evaluation is compared with three classifiers which includes are Support Vector Machine, Naïve Bayes and Decision Tree in term of several aspects. In preprocessing phase, we employed Principal Component Analysis and normalization to find the correlation among all the variables. For the postprocessing, InfoGainAttribute is used to identify the highest factor attribute that leads to customer retention. It is found that MultiLayer Perceptron outperforms other classifiers and international plan plays important role to retain customer from leaving organization.

The Carbon Footprint of Bitcoin

Participation in the Bitcoin blockchain validation process requires specialized hardware and vast amounts of electricity, which translate into a significant carbon footprint. Here we demonstrate a methodology for estimating the power consumption associated with Bitcoin’s blockchain based on IPO filings of major hardware manufacturers, insights on mining facility operations, and mining pool compositions. We then translate our power consumption estimate into carbon emissions, using the localization of IP-addresses. We determine the annual electricity consumption of Bitcoin, as of November 2018, to be 48.2 TWh, and estimate that annual carbon emissions range from 23.6 to 28.8 MtCO2. This means that the level of emissions produced by Bitcoin sits between the levels produced by the nations of Jordan and Mongolia. With this article, we aim to gauge the external costs of Bitcoin, and inform the broader debate on the costs and benefits of cryptocurrencies. The externalities we discuss here may help policy-makers in setting the right rules as the adoption journey of blockchain has just started. © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The modeling and simulation community in aviation is in search of standardization in simulation scenario definition. While the System Entity Structure (SES) ontology promises an effective formal means of domain modeling, computational representation is still a key challenge to tackle for fostering wide-acceptance and standardization. This paper presents an eXtended Markup Language (XML) based approach. It first gives the relational specification and the schema definition of the SES ontology. Following a layered modeling workflow, it then presents a schema definition for the simulation scenario definition language and exemplifies its utilization. © 2018, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. The main point of this paper is to provide an affirmative answer through exploiting reinforcement learning (RL) in artificial intelligence (AI) for eliminating herding without any external control in complex resource allocation systems. In particular, we demonstrate that when agents are empowered with RL (e.g., the popular Q-learning algorithm in AI) in that they get familiar with the unknown game environment gradually and attempt to deliver the optimal actions to maximize the payoff, herding can effectively be eliminated. Furthermore, computations reveal the striking phenomenon that, regardless of the initial state, the system evolves persistently and relentlessly toward the optimal state in which all resources are used efficiently. However, the evolution process is not without interruptions: there are large fluctuations that occur but only intermittently in time. The statistical distribution of the time between two successive fluctuating events is found to depend on the parity of the evolution, i.e., whether the number of time steps in between is odd or even. We develop a physical analysis and derive mean-field equations to gain an understanding of these phenomena. Since AI is becoming increasingly widespread, we expect our RL empowered minority game system to have broad applications.

The evolution of technologies has allowed that every day more and more games are available on our mobile devices. These games have evolved in many ways depending on their field of application. Thus, one of those kinds of games is pervasive games1(PG). Each one of those fields has its own features and targets, which is the reason why researchers have defined pervasive games in many different ways. This is comprehensible from a technical point of view because each research field needs to implement their own properties. In this paper, we present a general overview of the meaning of pervasive games in different areas in order to check and collect their particularities. We also give a conceptual relationship diagram and a general definition that considers the user's pervasive experience found in the results of game experience design. © 2017 Association for Computing Machinery.

This article discusses the main problems associated with information security in corporate networks and ensuring the reliable operation of information systems and the services they provide. Currently, there are major changes in information security issues. They relate to the methods of work of attackers, the conditions of crimes commited in the computer sphere, as well as the consequences of illegal activities.
